@NarutoUzumaki01 You know, I wasn't planning on watching it, but seeing the reaction of some people, I just might.

I will post in here when the movie is released in the US, if I managed to survive. If not, you will all know the cause of my death.

I don't know if you called getting the pages free off the internet supporting...

@NarutoUzumaki01 You know, I wasn't planning on watching it, but seeing the reaction of some people, I just might.

That's what I will do. I will read Part 3 out of sheer curiosity, but I won't buy Part 3. If Part 3 is bad, I'll just stop reading it. Easy Peasy. After all these weeks, I'm indifferent and numb to Kishi's stupidity.

Oh, yeah, I don't think I will see it. It's not located anywhere near my town (unless Atlanta is included), but I can't bring myself to pay money for it. But I'll watch it once it's online.

No part three for me. Don't want it, not interested. Darn it all, can't companies just let a series rest in peace instead of extending it indefinitely? I think part three is the main reason we got the ending we did...not the NH, necessarily, but why it was horribly done and didn't feel like an ending. I can't forgive part three for ruining the story and characters I loved.  :hm:

The only way I'd read it if is certain people say things about it that make me curious or something. But I refuse to offer any monetary support.

I agree. The states might have a population close to overlapping Japan's three times over, but the anime industry is still, by and large, a fringe market. It's not part of the mainstream entertainment media like in Japan.

Honestly, the fact that they're going to market the film in other countries like Australia and Mexico before nations with a bigger market for Naruto like the UK almost makes me laugh. Are they seriously counting on Australia to make up the difference from losses in their home country?

Yes, I've heard about the threats as well. The sad truth is that these people might very well have had an impact on Kishi's final decision for writing the ending.

The US comic book market is shrinking. It has been for a long time. DC/Marvel (and by that I now mean Warner Brothers and Disney) make their money on outside materials, not the comics. They make money on movies, toys, and the like. Unlike Naruto though, they mange to please multiple subdivisions of their fandom threw multiple media aspects.

Let's take shipping for example. Superman is paired with two women depending on what media you enjoy. He is either with Lois Lane (his traditional lover) or Wonder Woman (because the US comic industry has a lot of beta males as well). So although the ship wars there are real and impassioned, fandoms still have places to go to enjoy what they like. Lois and Clark are together on the big screen, and in some universes in the comics. Superman and WW are together in the main comics timeline for now, which is a much smaller base.

Now the manga fans here? We are even smaller then the US comic book industry! Further, although some people enjoy that it's younger and more feminine market, they don't have as large of a universe to play in. There aren't multiple continuations of Naruto to watch and read, where if you don't like one version you simply go to another. Your stuck with what Kishmoto choose. If you don't like this ending, the only place you can go is fan arts and fan services, Kishimoto choose to cut ties with large portions of his fandom, he has to suffer the consequences of that choice now.

So I find this marketing idea well honestly funny. Like I said they are expecting a percentage of a very small fandom to help them out? To make the difference? I don't see it happening... hell just out of hand I expect there to be NH/SS fans who won't even give financially to Kishimoto not because they don't love him for what he did (many think he is the new William Shakespeare after all cause of this kitten) but because they never supported him... they've pirated everything.

I'm not aware of the comic book industry's livelihood or present status, but the fact that so many animated adaptations of the New 52 revamp have been introduced (Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, the upcoming Throne of Atlantis film, Son of Batman, ect, ect) using subject matter and a tone geared more towards the mature audiences is leading me to believe that their primary interests lie with the older fans first and foremost. But if what you say is true, the market is declining regardless of whatever tactics they are using to maintain interest in these new renditions. Interestingly enough, I've heard that the revamp has been met with its own share of controversies directed towards the artists.

Admittedly, the anime industry must have some measure of influence over the market if they're influencing artists and animators in the West (chiefly the ALA series) with their stylistic nuances. For a series like that to have acquired such a big reputation on a network as wide-scale like Nickelodeon implies that interest does exist for those markets. But again, as you put it, the core enthusiasts of manga/anime directly from Japan still comprise only a small percentage of the population.

Unfortunately we don't have much insight into the minds of the higher-ups over at Pierrot. What could be their reasoning for trying to appeal to a self-indulgent and remote group of people who would rather illicitly take from under-the-counter sources than purchase the merchandise at comic and book stores? From a distance, their surface logic seems ill-founded, almost bordering on desperation to win some approval and recognition for the decisions they played a part in making for the future of the story (despite the fact that the movie is already being projected to surpass RtN in box office eventually).

I remember when I was in high school. I wasn't into Naruto yet but my friend was reading them at the library. Before that, I remember seeing ads of Naruto and Sakura and I assumed it was his girlfriend. I asked if Sakura was his girlfriend. He said no it's Hinata. Even after that I was skeptical of NH and thank God my friend didn't turn me into a NH fan.

Back before I was into Naruto, my brother showed me a clip of the hotsprings scene from a Shippuden episode. That face Naruto made when Sai mentioned Sakura. I was like "Ooh, does he have a crush on her or something?"

So yeah, it was pretty darn obvious even to a first time viewer. I was initially a NH supporter, but there was no denying that Naruto was interested in Sakura.

I don't read too many Western comics, but yeah, that seems to happen a lot. I mean, sheesh, even in the Sonic comics I used to read. Sooo much hype about the pairings that didn't need to be there.

Well you misinterpreted it. Naruto only views Sakura as a competition just like he views Hinata or any other girl.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

I don't see how SP or Kishimoto expected anyone to buy that argument, or to be just fine and dandy with Naruto being that much of a jerk.

I'm just posting the link, So just like you, I don't whether it's true or not ! But I'm gonna believe that it's legit !

another thing I found on NF, for the ones who are interested :

And :

It's still just 2 weeks, but "The Last" has already reached 1,039,000,000 Yen! A movie runs for 2 months, so 1 month and 1-2 weeks still before the final box office!

About box officies, here's the previous movies's final box officies:
1.Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow = 1,370,000,000 Yen
2.Legend Of The Stone Gelel = 1,180,000,000 Yen
3.Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom = Couldn't find it
4.First Shippuden Movie = 1,210,000,000 Yen
5.Bonds = 1,160,000,000 Yen
6.Will Of Fire = 1,020,000,000 Yen
7.The Lost Tower = 1,030,000,000 Yen
8.Blood Prison = 800,000,000 Yen
9.Road To Ninja = 1,480,000,000 Yen
10.The Last = still running in the cinemas

I couldn't find the final box office of "Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom" (third Naruto movie).

I think that "The Last will be between "Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow" and "Road To Ninja", or nearly as "Road To Ninja". Speculators say that it will reach the 2 billion, but I don't think that. Well, one and half month is still before the final box office. Good luck for the movie.

This is pure epicness where can I read these for myself?

Where are you getting this information? It's a far-fetched conclusion to make that Kishi would be pledging any week for a specific fandom while the manga was ongoing. Any hint of prejudice could damage his reputation with a percentage of his fans. Moreover, Pierrot has indeed made their bed with the hormonally driven supporters of SS/NH, but they wouldn't break with such an important event in canonicity as the final reunion and battle with Team 7.

Hinata holds no purpose or relevancy to the personal aspirations of Naruto or the dynamics of his own team. Her single-minded obsessions will be left behind in the dirt where they belong if Pierrot is not so demented that they would outright break away from the manga to create their own twisted variation of the story.

I read the article last year on someone's deviant art account last year that had the official same by of Kishi declaring NS week because of the RTN success and that interview he stated that NS was going to be the endgame pairing and announced the NS child name( forgot his name is) and it most of the casual and general Japanese fans knew the NS had plenty of development to become canon. The was no harm in doing that. I guess everything changed when Kishi's father passed away and gave up on his work.

Yeah, the constant breaking apart and getting back together is so irritating. They're attempting to portray it as compelling drama, but it isn't. It's monotonous. That's actually something that turned me off of western comics and made me get into manga. I also find the lack of consistency to be bothersome, but that's to be expected with so many different artists and writers, I guess.
