*sigh* Zac, love ya dude, but Pachuco was causing all sorts of unnecessary nonsense. He only has respect for people who agree with him, and refuses to leave even though he keeps complaining. He brought his blog closing on himself.

As true as that may be, the reasons for his blog closing are complete crap from what I've seen, and he did bring up a few legitimate points that were completely ignored. A picture and a video with cuss words...? Really? That's being like, extremely overly sensitive. Plus, he was right about almost every post he made either being completely ignored or seen as hate speech (whether it was or not).

They might as well close my blog down, too. For even trying to defend him at all. :/ Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. Don't get me wrong, I know he could be offensive. But he wasn't wrong about everything, and I could understand some of his frustration. I saw some truly great posts from him that were completely ignored by nearly everyone here, no matter the quality of them. That poem he wrote? Amazing. But when I saw it, (which was a while after he posted it) no one said a word. I took the liberty of posting a reply, and I'm almost 100% sure that if I didn't, that post would have been entirely forgotten. That's just one example.

I didn't see the picture, so I can't judge it. And cursing is listed in the rules, so it's not completely out of left field, and that's not even why his thread was closed. Like I said, he was acting as if HE was the one that was always right. I haven't seen him make an opinion post that wasn't rude or condescending on here.

It being listed in the rules is a problem in and of itself, especially when he even warned everyone beforehand not to click the video if they didn't like cussing. A warning. And that's ignored. I think that's a severe problem in the rules.

And, before anyone sees this and thinks "omg he's starting another fight!!!1", read this: I am not. I'm giving explanation and reasons as to why I think what I think about this. The "fighting" here most of the time tends to be an illusion, anyways. I don't think I'm coming across as hostile here, either. I know it might be odd to see this, but I really think that I need to actually point this out at this place.

...Hm. I may have to take back some of what I said earlier. I just looked at the thread, and...they didn't even give a reason for closing it. Here's Sakura Blossom's post:

"Locked.

It's not a threat. At this point it's a given. You have zero respect, and as such are undeserving of a blog. Have a problem with it, use a PM."

I had to quote it like that because there's no Reply option to it, so I couldn't get an official official quote. But, on topic. She listed no reason. Just said "Locked". Unless having zero respect (from her) is reason enough to close a blog here. That's the only reason listed in the post that locked the thread. They really gave no explicit/good reason for closing the blog down.

If they don't like what you are saying, they will shut you off. Some times, I don't like it either, but I can't do anything about it, nor you or anyone else for the matter. To be fair, yes, he wasn't being the most polite with how he phrased what he said at that time. I did notice a few unneeded comments from him. Regardless, though, I think closing the blog like that was a very wrong move. But that's obvious by now.

As was already stated, having a blog doesn't somehow give you the ability to post things that are not allowed on the forum as a whole. The blogs are not a separate entity from the rest of the forum. They fall under the same rules that the rest of the forum does. And in case you don't know or simply forgot, *I* am the one who created this blog section in the first place, for people to have somewhere to express themselves and talk about their days. But that doesn't mean that you can use your blog as a place to diss, insult, curse, and post pics and videos that are against the rules -

Okay, let me list things out for you, as what should be plainly obvious obviously isn't -

1) Forum rule #1 broken -

(Swearing, Racism, Sexism, Cultural/Religious Discrimination.)

The submission of abusive posts/topics is a highly serious offense, and the poster will almost certainly be banned for at least a week - and it could be permanent. Abusive and discriminatory language is not welcome here.

Any posts that contain excessive profanity (masked or otherwise) will be deleted without notice. Repeat offenders will be issued a warning.

He posted an offensive, racist picture and as stated will happen in the rules, it was taken down.

2). Forum rule #2 broken -

Telling people not to watch a video full of cursing is guaranteed to make them watch it. And posting the video when you already know that it's not allowed, is blatant disregard for the rules that have been put in place, because this is a 13+ forum. Just because you and he don't like the rules, doesn't mean that they're there without a purpose. Or would you actually prefer H&E to be shut down, because we allowed minors to view and click things that by law, we've stated we will not allow on this site? We've already been threatened with litigation once, and we'd like to avoid going through that experience ever again. The rules as they are are there to protect you, protect us, and protect H&E as a whole. They aren't going to change, no matter how much you personally don't like them. They are there for a reason.

3) Forum rules #3 and 4 broken -

(Be nice and treat others with respect./Flaming is not tolerated.)

Let me list off all the many ways he insulted you, me, everyone on H&E, and H&E itself -

A). Your members are overly sensitive, single-minded children.
B). Your members are self-deluding fanatics who run and cry.
C). Your debate threads are a joke.
D). Your policies are cowardly.
E). This forum is full of 'circle jerks'

How many more forum rules did you need or want him to break, as that's what he would have continued to do if the blog had remained open. And he would have just kept on getting nastier and more insulting, and that would have broken yet another rule of disrupting the forum. Because as has been said many times now, and that was written long long ago in my first original blog post, the blog section is part of H&E and so is subject to the rules, just as much as the debate thread is. Many people enjoy using their blogs to talk with and connect with members on a more personal level. Not belittle and insult them. This is the kind of person you want to defend, then that's your prerogative. Just know that whatever penalties Pachuco invokes, like having his blog closed, he brought all on himself and no one forced him, or twisted his arm to be rude, abrasive, insulting, and near-constantly antagonistic. The forum rules are there to protect all of us, and to help keep this forum as peaceful and enjoyable for everyone as much as possible. If someone willfully breaks the rules as much as Pachuco has done, and for as long and as many times as he's done, then whatever punishments are clearly listed that you will receive, you will get.

Now, I know that no matter what I say you will very more than likely disagree and argue against, and I really have no interest in being involved in a back-and-forth argument. I've stated and very clearly and with much detailed laid out why Pachuco's blog was locked. If you still don't like it after all of that, then there really is nothing else I can do for you.

I guess it's just a problem with the site's rules itself I have, then. And no amount of arguing will make any change on that. I know that for sure now. Oh well. That doesn't mean that I won't stop sharing my opinion on these things and defending it, but there's nothing I can do right now to reply to your post because it was all rules. Actually, at this rate, I might not stick around much longer. :/
