The writing is just plain bad, it has seemed hurried for a while now....... In retrospect it seemed that 615 was indeed the beginning of Naruto's reciprocation/acknowledgement of Hinata's feelings. The fact that 631 happened after that, if it was what Kishimoto intended it to be from the beginning (a red herring) then that is just atrocious writing.

 

I could careless about the pairings at this point, and it is sad to see if not come to fruition, but the only rational conclusions I can come up with is that this storyline in general is either THAT bad or my interpretation of this story for the past 8 years is completely wrong.......

To me i think it was the chapter were naruto saves hinata from the zetsus and compliments her meanwhile sakura he just asked her if she was ok and just left. yeah and i guess all those moments of naruto still loving sakura till the end really was the intended red herring...

You know what? I think Kishi purposely did this to get these kinda reactions. He knows nobody other than die hard NH fans can accept this asspull love between Naruto and Hinata. So what does he do? He makes Sakura, the obstacle to NH, behave in a way that makes fans hate her and start looking at Hinata in a better light. They start to feel empathy for Hinata's love. Emotions get the better of people, they forget everything Sakura has done for Naruto, hate her for 699 and start rooting for Hinata instead.

 

What a pathetic thing to do to a character of his own creation! Masashi Kishimoto, I regret that I defended you so much all these times. You most certainly did not deserve it.

I swear... If that was what he wanted, I will go on a killing spree.

 

How dare he play around with one of my favourite characters!? Sakura deserved more!

No matter what the manga or anyone else says, Sakura doesn't love Sasuke. Not as much as Naruto. I don't know what happened the last few chapters. But there's no denying it.

Just picked on random page, at it was page 16 on chapter 699. Don't even need to read the rest, Oh Sakura 699 chapter never fell out of love of a person who never showed he cared, and we never even found out what about it was that you fell in love with, I still don't know know to this date, it was obvious at the beginning that crush was skin deep, but for some reason Kishi had to tell us, it's love, and I feel like a chump now for actually questioning the why. Apparently Love really doesn't need a reason, it can be just skin deep.

 

One Day Salad will ask 'Mom why do you love your dad'

and her answer will be 'He's so cool, and mysterious'

Her follow up question will be 'Yeah but what about him did you love? His smile, his personality? His sense of humour?'

Sakura will then just tip her head to her side, and look at her daughter questionably.

I'd have hope but then again , officially releasing this bs. Nah I'll pass but thanks for nothing Kishi. So In the end you had Sakura play with Naruto's feelings back during her confession. In the end you've cut off the interaction between Naruto and Sakura just to throw it all on SS. In the end the bench scene meant absolutely nothing. In the end Naruto is an absolute disappointment. He gave up and never once voiced his feelings in Part 2. Yeah this isn't the ending. This is simply money talking. Hope he's happy and I'm not reading anymore of his bs stories. kitten pairing up their children. He can have that bs and he's likely pairing them for just Naruto and Sasuke.

So what's a good replacement for Naruto? One Piece? Fairy Tail? Something where the pairings make sense.

 

It depends on what you are looking for. If you "only" seek romance that makes sense you can try Kimagure Orange Road, Touch, Maison Ikkoku... City hunter is an action series but the pairing makes sense and has development.

I am literally really upset at this.

I was in a very abusive relationship that I had to flee and file police reports to get out of. The guy was hitting me and choking me and I thought if I just stuck around with it things would get better and it almost killed me.

To see Kishimoto reinforcing this mindset is utterly devastating to me. Like...I am literally emotionally distraught right now because it's so kittening disturbing to me. I liked NaruSaku because it was a story of a girl making the right choice for the right reasons and ending up with someone that truly loved her int he end but I guess Domestic Violence > Love. 

Thanks Kishi, I'll be sure to never let any children read any of your filth.

I'm gonna go with the editor................I kinda saw this coming,If kishi had to make NaruSaku canon he would loose 70% of the fandom(international) and that sure won't help the upcoming "The New Era Project" manga he might be working on.
