So the final battle is going to take place here in this ravaged pit of destruction? Realistically it makes sense, for the reasons that someone else already explained. A somewhat worn out opposition, no hope for reinforcements, assassination targets are helplessly immobilised, and the bijuu are all conveniently placed together... The pay-off to this manga's continual build-up to this confrontation seems wooden though, almost bland. With the ailing quality over the past few arcs and reader's weariness, it just doesn't inspire the same enthusiasm and interest that it once did. The impression that I have is that it's here, so let's get it out of the way finally. Ironically, the characters themselves aren't that horrified by the crimes Sasuke is perpetrating in front of their eyes. They don't seem too interested in his uninspired grasp at power or his declaration to have all of the world leaders murdered. They're probably thinking, "We just dealt with worst, this won't be difficult at all."
At least this chapter is offering the chance to restrengthen Sasuke's character after the embarrassing performance against Kaguya. But he'll need to think outside the box if he expects to endure for long against Naruto. Tried-and-true tactics alone won't save his skin.
So how many chapters we got left till the movie? People say 8 but i count 11 wats the dealio?
This fight is already setting itself up to be shorter than the last one at the VotE. Granted, it was padded with flashbacks detailing Sasuke's past which we had only seen glimpses of at that time. If this really is the final battle, though, you can be certain that this sequel will have flashbacks scattered throughout.
