Sorry if something along these lines have already been said and I was late to the party, but I have a feeling that NH fans and/or Anti-NS/Sakura Haters will try to over-hype Hinata's scene as her being more powerful and more deserving of the heroine title, but I'm pretty sure that Sakura summoning Katsuyu is much more impressive by far. And yet Narutopedia still hasn't listed the Summoning Jutsu on her list of Jutsu. Granted, the chapter was just released and they did finally list her seal in her technique list, but you'd think Sakura summoning a Slug would be straightforward enough to list that technique as one she knows how to do right away, right?

And while we're on the subject of Narutopedia, I saw that in Sakura's trivia section they listed the supposed "fact" that Sakura being the main heroine herself, Kishi said that "Hinata" would make a better "heroine" than "Sakura" would. Does everyone in the fandom actually believe he said this? It's times like this that I wish all interviews done with Kishi where translated by official professionals instead of fans that could take advantage of the language barrier in their favor.

Going back to the topic of this chapter, Kiba was awesome with his new Jutsu. Though I wish Kishi would've actually made a shout-out to Greek Mythology himself instead of calling the Technique "Three-Headed Wolf" or whatever that misspelled text on that page of the mangapanda scan was supposed to be. Also, Formation E is definitely an epic team collaboration technique.

Sad thing is that the translation about heroine is wrong. He only said that people tell him that Hinata is the actual heroine while he disagreed entirely, along with the infamous, "You say 'Hinata, Hinata'. I say 'She's not Hinata'". I don't like talking about others, but just give up, she won't be stronger than Sakura from this point forward. She only show a little of her power in the last chapter, so they're only asking for correction. Right now, before Naruto gets his power back, Team 7 is essential to this battle and summons show.

@atheck:
The only way to combat Amaterasu is seal it just like what jiraiya did to itachi Amaterasu. And this is not naruto first time to see black flame In action. Oh and I don't want to see sakura burn alive in the black flame. I can't bear with it and so do naruto.

OK, so... let's see...

-Looks like this rivalry might get even worse than the last time they fought each other. Both are acknowledging each other skills and their look towards each other is not just a look of acknowledgment.

-Minato's speech... hehe. I have to wonder if he will add his own element to the rasengan. I mean, he is, at the moment, in Kyuubi mode... and he learns really fast (after all, the rasengan was learned from the BD, right?). Anyway, I can see now that there is a subtle difference in the design of the symbols.

-Interesting to see the rookies playing their part on the battle. As for the lack of teamwork with Team 8... I'm not sure what can they pull together. Does someone have an idea about what strategy can they pull out together?

-Anyway, Cerberus for Kiba... Parasite Giant Bugs for Shino (I'm still laughing at Ino's reaction).. and the Hakke 64 fists for Hinata. Was I the only one who saw that each one of them was influenced one way or another by the performance displayed by Team 7? Kiba says that Sasuke's words are "strangely emotionally uplifting"; Shino speaks about chakra control (Sakura), and Hinata... well... you all know already.  That said, the more I read a out Hinata's words, the less I see romance in them. Sure, I do find it questionable that she didn't mention Neji in her thoughts, but it was actually Neji's words which helped her complete the 64 fists technique. You could say that I have mixed feelings about Hinata's monologue.

-InoShikaCho formation... well, my way of expressing my impression can be summarized in these few words: Way to turn a Yo-yo into a "Ball and Chain". :O

-Hey Sai! Long time no see man! What? Juubi has you falling in line? Well, I guess he may have made a mistake. After all, you just gave the intel necessary to make Team 7 display even more awesomeness. BTW, am I the only one who thinks that you should be the one with the Hawk summon? Then again, you can picture your way int battle, so I hope Kishi puts the ink in your skills.

-And last, but not least, 3x summon. Looks like there will be a clash of the titans pretty soon. And Gamakichi huh? Heh... who knows... two chances at future compliments sound good to me. :D

I see. Hmm, it would be nice for Sakura have something like to regrow any type of limb. To regrow even a head, lol.

That would make her life more easy. Cut it, get away from the back flames, ta.da.

I don't know I wanna see something that can take Amaterasu down, besides Black Flame Sealing technique.

Well if Sakura could develop a technique or some sort of neutralizing agent that is capable of rendering the flames harmless similar to the antidote that she created which converted Sasori's poison into proteins then it may be possible for her to counteract Amaterasu. But reacting to a poison concocted from various metallic substances is a fairly different concept to handle compared to somehow stopping chakra powered flames that instantly materialize and are claimed to be inextinguishable.

I do wonder if it has something to do...

And also, notice how they summoned with their left hands while the Sannins did it with the right hand.

Would it have a connection/meaning behind?!

All three of them summoned with their right hands. Don't remember which hands the Sannin used, but all three of Team 7 used their right hands to summon their animals.

Well, in a way, it's nice to know that they will seal Juubi instead of ending it. That said that's something you can only say "We're safe...for now" rather than "Yatta!!! We did it!" In other words, if the sealing is the only option, why? That means it's setting up for something and the idea of Jinchuuriki is still on the air. Not sure who, but it's there.

Won't it be easier for her if she removed the skin that was being caught in Amaterasu and regenerate them again?

I remember Gaara's sand being a very efficient counter to Amaterasu. Amaterasu won't extinguish until they burn that whole material. Sand are only combination of small particles,so it's easy to extinguish it.

If Sakura can remove her skin to the cellular level, she can counter Amaterasu with the least damage.

This time she won't be healing fodder. :fu:

Chiyo's words are coming to a close.

And oh, the death door is close too!

I haven't felt the sense of danger since Neji died. :excited:

Yeah, i'm getting this feeling someone/some of the k11 are going to be killed soon. I would LOVE for there to be a sudden panel of sasuke's sword going through someone when he betrays the alliance...

Like , you dont see the face/ defining features of the body.. a cliffhanger... only to find out he stabbed a fodder nin XD

Well, two things I noticed about this just now:

1) I find it funny when Sai got shot down, Naruto is like "OH kitten!" while Sakura was like "Oh no!" and Sasuke was like "What the...Who's that?"

2) So they are going to seal Juubi, rather than beating to death, which is like beating a extreme rare monster in a MMORPG with one guy. I guess that makes sense. That way, they can focus on Madara and Obito when they are next. My problem is now rising because Juubi will be sealed. That means it's still alive. That means the possibility of....*looking at Sasuke*...no, no. I'm jumping to conclusion again...

Yeah, sealing the jubbi is a temporary solution, and in great favor of sasuke. This could be a set-up for sasuke taking 10 tails.

Lol, peopel already started to diminish Sakura.

Hinata can close her tenketsu

Shino's bugs eat her

Kiba cuts her

Choji goes YoYo on her, etc.

Do people even realize that's more to Sakura besides her power-ups?

She tricked Kiba, Lee and Sai just like that.

And she has the terrain alteration to her advantage.

And now a supa-dupa badass Slug who I bet has the same defensive capabilities like Katsuyu.

Like, really?!

Sakura can use Medical Ninjutsu to open chakra points, also with her seal she has storder chkra she can use to force them open, like Naruto did in the fight against Neji.plus she can one punch her to oblivion even without Chakra enhancements.

Sakura's mastered Poisons so she could easily kill Shino's bugs.

Kiba's sensitive nose means again she can use her poisons to her advantage, also he uses speed and power for his moves, Sakura can destroy the playing field to disrupt hiswar path and with her chakra enhanced punch and his reclass speed one well timed punch and his own speed would make him mush in seconds.

Choji might be be big and strong put Sakura is just as deadly, she also knows chakra scalpels and probably the electic disrution jutsu Tsunade used on Kabuto so she can disable his movements easily specially at his giant size..

Her most difficul opposition would be Shikamaru, damaging the arena would just give him more shadows to play with, his shadow possesion jutsu would mean she can't get close to him. But then again Shikamaru is probably the strongest member of the Konoha 12 afer Naruto and Sasuke.

I just realised Hinata only just mastered the 64 palms now, so she's at Neji's level from over three years ago, infact he had the 128 palms so she's not even at that level yet, actually I don't think she we've seen her to the dome move either so she's basically at the stage Neji was during the prelims.

How would that benefit Sasuke? His bloodlust has logic behind it, as crazy as it may sound.

He wouldn't do anything without a reason.

I just meant that Sakura's words, "severe wounds" was foreshadowing. And I hope I'm right, because Neji just died, the rookies should be thinking "I've got to step my game up, or else I'll end up like that". But they're joking around about being Hokage.. :twitch:

I dunno 'bout you guys, but I don't think I'm exaggerating.

well least this week we won't be making as big a deal, oddly enough the Narutopedia description of what happened with Hinata may sound a bit more accurate then what some are proclaiming, here is what they put under Hinata's page this week, should clear it up:

Following Kiba's proclamation to join the fight after witnessing Team 7's actions. Hinata stepped in, attacking a mini clone of the ten tails with eight trigrams sixity four palms. For a moment she stumbled at executing 32 strikes, leading her to think she would not be able to complete the full 64 strikes. She then recalled Naruto's determination and Neji's instruction, and found the determination to finish the 64 strikes , therefore completing the technique. Afterwards she used the twin lions fist technique declaring that from that point on she would always complete the technique.

So if anyone is still puzzled over her stuff this chapter, for once Narutopedia may have had a clearer representation of it, Hinata could have been referring to the 8 trigrams technique and how to move forward with it, possibly stating how she may aim to where neji was as well such as 128 strikes, so no romance, it was possibly just Neji's instruction and Naruto's determination that led gave her a skill/improvement internally role. She could have been referring to how she would always move forward in her skills so yeah if anything, overblown hype could be it again.

Well, this chapter was a setup chapter and when K6 did their attack, it's like another way of saying, "If you want to enter to this intense battlefield, please step forward." So I like this chapter because everyone has stepped up and pretty much accepted this crazy mission. I don't think he will stab a person to do this, but I do think if he gets the power, he will force people to bow to him and accept him as the new Hokage. Something like Code Geass where Lelouch invaded the empire, and forced everyone to bow to him, literally.

As for the seal, yeah, that could be scary because it's down but not out. So yeah, the chance is increasing.

It's funny to think that it's only now that Hinata has finally reached Part 1 Neji level of ability. Not trying to take away from her moment, I actually enjoyed seeing her finally about to use what previously was Neji's signature move. In a way I think Kishi is making Hinata give homage to Neji by mastering the 64 palms.

One could argue that Hinata is better than Part 1 Neji since she has her lion fists, but you have to remember that Neji also utilized the Kaiten, which Hinata never seemed to learn.

You know, it would be funny if all of the current summonings are truly children of the originals. We know Gamakichi is son of Gamabunta, but let's see what the next chapter reveals about the new slug and snake.

I also like the possibility of Gamakichi once again implying that Naruto and Sakura are tied by the red string of fate. But seriously, I've heard of growth spurts but Gamakichi really takes it to the next level.

Or if it would be something to keep away the flames, something similar to Naruto's kyuubi chakra....

Combat attire that conceals her entire body, including her hair, that happens to have multiple thick layers of fabric stacked on top of each other that can be easily removed if the need arises? Well excluding Sakura developing some some sort of barrier technique or chakra shroud of her own there really isn't much that can be offered to prevent the flames from successfully appearing on her person.

Won't it be easier for her if she removed the skin that was being caught in Amaterasu and regenerate them again?

I remember Gaara's sand being a very efficient counter to Amaterasu. Amaterasu won't extinguish until they burn that whole material. Sand are only particles,so it's easy to extinguish the Amaterasu.

If Sakura can remove her skin to the cellular level, she can counter Amaterasu with the least damage.

There have been only a few methods depicted which are capable of successfully extinguishing or removing Amaterasu that does not involve mutilation. If someone lacks the extractable armour or attire necessary to endure the size of the attack then they have only few options if they want to survive. A sealing technique or removal of the part of the body that has been burned by the attack are the only other known methods if you do not have MS.

I was thinking about that as well. Sakura's "Delicate Illness Extraction Technique" does allow her to remove substances using an unspecified fluid used in medical practices which doesn't require direct physical contact. If she could combine the effects of that jutsu with the anatomical dissection properties of a Chakra Scalpel then removing the epidermis that is burning may be possible; after extracting the tissue being damaged she would restore the affected area to its normal state. It does seem like a creative method to prevent Amaterasu from spreading across your body.
