You know what's always funny? When people tell others they have to "move on" it's not really a choice. I know what they try to mean and I know they just want to help, but "moving on" is something that happens regardless if you want it to or not.

I find myself wondering if it would be better to say "Move up"

I try to look past it sometimes... but I normally tell myself it's time to move forward, yet I always feel like I'm moving back to be honest.

It's just....you never really move on from it.

There will always be the memories of it haunting you. It's human nature to linger on the faults we have. So we never really move on from it. This is especially true for things that run deep.

I guess eventually you come to accept it, but moving on implies you should just forget.

Maybe because I have heard it so often, it is degrading after a while.

Admittedly, friends can only do so much. They are great for support, but they can't fullfill everything and the needs of some things. So, sometimes you need that person who is more. We don't move on from memories. We live on from them. Everyday is a struggle, but you find the reasons to keep going.

You may not be able to forget and even have regrets, but you can find things that give you hope again and happiness. So I never tell people to move on because you can't. You can only live on and find the happiness to fill what was missing.

You can't erase the past, but you can make a better future.

It can be both good and bad. Good if done right, Bad if done wrong.

I know. I have been through 7 of them myself, but that doesn't mean it is bad. Everything has contributing factors in it.

Haveing a good life is always going to be the hardest with many contributing factors, but isn't it worth it? People enjoy the podcast, but that takes a lot of work. Video games are enjoyable and they take a lot of work.

It's an adventure.

Yeah, we'll always remember the past, and have to work for a better future. Plus, to be more strong. Hard events make us more strong and know more how to deal with the ones in the future, well, if the same events occur.
I believe that new hard events in life will occur, but also we can manage to deal with them from what we had to go through in the past. Maybe, it will bring us down, but like always, we try to find a way to make it through for other coming days.

Agree. It should be more like "move up". Seems more appropriate in some way.

A person waits to be more at peace after some hard moments or events happens. Feels like there's a pain in your heart and in the whole chest even.
Though, we have the tendency to keep on living, and wish for inner peace as a priority. Thus, moving onward or upward, what comes to our mind as a way to finish or decrease this struggle, and trying to search for comfort from friends. Wants or happens to feel happy in their actions of support and their words, and how they show their care.
Memories will be there, but the willful desire to be better is pulling us forward.

Which is why I'm a pretty cautious type of guy. I kind of go through the motions, even though I've never been in a single relationship in my life. Tried twice, only to fail at the mere mention of the word "date". I mean it was clear that they liked me enough to talk with me daily, the one was willingly my cooking partner in Cooking class, it's feels like all of it was just a tease. I really curse the friend zone to no end nowadays.
