They can persist in trying to drive home this new series as much as they want. It doesn't detract from the reality of their malicious promotional tactics being exposed, Kishi's flip-flopping, the exhaustion from a disheartened fanbase that has been aching for the ending for some time now, and their poor-quality effort to restart the series with a cast of characters that no one is aware of and was obviously spawned with the interest of prolonging a tired-out series. 

 

While I do believe that it's unlikely, if this series doesn't meet up to their expectations financially and receptively, then it should lend them some perspective and help them to realise the trouble they're burdening themselves with over simply making a ending that coincided with the manga. Could anything come from such a realisation? It's possible. But we've become so disheartened by the lies that it would no longer matter to us. 

 

I agree. In the end, Naruto was just a tool for the bigger organization.

What the character represents is soon much different from the people who created and promoted him. And their actions only made the chasm between them that much greater. 

 

And I understand what you mean that hopefully they might learn a lesson from this debacle. But....in my experience, the creatives and the 'powers that be' are vastly different. There is an inherent amount of distrust from managers and paper pushers for the creative people that have to work for them. What I mean is that the ones who have the creative vision are rarely in positions of power, or given creative freedom to see their vision through to the end. Once their creation starts becoming successful or profitable, the stakes get higher and the freedom diminishes. Managers line up like vultures on a wire, trying to dictate the outcome so that they will have the biggest piece to pull from the carcass when the whole thing is over. 

 

Hahahaha - I sound so cynical!!! I'm not that bad though, I'm just thinking realistically. Naruto is a whole business, not just the single story that the fans see. And yes, Kishimoto has lost a lot of personal credibility. But the ones who are over him, just see it as a brand they can squeeze a little more out of before his star fades. And then there will be someone else to take his place.

Yes he did and he's favorite romance movie was 50 Days of Summer  that should tell you enough 

 

i'm afraid this may be true. it seems like they were more pissed off for different reasons other than the blatant sexist and character assassinations.

That might be the case but I don't think so . You see the ratings of Naruto has dropped immensely   even before the ending bc of how plot of the story was being handled I've seen many Western fans  and Japanese fans abandoning this manga or complaining about the plot and how the characters are being handled  so its not just about who gets more screen time .

 

Also as we've seen even from the Japanese fans  they hate the ending as a whole they hate what has become of Naruto to the point of being disgusted by him by what they did to him and Sakura robing her of her role  and Hinata being the center of it all , and the others  there are many of them who refuse to follow Burito bc of has happened  bc of what Kishi and SP said and done .  

 

As @tricksie said I really believe that this is the beginning  of their end for them   many Westerns has quit and dropped Naruto  all the Naruto sites look dead with only NH/SS shippers in there the rest they just don't care anymore . I believe we'll see the results of this scam that they did when Burito starts LOL .

Interesting they don't show weapons in it. Sakura looks like she needs something in her hands. 

 

Naruto looks like a terrible cut-and-paste of body and legs. I liked the image of him with the kyuubi tales behind him. But this one looks ridiculous.

 

So this is a stage play.... Why are they making these images look like movie stills, wtih the crazy angles, the impossible moves and the red flaming tails? It won't look like this on the stage. It's gonna be more like the Ember Island Players! All silk streamers and wooden sets and terrible makeup!

Oh well not that I give any kitten anymore Naruto is dead to me I can only rage and laugh at Kikitten's BS now  its not like the novels will change or justify how this ending happened it will only be more forced BS that came out of nowhere  .

It would be silly to claim that Kishi's exposure to public scrutiny ends with his official involvement with studios. Who knows what array of quotes he may provide when the contractors, studios, and employers are no bearing down upon him, hissing in his ear on what to so say for the sake of their promotional campaign. I want to hear whether he will begin to sing a different tune by then or not. He's already gone on record in trying to discredit his involvement in the film while stressing the notion that this film's subject matter was the brainchild of Pierrot chiefly.

Pierrot has also retained the rights to produce and market the franchise even after Kishi's contractual obligations are fulfilled. He's not the one spearheading this new series.
