This topic is lockedUgh. I hate tragedies. And this series DOESN'T need one unless it's necessary (like if this series was in a seinen genre). I don't know why people like tragedies. Its like authors absolutely hate happy endings when they writing their stories..

The one where Naruto and Sasuke have both perished in battle against Madara and the women who have earnestly and faithfully remained by their sides throughout their entire ordeals are doing everything they can to save them.

Im ok with the true end, narusaku occurred, and sftrr thst chapter it all became a genjutsu. The true NS got on a horse an road off into the sunset, leaving the kitten lies behind
So does that mean that "The True End" chapter really was the true end for Kishimoto?
Eh, I could see it. Kishimoto loves his tragedies. The series was never about romance. So I could see that he wouldn't care one bit about completing Naruto or Sasuke's storylines.
And yeah, unfortunately, Sasuke has been driving this plot since the beginning. So it's terrible to admit Naruto was a plot device, but that's what he's been for a long time.
I think Kishimoto fell in love with his antihero and lost perspective on his hero.
NaruSaku is heaven and earth without one there'd never be the other

Tragic NS/SK ending vs. Retcon ending where nothing makes sense and everyone is OOC.
Yeah, as much as I hate tragic endings, I'll take the tragic ending. Not because I'm an NS fan, but because that way Kishi couldn't completely twist everything in the story into this horrid mess that we see before us.

Yeah, I agree. Not the happiest ending, but at least it would have remained true to the storyline.
