Does anyone here believe that Kishi's self-destructive behaviour in regards to Naruto's character might have been spurred by Junko's recent objections to come out and give her full support for the spin-off? Think about it. Her recent suggestions of the ending and Hinata being shoehorned into the limelight having an unsupported, twisted nature about them. These apparent second-thoughts on voicing Naruto's son even though he made an appearance in the recent film. And most recently, her rebuttal made against Kishi to silence him while he was giving one of his controversial statements (an action which isn't normally seen in voice actresses towards the mangaka, I believe).
All of this leads to me believe that it's because of Junko's unwillingness to smile through her teeth and agree with all of the nonsense that's being flung to justify this inane turn of the series that Naruto is being pushed back. If she truly intends to part ways with Naruto after the anime is finished then Kishi and Pierrot will either need to find a replacement voice actress (something that is not so easily carried out in Japan apparently) or minimise Naruto's place in the story for the future projects. I'm starting to believe that they chose the latter option.
