Looks like Kishi said in JF that Naruto's journey ended when he saved Sasuke.

Basically Naruto was just a plot device to save the true MC of the story.

I heard that the voice actors/ actresses were reciting some lines during Jump Festa...

Apparently, this is what Noriaki said as Sasuke about Sakura...

Sasuke’s seiyuu at jump festa said Sasuke’s line towards Sakura very softly. Especially the “you have nothing to do with my sins” line. Fans in the audience loved it and reacted to his gentle voice.

I love that Nori understood what that line meant about Sakura not being a part of his sins.

I'll avoid the last episode of the anime for sure.

sensei(=kish) said it had to be 'the valley of the end' where Sasuke went into sulk and Naruto stayed as his friend to the very end....in short 'Naruto' is a story about bringing back Sasuke from the sulk. 

-to the q 'what would you have done if Sasuke hadn't gone into Sulk?' 
sensei answered probably hed have made some other chara sulk (laughs). 

 

"Naruto" isn't a story about Naruto becoming acknowledged after a lonely and tragic childhood, it isn't a story about said boy achieving his dreams. It is all centered around the sauce

Of course Sakura is not a part of Sasuke's sins. While he was in emo angst mode, Sakura only ever tried to help him out of the kindness of her heart. But, did that mean kitten to Sasuke? Hell no. Only Naruto and Itachi matter to him.

Yes, exactly. Sakura, more than any other, was very protected and respected. 

 

So I can just excuse away the bare midriff as a fashion thing. It's to make her more sexually attractive. And Ino? The skirt slung half off her waist and the curve of her hip showing? Seriously?!? It's awful looking!! 

 

Kishimoto and the new illustrators didn't make the women more powerful as they aged — just sexier. With the exception of Hinata, who got a boob reduction with her promotion to lead girl/Naruto's wife. It's so sexist, and has so completely destroyed everything I liked about this story. Just makes me want to throw up.

 

Pierrot has always done everything they could to undermine Sakura. Her looks, her relevancy, her personality... All of it is tampered with to make her look extraneous and unrelatable. They never shared in Kishi's ideal of her. Instead they would rather strip away the developmental effort of her character in the manga that has been given to Sakura, then apply it to Hinata because she's "more deserving" of the labour in their eyes. It's for that reason that I can't imagine the studio evoking the imagery of a sex object with her when they already have Hinata, Ino, and others to poke and prod with skimpy attire impractical for the challenges they encounter on a daily basis. 

 

While Kishi might have gone off the deep end by controverting events and characteristics in the manga, I can't imagine him abandoning his old practices of putting character integrity before indulging the perverse wishes of so-called "fans" who only see these characters as objects of desire instead of individuals with personalities and ambitions. Even Ino, while her sexuality was made to become a notable trait of her character in Part 2, it didn't overwrite the significance of her bonds with the people in her life or when she was motivated to act. It was only in The Last that she began to act like a bimbo that shoots in and out in order to give some momentary eye-candy to the readers. But let's not forget that this film was originally Pierrot's idea. Kishi may have felt content to leave the future likenesses of the cast as they were glimpsed at in the epilogue. So I chiefly hold Pierrot responsible for this unfortunate turn of characterisation with the looks more than Kishi.

Wow. What a terrible thing to say about your main character. To literally call him a plot device, not a plot driver. Naruto's single purpose was to bring Sasuke back? Not only did Kishi ruin Naruto's character, he just said that he wasn't the main character anymore. This man is the epitome of a disgrace. He should be more than ashamed as a writer, I absolutely will never touch a work by him again. He destroyed an entire series, characters included, due to stupidity. I hope SP is proud, they turned a once good series into a burning pile of horse kitten, and not even the writer cares.

I'll just stick to fanfic where Naruto is the main character, Sakura is the heroine, both of their characters are intact and resemble my Naruto and Sakura, where Hinata is as irrelevant as she always was, where Sasuke gets his ass whooped like he deserves and is not the focus of the story, as he never should have been. Both he and Hinata destroyed this manga, what a disgrace.

This series was never about what Naruto struggled to achieve, it was about Sasuke attaining what he neither earned nor deserved.

Somehow hearing this hurts a lot more than the ending did . This is so sad and really makes me regret ever reading this manga . Naruto was the only reason I ever got into it ... I never cared for Sasuke .... and now this . What a kittening kitten , I really hate his guts now .

Of course Sakura wasn't a part of anything that Sasuke did not even his life he didn't give a  kitten about her nor she ever understood him that's why he was indifferent toward her and didn't had any impact on his life and decisions . Sakura was only a part of his abuse toward her  but yeah kitten that  it doesn't matter all is good  all its need is I'm sorry not like he did anything to atone for what he did to her .

Further proof that Kishimoto doesn't give a kitten about any character other then the Sauce.
I knew he favored Sasuke over Naruto and now there is proof.
Kishi really loves the undeserving characters over the ones who have had to actually work hard, I.E Naruto and Sakura.

I guess He wants to be a Sasuke and Hinata; loved for basically doing kittening nothing but causing pain and getting in the way.
