I feel bad for the SasuKarin fan, and it does seem almost similar to when the fan committed suicide because Itachi died. Although this SK is still alive which is good, but I hope everything works out for her.  

 

Now with adding 2 pages to the final chapters honestly that's going to change anything. If it had to do with replacing chapters 699 and 700 with two chapters and basically we have the ending that was suppose to happen then I might take that into consideration. Possibly changing my mind about not buying the final volume.  Guess I was expecting too much for that news to happen then.

 

 

lol at Junko's statement towards Kishi. that just makes me laugh to here her say that too him. I hope it kicks him at his most vulnerable spot and makes him live in agony..  okay I'm not that cruel to view him that way as a person, but at least see I'd like to see him fall as mangaka from a career standpoint after what he pulled.

 

 

Hmm watch the anime first alright... I did start reading the manga last night up to like chapter 10, and I gotta say so far I'm really liking it. Kaneki is an interesting character, and I feel bad for what he has the go through especially after that first chapter. Touka is taking a bit of my liking, but  not too much at the moment. I'm guessing there is more to her character in the following chapters. So season 2 will be an original story and it comes on January 8th sweet that's the day after my birthday. I'll be looking forward to that too, and considering the anime is only 12-13 episodes (I think) it should be an easy watch then. 

Oh, I remember that Itachi fan... Too some people Naruto takes over their life, it seems. Not gonna lie, I was very depressed when the ending came out and didn't eat properly either... About that SasuKarin fan: Kishi is to blame for completely ignoring Karin in the last chapters. I do not understand how he could do this to his own fans. There's nothing to excuse this type of writing. And shame on those fans who mocked her, shame on them!

 

Who knows what will happen in those last two pages... I honestly don't see the point in doing so. It wouldn't make me buy the last volume just b/c of that little change.

 

I love Junko! She's a really likable person if you have read interviews and seen videos of conventions with her on youtube! I love how her voice changes so drastically when she's speaking as Naruto. Fans go crazy XD

 

Oh, you started the manga already? I mean if you have started it already I guess you can watch the anime and read the manga at the same time I guess. Kaneki is one of those main characters fans are just feeling for. I don't think I have seen any male character in a manga suffering as much as him before (if you just knew what is lying ahead of him). I didn't like Touka first either, but as I got to Ch.30, she became one of my favorite characters in the series ^_^ She gained my respect for blending into the human world and valuing the relationships with two particular characters (besides Kaneki). She's secretly a Tsundere character from times to times, lol. Oh, I'm looking forward to season 2, a lot.

I hate the picture of Sakura-Sasuke-Salada from JF. I mean I seriously HATE it. 

 

By turning his back, Sasuke is completely disconnected from his family. It's a such a small thing, but it reinforces this continuing storyline of SS: Sakura got what she supposedly wanted, Sasuke could care less. 

 

Marriage has not made him a better, softer person. He has never once shown love for Sakura, and now he's turning his back on his daughter as well, making her look as emotionally repressed as a victorian librarian. I mean look at her! She's pushing back her glasses and giving everyone the evil eye that says "Keep it down in here! This is a library!"

 

As for Sakura, she looks like a combination of Tsunade and Karin. She DOES NOT LOOK LIKE SAKURA. Belly showing? Yeah, Sakura would never do that. They're trying to take away from the character assasination by making her a notch sexier. Gee, thanks.

 

It's not just the lack of clothing that reflects something of her life now — either shinobi or medic or combination of both — it's that her civilian clothes do not reflect the person she is. If she's a sahm now, then she would be wearing something more Sakura-like. Pretty but utilitarian.

 

In every new shot of Sakura, we see them doing everything to minimize her and take away her power and role in the series.  

 

And is it just me or are they illustrating Sakura as much smaller these days? She used to be closer in height to Sasuke and Naruto, but after the end, Sakura is seen as almost a whole foot smaller. It just makes me think she's the little wifey now, not a powerful shinobi or medic.

 

And Hinata supports should be equally disappointed. She's nothing but a housewife now. 

 

But SS, what a mess. If this is meant to be a family portrait, then I want to gag. Sasuke's got his bat cape, Salad's a baby librarian, and Sakura looks like she's three sakes away from popping open her shirt and going the way of Tsunade, for whom power=loneliness.

 

Going by the body positioning, Sakura looks lonely. Salad looks wound tighter than a drum. And Sasuke looks unchanged — which means he still doesn't love her/them. No matter that he's married. No matter that he has a child.

 

Now picture what Sakura and her family would look like if she were with Naruto? Yeah, it hurts to think about, right? They'd all be happy and included, facing each other, and Naruto with his arm around Sakura.

 

You know, each time some new propaganda comes out I think it won't be a big deal, that I'm over the ending, but then I'm mad all over again. They're selling a storyline that they never told in the manga. All to generate future interest/sales in the next story.

 

But here's the thing, there's no guarantee that this will work! What a huge gamble - let me trash my series so I can squeeze out a few more years. Instead of going with something satisfactory and reaping the money and rewards. Then fans would be lining up to read what Kishimoto decided to put out next. But now? He's ruined his work and his credibility. And the next series is not nearly as compelling as Naruto's initial storyline was. So there's no guarantees that Kishimoto will benefit from this huge gamble at the expense of fans and his story. Big creators have gambled with more money and higher stakes...and still failed. Kishimoto has made himself an uphill battle.

I agree. This is not Sakura. Showing off her belly button as an adult?! Hello?! Did Kishi want to increase her sex appeal among the fans or what?! Hinata on the other side seems now like a quiet and reserved housewife (unlike those stupid ninja clothes she had in the Last). I suspect that is what Sakura will look like most of the time throughout Part 3 that will come out in spring... Lol, I sometimes cannot believe that Salada is really Sakura's daughter. Just look at them! They do not look anything alike, neither in appearance nor personality.

Sorry to ruin the fun, but whatever "positive" news about NS from the publisher, the author or the studio is almost certainly to be fake. If anything, it's an attempt for us to "keep eye" on this series, creating yet another buzz for it to be alive and take advantage of us.
 
Let it go folks. Kishimoto doesn't care about NS fandom, neither should we care about his work. Complaining won't redeem anything, and we'll just waste our time.
 
If you like the concept of NS, I suppose it's alright if you want to cling for it as long as it makes you happy. Otherwise, don't put *any* hope or look forward for them or any revision to this story.
 
We haven't heard any single apology or sincere good will to "bid farewell nicely" to NS fandom coming from them. On the contrary, we're mocked, misled, and turned down. Every question about romance and canon pairing were answered by making retcon about why Naruto and Sakura were not good if they are together, to the point it breaks their character's integrity.
 
It will be even worse going forward. We could never see them the same way again. The last two chapters, the movie and the interviews gave us these

- Naruto would rather spent his time flirting with Sakura for this whole time just because he wanted to "win" against Sasuke. It was not a true and selfless love. Those moments they shared: bench scene, Zabusa fight, Chuunin exam, Gaara fight, Tsunade search arc, hospital scene, Promise of a Lifetime, Tenchi bridge, ramen feeding, Pein's arc, the hug, Land of Iron event, the CPR, heck even Road to Ninja and all those are lies and by-product of his rivalry with Sasuke. The worst part? Sasuke doesn't even care about Sakura, so really, nothing to "win" for. In the end he decided to go with someone else, and in the last chapter he was depicted as a father who neglected his son. All this happens after he learned about Minato and Kushina's sacrifice for his life. Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Naruto is...
 
- Sakura asked Sasuke if she could come with him after he "became good" in the last chapter. If that was all she care, she don't have to waste everybody's time to bring Sasuke back. She could just follow him instead and ignore her village who is still rebuilding after the war. Guess what she did all this time? She would rather take advantage of Naruto to bring Sasuke back. Ever since the POAL until the end of the series.  In the new movie, she was depicted as Hinata's love adviser --wherein Pein's arc, knowing that Hinata likes Naruto, she decided to hug him in front of her and everyone in the village. She didn't care that Hinata had just risked her life for Naruto. She would also rather lie in Land of Iron to both Naruto and Sasuke just so she could try to stab him from behind (with utter failure). During the fight with the villain in the war, all she could think was "Sasuke doesn't care", she did some last minute omg-heartwrenching-confession in front of someone who likes her (on his birthday some more). For those who think that she's very "loyal" to Sasuke. Guess what? when Sasuke is not present, she's flirting with Naruto (when they first met in 2nd part, ramen feeding, Tenchi bridge, the hug, Land of Iron confession, etc). If she were "loyal", would she ever think about doing all those? Oh, and speaking about Promise of a Lifetime? It brings no significance whatsoever --Sasuke never knew anything about it, he come back just because he was *defeated* by Naruto and lost his arm. After all those things Sasuke did for her (including leaving her by herself to take care of their child), she still choose him over anything else in this world. Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Sakura is...
 
- Hinata.. well, I'm not sure where to start since she's not that prominent in the past 15 years :) Anyways, where was she when Naruto was all alone and by himself? Did she ever once mentioned that she wanted to help Naruto reach his dream to become hokage? Did she ever believe in Naruto 100%? Remember how she reacted when Kiba fought Naruto? Remember the ointment she gave Naruto and what he did with that afterwards? He did that in front of her, by the way. Did she knew that Naruto likes Sakura, but disregard it nonetheless? Has she ever talked about it with Naruto? Did she really appreciate Naruto for who he is --someone who've lost his parents and grow up alone? Where was she when Sasuke (Naruto's closest friend and teammate) decided to leave the village? At least Neji was there as part of the team to bring him back. Where was she when Naruto was training hard to bring Sasuke back? Did she ever "interact" with Naruto's parents, be it in filler (Road to Ninja) or in canon (Minato edo-tensei)? Is she fine with Naruto ignoring her confession and continue flirting with Sakura? Is she really fine with Naruto joking about Sakura is her girlfriend when his dead father asked (in front of her, after the confession and after Naruto "hold her hand")? I mean, she was almost dead in Pein's arc while confessing to him. Heck, it took Neji's death for them to hold hands. Where was she when Naruto needed help the most and almost die? Run towards him only to be tripped by a rock and fell flat. Worse, rather than hoping Sakura could save him, she prayed to her dead cousin. I thought she and Sakura were BFF (according to new movie)? Even in the end of the series, she was not really depicted as a family member to Naruto. Where's the couple's interaction? She's just... not there for the most of the time... Moreover, if they're a happy couple, what's with the kids' attitude of looking for his parent's attention? Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Hinata is...
 
- Sasuke, well.. he could have saved everyone a lot of time if he just talk about it. In the end, that's what happened right? He just gave up after he come to a common understanding --and lost his arm, not sure if that's a prerequisite for him to bring down his ego. I'm not sure about you guys, but all the precedence and depiction of his ambition is nothing but a joke to me with the ending. Would you sympathize with him? Well, I wouldn't. All I see is a brat who talk big and chickened out after he lost a fight. Even when I tried to search for a deeper meaning in his characters, there's nothing much really. For all the establishment and build up he went through, it ended very sad. What was that statement about being hokage in the last minute about? It's just a big talk without essence coming from an arrogant prick. He didn't become hokage in the end right? Where did his idealism go after Naruto defeated him? He told them he wanted to atone his sins. If so, by doing what exactly? Jumping around the forest? Did he really understand that his village was just destroyed by Pein and is rebuilding from the war. In the end, did he really care about his friends? Did he really care about Sakura for that matter? He poked her forehead, but both of them never knew the significance of it. For Sakura, she might think that it was really Sasuke on that bench scene. For Sasuke, that gesture is what Itachi used to gave him. Was he actively participating in parenting his child? We always get a flashback from him about Itachi and his family, but in the end, he neglected his own child and family? Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Sasuke is...
 

Oh wow, I didn't know I could be very dark also.. ha ha... anyways, it's just for fun. Bottom line: don't waste your time on Kishimoto's plan for NS, whatever it is. They just want your attention and your money.
 
Going forward, this series is not worth your time and attention. Going forward, Naruto fandom for the new era or the new generation-whatever, will be filled with people idolizing the fictional characteristics I've ranted above. I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm sure I won't be part of it.

Tricksie, I am so glad you said this 'cause someone had to say it! Especially considering that Kishimoto-sensei did screw up BIG TIME. And this art of the NH and SS families is a testament to it for sure.

The problem with Kishi's interviews is that they change depending on the general mood. If NS was more popular than NH and SS then I am sure the outcome would be different, after all popularity seems to be key for Kishi. On the other hand Kishimoto gives the impression to be a socially awkward person so we never know, after all Hinata's and Sakura's feelings are supposed to be seen as endearing when in reality they look pathetic, shallow, forced and selfish, Hinata being happy about touching Naruto’s hand when her dead cousin's body is just lying right there or Sakura confessing her feelings and being more focused on the fact Sasuke is still a bad guy than him trying to kill her best friend and her mentor is disgusting and despicable, that’s not love by any stretch of the imagination.
Still they are so many things that contradict each other in this manga for example Kakashi refused to accept Rin's feelings after he admitted he wasn’t going to help save her and Rin seemed to understand yet Sasuke has no shame or guilt to accept Sakura even after all the crap he pulled her trough, it's as if 2 different persons wrote this.

Bottom line trying to make sense of this manga, the characters and their feelings and Kishimoto's tought process is an impossible task because everything contradict each other and the character themselves are unrelatable. Kishimoto clearly doesn’t understand basic human reactions or humans relationship, I know it's fiction but there's a limit to people's suspension of disbelief. Not only is Kishimoto out of touch with reality he is also a mediocre writer his concept of a red herring is unique, you just don't develop your red herring while completely neglecting your canon pairing, shock value isn't and will never be more important than character interactions this is a ridiculous concept and only highlights what an awful writer Kishimoto is, this is basic knowledge for any decent writer something that Kishimoto never was.

Remember the ointment she gave Naruto and what he did with that afterwards? He did that in front of her, by the way. Did she knew that Naruto likes Sakura, but disregard it nonetheless? Has she ever talked about it with Naruto? Did she really appreciate Naruto for who he is --someone who've lost his parents and grow up alone? Where was she when Sasuke (Naruto's closest friend and teammate) decided to leave the village? At least Neji was there as part of the team to bring him back. Where was she when Naruto was training hard to bring Sasuke back? Did she ever "interact" with Naruto's parents, be it in filler (Road to Ninja) or in canon (Minato edo-tensei)? Is she fine with Naruto ignoring her confession and continue flirting with Sakura? Is she really fine with Naruto joking about Sakura is her girlfriend when his dead father asked (in front of her, after the confession and after Naruto "hold her hand")? I mean, she was almost dead in Pein's arc while confessing to him. Heck, it took Neji's death for them to hold hands. Where was she when Naruto needed help the most and almost die? Run towards him only to be tripped by a rock and fell flat. Worse, rather than hoping Sakura could save him, she prayed to her dead cousin. I thought she and Sakura were BFF (according to new movie)? Even in the end of the series, she was not really depicted as a family member to Naruto. Where's the couple's interaction? She's just... not there for the most of the time... Moreover, if they're a happy couple, what's with the kids' attitude of looking for his parent's attention? Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Hinata is...
 
- Sasuke, well.. he could have saved everyone a lot of time if he just talk about it. In the end, that's what happened right? He just gave up after he come to a common understanding --and lost his arm, not sure if that's a prerequisite for him to bring down his ego. I'm not sure about you guys, but all the precedence and depiction of his ambition is nothing but a joke to me with the ending. Would you sympathize with him? Well, I wouldn't. All I see is a brat who talk big and chickened out after he lost a fight. Even when I tried to search for a deeper meaning in his characters, there's nothing much really. For all the establishment and build up he went through, it ended very sad. What was that statement about being hokage in the last minute about? It's just a big talk without essence coming from an arrogant prick. He didn't become hokage in the end right? Where did his idealism go after Naruto defeated him? He told them he wanted to atone his sins. If so, by doing what exactly? Jumping around the forest? Did he really understand that his village was just destroyed by Pein and is rebuilding from the war. In the end, did he really care about his friends? Did he really care about Sakura for that matter? He poked her forehead, but both of them never knew the significance of it. For Sakura, she might think that it was really Sasuke on that bench scene. For Sasuke, that gesture is what Itachi used to gave him. Was he actively participating in parenting his child? We always get a flashback from him about Itachi and his family, but in the end, he neglected his own child and family? Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Sasuke is...

 

Oh wow, I didn't know I could be very dark also.. ha ha... anyways, it's just for fun. Bottom line: don't waste your time on Kishimoto's plan for NS, whatever it is. They just want your attention and your money.
 
Going forward, this series is not worth your time and attention. Going forward, Naruto fandom for the new era or the new generation-whatever, will be filled with people idolizing the fictional characteristics I've ranted above. I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm sure I won't be part of it.

So many amazing posts, Tricksie's post speaks for itself, SS just doesn't work no matter how hard they try.
It's good to see people finally realize how bad Kishi is, I remember before the ending when I was saying how bad of a writer Kishi is, so many people insulted me but with the ending Kishi's credit is over and everyone can see him for the hack he is and always was that’s why I just don't see the point of a new ending, what this manga would need is a rewrite of a large part of it because so many things just don't make sense plotwise, for one remove the child of destiny bias not only was it bad for Naruto’s character but he never lived to its hype, he's no better than those who came before him in fact he's worse in many aspects of course it will never happen but I just want to highlight that the ending is just the tip of the iceberg and there's a point when this manga started going downhill beyond salvation

Sorry to ruin the fun, but whatever "positive" news about NS from the publisher, the author or the studio is almost certainly to be fake. If anything, it's an attempt for us to "keep eye" on this series, creating yet another buzz for it to be alive and take advantage of us.
 
Let it go folks. Kishimoto doesn't care about NS fandom, neither should we care about his work. Complaining won't redeem anything, and we'll just waste our time.
 
If you like the concept of NS, I suppose it's alright if you want to cling for it as long as it makes you happy. Otherwise, don't put *any* hope or look forward for them or any revision to this story.
 
We haven't heard any single apology or sincere good will to "bid farewell nicely" to NS fandom coming from them. On the contrary, we're mocked, misled, and turned down. Every question about romance and canon pairing were answered by making retcon about why Naruto and Sakura were not good if they are together, to the point it breaks their character's integrity.
 
It will be even worse going forward. We could never see them the same way again. The last two chapters, the movie and the interviews gave us these

- Naruto would rather spent his time flirting with Sakura for this whole time just because he wanted to "win" against Sasuke. It was not a true and selfless love. Those moments they shared: bench scene, Zabusa fight, Chuunin exam, Gaara fight, Tsunade search arc, hospital scene, Promise of a Lifetime, Tenchi bridge, ramen feeding, Pein's arc, the hug, Land of Iron event, the CPR, heck even Road to Ninja and all those are lies and by-product of his rivalry with Sasuke. The worst part? Sasuke doesn't even care about Sakura, so really, nothing to "win" for. In the end he decided to go with someone else, and in the last chapter he was depicted as a father who neglected his son. All this happens after he learned about Minato and Kushina's sacrifice for his life. Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Naruto is...
 
- Sakura asked Sasuke if she could come with him after he "became good" in the last chapter. If that was all she care, she don't have to waste everybody's time to bring Sasuke back. She could just follow him instead and ignore her village who is still rebuilding after the war. Guess what she did all this time? She would rather take advantage of Naruto to bring Sasuke back. Ever since the POAL until the end of the series.  In the new movie, she was depicted as Hinata's love adviser --wherein Pein's arc, knowing that Hinata likes Naruto, she decided to hug him in front of her and everyone in the village. She didn't care that Hinata had just risked her life for Naruto. She would also rather lie in Land of Iron to both Naruto and Sasuke just so she could try to stab him from behind (with utter failure). During the fight with the villain in the war, all she could think was "Sasuke doesn't care", she did some last minute omg-heartwrenching-confession in front of someone who likes her (on his birthday some more). For those who think that she's very "loyal" to Sasuke. Guess what? when Sasuke is not present, she's flirting with Naruto (when they first met in 2nd part, ramen feeding, Tenchi bridge, the hug, Land of Iron confession, etc). If she were "loyal", would she ever think about doing all those? Oh, and speaking about Promise of a Lifetime? It brings no significance whatsoever --Sasuke never knew anything about it, he come back just because he was *defeated* by Naruto and lost his arm. After all those things Sasuke did for her (including leaving her by herself to take care of their child), she still choose him over anything else in this world. Let it sink and decide yourself what kind of person Sakura is...

This is so true Naruto’s characters comes across as awful, selfish and self centered people.

Just in case if you were curious, the score is presently standing at 2.84. It seems like your theory about the score stagnating in the 2.8 range is panning out. 

Yeah, it's normal to me. If it was accepting, it would have been in 3.4 and up. Here, well, you got a realistic score. Sure I want it lowered but like they say, there's always fan for anything.
