I'd like for Naruto and Hinata to be good friends in the future, but minus the random romance.

People used to tell me "If Naruto and Sakura got together, where would that leave poor Sasuke?" Like when did Sasuke ever care about romance? But if Naruto and Hinata illogically got together, where in all honesty, would Sakura be? Her whole character would just be so... abused. She revolves around love and care, and for her to disappear in importance would be upsetting. And after everything Naruto went through for her, everything Sakura went through for Naruto... I just can't see an ending with Naruto and Hinata being a pairing ._.

Why do people NOT ship these two? I just don't get it.

Probably cause they hate Sakura. When she's probably the most developed female character in the whole show.

I respect Hinata, but Sakura deserves some too.

Yeah, after I saw the translation of the blurb and article title it was pretty apparent that it was just simply marketing to keep people talking about the movie.

Over-analysis of facial expressions, the "thank you" comment and reliance on part 1 interactions that are not valid due to how Sasuke has changed is why SasuSaku still lives.

As I stated before (maybe on NF idk), there is no "Sasu" in SasuSaku, there never was. SasuSaku has always been a Sakura thing that held her character back. The minute Sasuke rejected her and left the village (which was 600 chapters ago so if it was meant to be endgame why have the confession then). You can't confess twice so 693 didn't really do anything to move SasuSaku forward as the dynamics between them has remained the same since that night (infact it's worsened over time).

Because Sasuke doesn't feel the same way and never has done, it falls on Sakura to kill SasuSaku completely and finally put an end to this madness. Kishimoto needs to salvage whatever character is left of her because 693 was her lowest point ever. Once she kills SasuSaku completely with her own words is when we celebrate. Sasuke's job is done (which is to dismantle ridiculous headcanons), now it falls on Sakura to kill the ship for good.

SasuSaku's chance to develop into something more died in part 1 with that rejection and part 2 saw SasuSaku fade into irrelevancy and that's all there is to it. It lacks mutual development and understanding of each other's feelings and in it's place is character degradation and hostility.

I would hope Kishimoto hates the very concept of SasuSaku because to make that canon after all the kitten that's happened would be a slap in the face to Naruto while leaving him with nothing and just another repeat of the cycle he was meant to break.

Didn't Kishimoto say at one point that Sasuke was an obstacle for Sakura or something along those lines?

I doubt he hates it as he manages to come up with Sasusaku on drugs in part 2. It's called Sasukarin.

If he really hated it, the whole chapter 693 wouldn't even exist. I'm not sure he even realized SS is the very reason Sakura is unpopular amongst Naruto fanboys and that they prefer underdevelopped crap thrown in as an afterthough (NH in part 2) to his intended OTP (Narsak) because of it.

I still think anything is still possible, it may not look good now with the release of that image, but for all we know it's just for promo..........and to get fans riled up, lol

IF Naruto was to have a change of heart, it would had happened in the manga already IMO

Besides, is there any reason to spoil the outcome of who ends up with Naruto in an image meant to be the cover of the soundtrack of the movie?

Agreed, but I've seen already how many NH fans are going nuts and how some NS fans are bummed, so guessing some got riled up as Studio Pierrot wanted lol, may be dumb but it's happening

To me, that IT bit should had been NaruHina's confirmation, but it wasn't, that says a lot, not to mention Naruto's constant worrying of Sakura during the fight Vs. Kaguya and him even mentioning the POAL before going to fight Sasuke

Too bad naruto kinda ruins the pic for me. I don't like to see him near my little Hinata, since it means she's going to attempt suicide. :argh:
