I don't really care either way. It is the way Kishi wants to display the story, it is his choice. My problem is not with Kishimoto, but with the fans who have this mentality to hold sins against one character, but then think it is okay when another character does it too or something worse and even more pathetic.

I blame Kishi for ruining a perfectly good dynamic by stretching something like saving Sasuke to be the entire instead of something that should have been solved in 1 story arc or at the very last end before the Pain arc begin because seriously after everything with Pain...Sasuke just seemed like a whiny brat by comparison.

Yup. It was especially the case after this chapter. The same people who were strong critiques of Naruto's obsession with Sasuke turned a blind eye towards what Sakura did this chapter. They somehow managed to twist it and blamed everything on Naruto instead.

Yeah I didn't really get what made Sasuke's story so unique

 

Especially when most of the characters of the series have been through much worse and actually manage to have a much more positive attitude about it. This is the one occasion where I wish a character would just fade into the background instead of becoming the main focus. I would seriously love it alot more if Naruto actually had a different rival. Goku had multiple differnet rivals as the story progressed (Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta) it got repetitive but it was interesting it felt like the story was actually moving forward instead of relying on one plot point "Sasuke is evil turn him back around"

Well Naruto is allot more matured since that time P1 but he still had that surprised/shocked look on his face from Sakura's speech  so his reaction is interesting in here  especially when mentioning the POAL with such confidence in his eyes  . But this makes me question even more if he took Sakura's plea as her confessing to him or he finally realized that Sakura only loves Sasuke as member of T7 bc it sure doesn't seem like he took it under romantic context  and we know how much he loves Sakura  and how that affects him . 

imo his reaction also  can be taken as if he is hoping that what she said  can effect sasuke somehow and at the same time he doesnt want to see her like this it hurts him .. or he thought she confessed to him . 

 

this point u mentioned  is what  on my mind . if he took it as a romantic way . then he will bring sasuke and hold back . until  sakura  confess to him again . and explain it for him . that she only loves him now. 

 

but if he heard what kakashi said  as it was a family love. then hell bring sasuke and make his confession .. i really dont know which one is it . (kishi )  . but he knows what he is doing .. so what u say ?

I have a question about those panels in the middle. Is Naruto looking at Sakura or Sasuke? Or is it Sakura looking at Naruto who's looking at Sasuke who isn't looking at anyone? Because she actually gets her determination after Naruto's side-glance is shown... It is important, I think. And I don't see any surprise on Naruto's face on the next page (during Sakura's plea). He's sad when she pours her heart out, than angry when Sasuke uses genjustu on her. And there's a frown on his face when he hears Kakashi talk about Sakura's feelings. Not a trace of any deep emotional pain, experienced by a person with a broken heart.

At first i thought it was Naruto looking at Sakura. But when Sakura was talking Naruto was looking forward meaning he was facing her whereas before he was looking at the side at Sasuke.

I think he was. It would explain why he hyperventilated when he finally accepted the crap. He was in complete denial before and stuck in this idea that the Sasuke from part 1 was still around. Does he still keep that scratched headband or did he throw it away by now?

Naruto was more stuck on Sasuke than Sakura was. (up until a certain point in the story.) I am sticking by that.

But then it was followed up with the discussion with Sai talking about Sakura's love....and instead of clearing things up Kishi made it even more confusing. Doesn't help that after everything Sai referred to Sasuke twice as "the one she loves"

sakura kept looking at sasuke . naruto was  looking at her  and worried that this would hurt her .  and it did.    imo she didnt look at naruto .  

 

and naruto is like surprised . not sad when she talked .  but before she talked he was worried of how she would react. .

His heart was broken mostly by Sasuke, I have to say...

IMO, Sakura checked Naruto's expression before speaking to Sasuke. Kakshi collapsed, and Naruto was going to follow Sasuke by the looks of it... that is why she decided to act. I can almost hear Sakura thinking: "I don't want to see them walking away like that... the last thing in my memory being their backs..."

Just read the viz translation (OMG)

I didn't believe the loved/love argument because even if it was loved. the rest of Kakashi speech didn't go as it was a love from the past.

 

But that however wow. That makes more sense to me. How can you change so a context that much. If that Viz translation is accurate, the explosion for this chapter is for nothing lol. I mean except SS just go to the negative zone as a possible pairing. I mean with this, Kakashi confirm what he said in a different chapter, plus Naruto heard from Kakashi that Sakura doesn't want to get romantically involved with Sasuke. Naruto doesn't look like a 2nd prize anymore. Man tell me this is the right translation, I stick with this one if I got a choice.

 

 

Even when I read mangareader, the problem is top-right panel for Kakashi at page 9

The only problem is Sasuke being Sasuke . FIGHT TOMORROW OR MAYBE TONIGHT.

Naruto looking at Sakura/Kakashi , Sakura at Sasuke and Sasuke walking from Naruto  . And yes that is what I meant his first reaction to Sakura's speech and the second frown to Kakashi's speech .  And that was my point his reaction was more of a like he has come to a revelation about something hence the surprised and frown look    which makes me think that he understand this as Sakura only loving Sasuke as T7  nothing more .  I think he would have been heart broken if it was a declaration of romantic love  since he does love Sakura and bc of the issue of finding a girl like his mother which he's troubled with this bc we all know why .

I think he took it in T7 context since that was what Sakura wanted  , but I don't think that he thought that Sakura confessed in here since I do think that it would devastated him  bc he does love her  the POAL is the proof of it . Not to mention how kitten of a move it would be on Kishimoto's part to do this if NS is end game .

 

The thing is if Sakura did confessed in a romantic way in front of him then  I seriously think that Naruto would never accept that Sakura may ever love him  he already was unsure and had low self esteem about this  doing this in front of him it would have increased it by x 10000000000 .  So I'll go with the later option  but it all depends on Naruto's reaction and how he took it .

I don't see any surprise in his expression. There are dots... not interrogation marks. He's thinking something over.

Why are you so sure he was looking at Sakura? I'd say it's 50/50. Those panels were drawn with a purpose to show the emotions... but it is hard to state something concrete. (((

NH had potential.

But Kishi made sure to destroy it all in part 2.

 

Part 2 NH reeks of NTR, which is why I can't understand why people still likes it.

Or he should give up on drama and love triangle and everlasting one-sided love. Maybe it would be more sufferable this way.
