Actually, I don't blame them at all. If you ask me, this is Kishi's fault for overshadowing Sakura's character with Hinata's character. If you honestly look at it from an objective POV, Hinata's character is more appealing than Sakura's when she made her debut. Think about it, she's an underdog, works hard and embraces Naruto's nindo. While on the other hand, in Part I, Sakura is a shallow girl who only thinks of Sasuke. What's more, Hinata likes Naruto in contrast with Naruto who's chasing after a shallow girl looking for popularity. This led to her character outshining Sakura's. So, when Sakura showed support for Naruto, she is still outshined by Hinata, because of her similar personalities with the hero.

Moreover, Sakura's cheering is more of someone cheering for her good friend. It's hard to draw romantic tinges from that. While Hinata's actions has more romantic tinges & makes people sympathize with her. Thus, making her look more appealing.

Now, what if Hinata's character was totally different?? I'd bet you that Sakura cheering Naruto on in the Chuunin exams would be more memorable.

I've wondered about that too. Where is Sakura? It would make sense if Naruto and Sakura were dropped into an AU world and their slots were left open in the AU world for them to fill (and thus be manipulated). But if there's already an AU Naruto, then there would have to be an AU Sakura, right?

So, if Tobi picked the their brains for data, stalking Naruto for sometime as you say, then he would certainly be able to infer that Sakura was very important to Naruto. Even if he got very little data from Sakura about her pov. But from Naruto's pov, Sakura would have played a tremendous role in his life.

Thus if Tobi's worldbuilding from Naruto's information, then he would have to address the issue of Sakura.

However...maybe Sakura is the one person he knows so well that he can't be fooled by an impostor. She's the fly in the ointment. So he just takes her along with Naruto to make things easier.

And if Tobi creates an AU Naruto, then he would be totally remiss to leave out that partnering AU Sakura (RL Sakura being the one person who's so vital to the RL Naruto). And maybe an AU Sakura is like Konan, a cold shell of what she used to be.

because the AU's world only fill the naruto desires(family) not sakura she just got caught in the genjutsu, sakura will have a hard day in this AU's world since she has nothing her parents dead , sasuke a playboy that hits all the womens, the naruto that rebelled against the village she was completely alone.
i think if we got an AU's sakura she would be Evil like the menma's, i agree with the option of fusion with tobi and gets dark hair because he destroy everything that naruto wanted , and there will be some events that will put naruto feeling on a check.

I read the special chapter and it seemed like he, despite having many friends, is still lonely. Naruto still hasn't ever had a family, no wonder he's sad.


Also how far as the story progressed during the film? The leaf village looks exactly like it did at the start of Shippuden. That leads me to believe that this is before the Pain Arc and that Jiriaya is still alive. It also leads me to believe that Naruto is really weak compared to now.

And if this were at the start of shippuden, then why wouldn't Tobi simply take the nine tails right there? He had all 9 akatsuki with him. *facepalm*

Anyways, plot holes disregarded, I hope Naruto has some sort of power boost in this AU that compensates for lack of kyuubi chakra, sage mode, and rasenshuriken.

If the other shippers had actually paid attention to what Kishimoto was actually writing in the manga and not got fooled by Pierrot's less than accurate adaption they would have understood where the story was going. This is why I tell you all to go back and reread the manga from the start. The narusaku ending is obvious from the start if you read with care. I've pointed out how Kishimoto shows even from the start that despite Sakura's fangirling, her focus is actually overwhelmingly directed at Naruto, it's his welfare that she focuses on again and again, not even thinking of Sasuke- way before the Chunnin exams- you see this more than once in the Land of Waves arc...

I don't whether to feel bad for or annoyed with the fans that only watch the anime -- I feel like those are the ones who bash Sakura the most, as Studio Pierrot added quite a few scenes that don't depict her as favorably as others, especially Hinata, thus getting a distorted view of her character. Even still, the anime has never shown Sasuke > Sakura, and only once or twice during the filler arc between parts one and two hinted at Naruto > Hinata (where he was starting at her figure at the waterfall at night, not knowing it was her, and then where he talked about Hinata being a good wife?); other than that, NaruSaku is the pairing they've pushed hard since part 2 started (even a bit during the huge filler arc b/t one and two) -- OPs, EDs, omakes, filler padding, so I still don't know how people think that NH and/or SS is so much more plausible from either medium.

I hope so. This may be a point he's waiting to see what fan response is by letters to Jump considering what he's said about feeling like he waited too late and he was afraid no readers would be interested in minor support characters like that anymore. If you want to assure Kishimoto that readers do want see Sakura's parents in the manga, probably the best place where your message might be passed along to Kishimoto is on weekly Jump's facebook page. They do have a version of it in English here:

The AU world is based on Tobi's superficial understanding of what Naruto wants.

The village was like that in Blood Prison and Naruto had sage mode; plus, they've never downgraded Naruto's abilities from the previous movies. He will at least have sage mode.

Well, if that spoiler turns out to be true, then it doesn't exactly paint Sakura in a very flattering light. That she would eventually become more appreciative of her parents was expected, what with her hugging them at the end, but now it makes her look more like a spoiled brat, especially with that "sasuke-kun would understand me…" comment.

It may very well be fake, but then for all we know, all the spoilers we've been getting up until now might be fake.

It also somewhat depends on what they were arguing about and whether it was Sakura who was out of line or her parents or both.

As for Sakura needed to be "more aware" or "more sensitive" of Naruto's situation obviously needs to reread the manga -- Sakura only had multiple scenes where she flashbacks and thinks about how she was originally wrong about her initial perception of Naruto -- twice in the chunin exams and then more similar scenes after Sasuke tells her Naruto was the one who saved her from Gaara, when Naruto makes her the POAL, and during their discussion at the hospital after VOTE. Hell, part two is chalk full of Sakura coming to understand Naruto better; Sakura literally asks him once, "Naruto, you've been through a lot haven't you?"

I think that commenter was replying to what other people have assumed, ie that Sakura has become more empathetic towards Naruto being an orphan. Remember, she mentioned having parents were a pain near the beginning of the manga. This also probably has to do with how Kishimoto said he didn't realise how awful it is to have no parents until he had a kid.

One of the few things that makes me wonder about that summary is that we've had from official publicity that the scene with Naruto and Iruka at Ichiraku's begins the movie, not ends it.

It may be a hook ending.

On another point people are pondering though I have a guess- people are wondering why there's no AU Sakura with a different name, etc...like Naruto has. I think it was because Tobi Madara only had moments to grab a few points from Sakura's brain, while he's been stalking Naruto for quite some time, and Naruto even had a couple of brief skirmishes with him. Tobi Madara probably hadn't really paid that much attention to Sakura before the attack at the Konoha playground near the beginning of the movie. The points he gets aren't effective the way he thought they'd be, because I'm sure he underestimated Sakura's intense bond to Naruto, and didn't get the fact that Sai told Naruto- everything Sakura does is for Naruto's sake. Naruto is Sakura's #1 priority, her wants and needs are way, way down on her personal list.

I think AU Sakura was mentioned as a hero in a summary from a voice actor interview. She may be dead in the AU. From the looks of it, the genjutsu world is mainly based on Naruto's desires, Sakura was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Whole movie. Note that "preview" is also another way of saying "advanced screening," unless a time length is stated.

The Obito/ Shisui thing was from Kishimoto's notes on the storyboard. Perhaps he wrote it there just to throw people off. Takl didn't call the spoilers "hearsay," his username is "Hearsay."

The main thing that sticks out from the "Hearsay" spoiler is Sakura saying that Sasuke would understand her hate for her parents. What? Sasuke loved his parents.

Where can I find this "2ch," so I can keep myself up-to-date. Is it confirmed or not? And weren't her parents dead and not away? And what happens to Akatsuki battle? The first one, not AU. And where did you hear that both parents died before the final battle?
