I always thought SasuSaku was the type of pairing that's obviously not happening...
I'm on a fence about NaruHina, but it isn't looking too good for it either.

Because they thought this is a shoujo manga.I've never got the impression that he was interested in Sakura that way. I wonder what made people believe otherwise.

Over-analysis of facial expressions, the "thank you" comment and reliance on part 1 interactions that are not valid due to how Sasuke has changed is why SasuSaku still lives.
As I stated before (maybe on NF idk), there is no "Sasu" in SasuSaku, there never was. SasuSaku has always been a Sakura thing that held her character back. The minute Sasuke rejected her and left the village (which was 600 chapters ago so if it was meant to be endgame why have the confession then). You can't confess twice so 693 didn't really do anything to move SasuSaku forward as the dynamics between them has remained the same since that night (infact it's worsened over time).
Because Sasuke doesn't feel the same way and never has done, it falls on Sakura to kill SasuSaku completely and finally put an end to this madness. Kishimoto needs to salvage whatever character is left of her because 693 was her lowest point ever. Once she kills SasuSaku completely with her own words is when we celebrate. Sasuke's job is done (which is to dismantle ridiculous headcanons), now it falls on Sakura to kill the ship for good.
SasuSaku's chance to develop into something more died in part 1 with that rejection and part 2 saw SasuSaku fade into irrelevancy and that's all there is to it. It lacks mutual development and understanding of each other's feelings and in it's place is character degradation and hostility.
I would hope Kishimoto hates the very concept of SasuSaku because to make that canon after all the kitten that's happened would be a slap in the face to Naruto while leaving him with nothing and just another repeat of the cycle he was meant to break.
Didn't Kishimoto say at one point that Sasuke was an obstacle for Sakura or something along those lines?

Sasuke is as romantic as asphalt. Only little girls believe that asphalt can suddenly turn into a bed of roses.

This is a resolution arc. But I think not all thing get resolution.
War arc itself take 4 year, I think people getting tired because of it.
The manga doesn't use the same battle system like onepiece.
He/she meant the pairing war.
Yes that shipping war, let's ignore it and read some fanfic, see some Lady's fan art , hear some James post cast.

No, Sasuke is as romantic as a JP Velocirpator. only Very VERY small children actually think murderous creatures can turn good jusr because the story is making a turn for the worst.

I don't have any problem if that asphalt show some romantic tendency, which he is not.Sasuke is as romantic as asphalt. Only little girls believe that asphalt can suddenly turn into a bed of roses.

Even then Sasuke dismissed Sakura most of the time, but I guess it would have been possible in Part I. It's safe to say that up until maybe the Sasuke rescue during the Kaguya fight there is zero possible romantic interaction with them.
SasuSaku didn't really cross my mind as a thing until I went on the internet.

@naninaruto
The only possibility of ss in part is in the chunin exam arc.
Oh I believe in chunin exam arc is where most people bought the idea that nh & ss are canon pairing.
Yeah Part I probably introduced it, and people have been clinging on ever since.
They had moments in Part 1 that really made me think it would/could happen, because at the time, I knew nothing of NaruSaku since SasuSaku and NaruHina were the only ones that came up for ships that were possible.
Really? I've been NS since Episode 2. I thought Naruto was a fun character and have been cheering him on on getting the girl ever since the classroom scene where we are first told of his crush. Yeah, Sakura didn't reciprocate it but I knew the ship would flourish. And look where we are now on the road to Canon

I wonder how long its going to take for NH and SS to throw in the towel? because I recently got a comment from an anti-fan who STILL thinks NS is dead
Same here there's this NH fan who said NS is dead and he said NaruSaku won't happen.

Yeah, they seemed more possible in part one. And NS didn't the same appeal back then. (Though I began shipping it in part one, without having been influenced by fans or fandom talk.)

SasuSaku was barely hanging by a thread in act 1. and then when Sasuke left the pairing died altogether. NaruSaku on the other hand had a pretty weak start, but over time it grew stronger and stronger, right up to the point where it became invincible (where it is now ofcorse). This is the first pairing war I have ever been in and from the looks of it I'm going to win it with every one here who still believes in the ship.
As I said before, NS might as well be considered canon since there are no other rivals for it left to oppose it. We can technically say we won, I'm not going to say it out in public yet (and when I say public I mean the Naruto Wiki and all the other zealous NH sites and any NH/SS fan I meet) because I want to wait for chapter 700. After all its never REALLY over until its over.

Though, I really began to like the ship a ways in to part one when I realized that Sakura was just like Naruto. They're both energetic and both fighting for the love of someone else. Sakura secretly loved Naruto's prank on Kakashi!

I don't think chapt 700 will be made

Lol, yeah. I knew about Naruto's crush on Sakura during part 1, but I saw it as more of comic relief thing that he would end up growing out of since she didn't feel the same way for him. The only reason I really shipped SasuSaku back there was pretty much because Sakura was my favorite character, so since she liked Sasuke, I wanted her to get with the guy that she wanted. What Part II needed was balance. You just can't disregard 90% of your cast because, as we all know, it's hard making a story enjoyable to read with just two characters. That's why it's called the "supporting" cast, cause sometimes your main protagonist can't always be in the center of the spotlight, and other characters pick up the slack for him/her. Both Naruto and Bleach suffer from this but in two completely different ways. To some people, the character of Naruto has become rather dull and boring precisely because his presence has been overused, but when the plot shifts focus to lesser characters, like Shikamaru in the Hidan & Kakazu arc, it comes off as a breath of fresh air. But that's the problem. It shouldn't feel like a breath of fresh, it should feel natural to see a supporting character get at least some development.
In Bleach, it's the opposite. Many people find the story enjoyable only when the main character: Ichigo, is in the spotlight because when he isn't, it's supporting cast isn't strong enough to keep the readers interest. They just aren't entertaining. It's all about balance.

Same here I used to ship SS and too and to be honest I was just like Sasuke I rejected the girl who loves me and I was rude/cold hearted to her
