Heh, so Kishimoto didn't say a single thing about Sakura loving Sasuke. Stupid idiots twisting his words; disgusting. Ah, well, would have been proven false anyway seeing as Sakura confessed to Naruto and the tried to kill her... twice. I don't understand how people can support these one-sided, fake relationships. Truly sad.

Except that's not what Kishimoto said, that's the version from a naruhina shipper's (who it turns out wasn't even there) mistranslated version (easy to spot because they messed up on the grammar a lot, making it a muddled mess to follow, everything is attributed to have been said by Kishimoto both questions and answers, things that Kishimoto didn't say are inserted, etc...). What he said in the corrected one about Sakura's feelings about (done by a sasunaru shipper that was there- yeah a sasunaru shipper who even said they didn't particularly care for Sakura, but was disgusted by the fake distorted version that had been circulating ) was:

"Sakura....Sasuke." no really, no loves, he said nothing for certain on what feelings Sakura might have about Sasuke.(implying exactly what happens in the manga- there's still stuff she has to sort through about Sasuke before she can fully get over him). Naruto was the only one Kishimoto did use a couple of words to reference Sakura's feelings for. And close when you are referencing feelings means having deeply romantic feelings for, it implies romantic intimacy.

Really? huh.gif I got confused in that thread; it's frustrating when you never know what you can trust these days on the internet, especially in regards to something as touchy as pairings.

But thanks for clarifying that happy.gif

@ciardha - I'm not all that surprised that it came from a SasuNaru shipper. I suppose you can trust (for the most part) a neutral fan to just call it as it is, and not mess around with the translation in order to alter it's meaning or interpretation. This person isn't a fan of any of the 'Big-3', so the chances of bias getting in the way are minimal(?) at best.

U know what would be sweet, in terms of Narusaku....If Madara kidnaps Sakura and in return for her life, Naruto would have to give himself/the kyuubi to Madara. Their would be a lot of screaming and "don't do it Naruto" kind of stuff from Sakura and when he does do it their would be an epic "NARUTOOOOOOOO"....It would also mean Naruto would put not only himself, but the WORLD at risk for Sakura. th_glomp.gif narusakuct7.gif

one thing of worry though, couldn't the look sakura made be one that says she is saddened by what sasuke has become rather than her having an inner conflict? unsure.gif

Maybe the image of Sasuke was the evil dark one not the image of a thirteen year old from team seven.

Yes that would make sense, because they're in a war that the bastard has partly caused and that Sakura and Naruto want to do whatever they can to save Sasuke well probably only Naruto, Sakura is feeling conflict but she knows the first chance she's got to kill the bastard, she'll take it, imo.

It seems to be the consensus that she has separate feelings for each of them and their own way. And maybe she realizes that she has to get over sasuke not cause he's a criminal but because she just doesnt love him.

And if she is in love with two people, she should pick the person she fell in love with second (Naruto), becuase if she loved the first (sasuke) then shw wouldn't have fell in love with a second person (Naruto)

Some one brought up on another site, that their is a another parallel going on in the story....Part 1 Naruto realizes Sakura is in love with sasuke (if u really wanna call it love) and in Part 2 Sakura realizes hinata is in love with Naruto. th_glomp.gif

I think she does love Naruto, the confession confirmed this. The only part she was lying about was that she said she didn't care for Sasuke anymore at all. While she still needs to have her feelings for Sasuke to be resolved, I do believe that she does love Naruto romantically in some way, shape or form already.

Yeah, Sakura's always gonna see Sasuke the same, not really any different from how other people [i.e Kakashi & Naruto] I don't think they're romantic, I mean she is a pretty sane person, but caring and seeing him as a comrade, part of Team 7.

I was just wondering if Naruto still keep his Promise of a Lifetime to Sakura? I re-read chapter 470, on page 4, Naruto specifically said to Sakura: 'It doesnt have anything to do with my promise to you', when he determined to save Sasuke.

Could someone please enlighten me on this? I just feel that it is so not like Naruto to give up easily. If that's the case, then the promise shouldnt be called Promise of a Lifetime anymore sad.gif so many tears, sweat and blood is wasted for it in the manga...

I'm sorry if this has been discussed previously. Thanks in advance.

"What? What are you saying?"

"It's okay, this is what I came here to do. I can save today, but you... you can save the world."

I understand. This little facet of the confession has never set well with me either.

Naruto says "This isn't about that promise," and "It doesn't have anything to do with my promise to you."

So it would seem that even before Sakura confronted Naruto, the promise had diminished in importance for him — that he was going to save Sasuke for his own reasons now. He just had never mentioned that the promise took a back seat in his reasoning when he learned the truth about Sasuke. If this is the case then it kind of sucks for Sakura, who had Sai laying a guilt trip on her for burdening Naruto.

He says it so easily and decisively. No nice speeches to never give up, no cheering Sakura on not to lose faith in him. Just a quick, direct, "Oh yeah, that promise? I'm over that."

Such a big deal is made about him never going back on his word. But he just did, without blinking an eye.

Shoot me, but his behavior in the confession has always seemed OOC to me. He told Sakura he "hates people who lie to themselves." What? Where the hell did that come from? When does Naruto hate anyone, and when has he had some negative experience with someone lying to themselves? It doesn't relate to any relationship he's been shown to have in the manga. (And if someone can correlate it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.)

She says the nicest, most openly supportive things that have ever been said to him in the whole of the manga, and he comes back with a "hate" statement. He says nothing about her, or her feelings or how he believes in her or how she feels about Sasuke. Just that he doesn't accept what she's saying. And the reader is left to color that as he or she chooses.

If I were Sakura I'd have smashed his foot instead of Kiba's.

*ahem* didn't realize I had such a strong opinion of the confession until now.... sweatdrop.gif

what are you the talking about? dry.gif the promise was incredibly important to him he said before he was partly doing it for his love for her. they had a heated fight during the Confession, Sakura wanted him to give up. Naruto refused and decided to save Sasuke on his own.
