I think Kishi is playing too safe by repeating the story again, which even include what's a ninja. That's obviously reserved for Sasuke to teach her that.
Other than that, these new gen characters so far reserved for the fathers to teach them a lesson or them coming up with a lesson. I don't see much of appeal if I don't get anything coming from themselves. That's like a subplot not a plot, but that's how Kishi rolls. That's why I can't get behind the characters, especially Boruto, who's already a carbon copy.
I know I know. It's pretty much what I said in December the mini-series/spin-off is sort of a reboot of the original story just told differently. They are taking elements that they believed people loved and reusing them, hoping people will continue to support them.
Hoping the nostalgia factor kicks in and takes over logic.
