I shipped it back in part one with LeeSaku.

It had potential.

It all went down the gutter when Kishi decided to only focus on Narusasu and destiny and forget all about his side cast, as well as not giving Sakura and Kakashi enough focus.

But it's less cruel of Kishi to not have developped it into something that could have rivaled NS just to shot it down at the end. the fandom is already delusional enough, their upcoming big disapointment would be even worse.

i agree with the above, but kakashi had the third best treatment after naruto and sasuke, and that's saying something. hell, he even got his own side story called kakashi gaiden. 

 

but yes, kishi's treatment of his characters outside of naruto and sasuke is just poor.

sure. but it was actually pretty good in part 1 with the written chunin exams, the fight against neji, and her encouragement speech she gave to naruto before he faced brotha neji. in part 2 it's as if she never existed, and on top of that kishi completely destroyed her character by turning her into pairing fodder. it's truly a shame what he did to her and he's the reason why i can't stand hinata.

I never loved her but I had respect for her in part 1.Then part 2 began and I hate her.

NH....leaving apart the development stuff and all...do we fail to realise that they are just not compatible with each other? I mean their personalities just don't mesh like it happens with Naruto and Sakura. It is something like two broken pieces. Put them together and they become whole again. Naruto's flaws are covered up by Sakura and Sakura's flaws are covered up by Naruto. They have their backs covered. No wonder they share a wonderful chemistry. They complete each other.

Whereas in Hinata's case, I cannot put things this way. Naruto is way too reckless and jumps into taking decisions without thinking about its consequences at times. Both of these flaws are perfectly covered up by Sakura. She has that thing to keep him from deviating and keeping him focus. I just can't see Hinata managing to do that. Sakura has some heavy self confidance and image issues. Something which Naruto has in plenty. He infuses that thing in her when, when her issues take over her conscience. There are plenty of examples like that. I mean just look at them....they just...belong...with each other. A perfect couple! Soulmates!

nah, nh died when part 2 started. kishi could have gradually increased what little interaction they had in part 1, but he didn't. kishi made her irrelevant along with other characters he created.

Yeah, I agree. The start of part 2 was hugely significant for NS. Who can forget Sakura blushing because she found Naruto attractive? That was the perfect start  and the NS development that followed was nothing short of brilliant and also there was absolutely nothing positive for either NH or SS. The beginning chapters of part 2 for me made it crystal clear about Kishi's choice of pairings. 

 

Then we got the Hug, the MinaKushi parallel in 631, 663  and so many other positive moments along with the beautiful ever increasing NS chemistry. Kishi's choice of pairing couldn't be more obvious really but for some reason some of us forget all this and worry unnecessarily. Come on everyone, be positive. Have faith because the story is on our side

People (generally) tend to care more about the troublesome kind. If only Kishimoto had given us a short Sakura-centered arc. Her fight with Sasori wasn't enough.

NH is as much a threat as an apple is a vegetable. you can't be in danger of something that never existed in the first place. SS on the other hand was some what of a nuisance, even after it died in act 1. SS fans kept on bantering on and on and still are right now. Well once we see the last 3 chapters we will see who will have the last laugh.

SS is a complete nuisance, not just somewhat. It's not going to happen, but it sure damaged NS's appeal.
