You're definitely not alone.  I have never wavered from being totally positive about NS.  There are a number of us around here -- and I know exactly who they are -- who have never wavered, never feared, and stood strong and positive even when others wanted to burn us at the stake for our "arrogance" and "delusions" after #615.

 

They will have to pry the NS manifesto from my cold, dead hands.  

 

If Kishimoto does something to sabotage his own work, then that's on him.  All I would be able to do at that point is admit I was wrong about him.

 

Amen to that! I don't post as much as I used to but my faith for Naru/Saku never wavered, even with the chapter 615 ( was more pissed at the OCCness of Naruto more then NH moment TBH). Like you said, I know a couple of member here that are still firm believers, even if at this point of the manga there are not as apparent as they used to.

 

I keep saying this and will continue to say it until the very last chapters ( and also the movie), let's be patient and let us wait, we don't have much left but we still can have Naruto and Sakura together.

Everybody reads stories differently so I get why people were angered by 693. I myself was glad when that chapter finally came out because like I've said before, I saw that as Sakura finally unburdening herself of those long time feelings she had held on to for Sasuke. She had just never had the chance or time to say those things to him one more time until that moment. For her character to move forward she needed to say those words or she would've held on to those feelings forever. Sakura needed that just as much for herself as for trying to reach out to Sasuke. She'll be shown as being able to see things more clearly now that her feelings for Sasuke won't be there to cloud up her feelings for Naruto. We all wanted that moment where we were shown how she got over Sasuke. Well 693 gave us that moment, but I can see how some may have missed it.

LOI arc. She's not going to stop loving him, this emotional outbreak was just a desperate attempt at getting him to stay and cooperate.

In LOI she went there to try to kill him. She didn't get that last confession off her chest. And at the of end of it she was shown still holding on to hope for him and Team 7. See, we saw it two different ways. I don't mind a discussion, I just don't appreciate sarcasm from somebody that doesn't know me personally. You show me respect and I'll give it back to you.

I can't entirely blame some people for being negative. I know 693 is ridiculously debatable and since this series is so close to ending without any other 'pairing' moments since then, I can see why some people are panicking. Sakura saying 'I love you', no matter which way she meant it, will keep us on edge until we have a definite conclusion of what she meant by it.

 

I admit I don't have as much as faith in Kishimoto writing a good NS endgame as much as I used to, but I'm still positive on NaruSaku being the canon pairing. When I get doubtful, I remember things such as how SS is constantly portrayed negatively, all the failed parallels NS has that foreshadow and/or directly foreshadows it (MK), Naruto's consistency in loving Sakura, all the NS development, and I realize how ridiculous it would be for NH or SS to ever become canon.

 

Really. If there is anything I'm sure of, is that SS or NH have nothing going for them in comparison to NaruSaku. Sasuke is emotionally challenged and it's a hard enough time for him to even care about friends, let alone romance. Naruto's treatment of Hinata is so platonic it's painful to even look at. And Sakura is the only person that show signs of changing feelings. We can't let chapters like 693 overshadow all NS's proof when we don't even have the whole story yet.

 

I guess if your problem is faith in Kishimoto's writing for NS not happening then I can't really help you. But there is no doubt NaruSaku is still the most logical pairing and the most likely to be canon. I still trust that and trust Kishimoto will do it.

According to me,

chapter 693 was an attempt by Kishi too show that Sakura's feelings aren't shallow but unconditional and Sasuke is too bad for her

then what was this statement

if Sakura moved on then.according to kishi it must be
"This will make her character shallower than Hinata ...."

the reason what Kishi did in 693 was that he wanted to portray an honest lady who loved someone very deeply....But that guy was stupid enough to break her down

She made a genuine attempt to stop him but the chidori genjutsu kinda symbolised how he breaks her heart



but this chapter had lot of misinterpretations as ppl dun really understand "unconditional love" since, very less ppl go through it......


such ppl are generally hated but no one sees the purity in their feelings

I really was trying to be positive by describing a possible theory for Sakura's process of getting over her romantic feelings for sasuke and then things just took a turn for the worst. Oh well, sorry.
