By the way... I've already posted it in another thread, but here's an acrticle about how modern Japanese people express and understand love.

 

The article about love expressions

About japanese confessions in general (read it, it's funny... and complicated). Accroding to this, dating without a prior confession isn't considered dating. Any serious relationship begins after one makes his confession and the other accepts it. So... a confession in Naruto's case is probably a necessity.

 

The key moments

"Koi" is a love for the opposite sex, or a feeling of longing for a specific person. It can be described as "romantic love" or "passionate love." While "ai" has the same meaning as "koi," it also has a definition of a general feeling of love. "Koi" can be selfish, but "ai" is a real love. Here are some lines that explain them well:　Koi is always wanting. Ai is always giving.

"Renai （恋愛）" is written with the kanji characters of both "koi" and "ai." This word means, "romantic love." "Renai-kekkon （恋愛結婚）" is a "love marriage," which is the opposite of "miai-kekkon (見合い結婚, arranged marriage)." "Renai-shousetsu （恋愛小説）" is "a love story" or "a romance novel." Kakashi had set off "renai" against "ai" in his speech. So... according to him, Sakura doesn't want Sasuke for herself, but she wants to give something to him. And that is why she is sad, because she can't give him anything. So... "koi" is no more. While "ai" is an impossibility at the moment, but it may become possible when Sasuke decides to restore his bonds with Team 7. And these bonds are not romantic in nature.

It's not black-and-white. Kakashi did say Sakura's not aiming to be with Sasuke and that's true. I don't think her goal is to be with him anymore. All she cares about more than anything is saving him. I always thought she gave up on being with him a while ago. But reasons like these are reasons that 'you can love someone and not be trying to be with them"

 

"I need someone better for me"

 

"I don't want to get hurt by you again"

 

"A relationship will never work out"

 

"You will never return my feelings"

 

Reasons like these are justifications for Sakura to not want to be with Sasuke despite loving him (if she indeed does). It's ruled by logic or trust issues. This has happened a lot in fictional cases and in real life. That's why I don't think you can just conclude not wanting to be with him = doesn't love him. It can be more complicated.

The fight can't take too long otherwise world will become Zetsupocalypse. If Sasuke is gonna kill Naruto, he needs to do it quick then break IT. If Naruto is gonna "save" Sasuke, then he has to talk him down quick or trick him into releasing IT during fight. Sasuke can break IT without Naruto. Naruto can't break IT without Sasuke.

The whole discussion carried on about family love from Hagoromo and Kakashi. The fact that Kakashi went out of his way to correct him when Sasuke assumed is romantic is what leads me to believe she loves him like a family member.

Oh, that's fine. I semi-agree with you.  I just think when Sakura said 'Daisuki' she meant it romantically. Daisuki is usually used romantically ... that's what Hinata used and that's what Sakura did in her first confession.  I think it's weird that Sakura chose to say 'I love you' for any other reason other than romantic, but it is debatable.

 

All Kakashi implied was that it most likely is family love, but Sakura probably doesn't know that. I'm too cautious to say she meant it platonically ... there's a possibility, but I need more prove she really thinks she feels that way.

Ideally it should be two volume. One volume is too fast, three or more are too long.

That's not entirely accurate. The way I see it....unless...the one in control of the tree or whatever that thing is called, doesn't absorbs chakra...the people will just be affected by IT and won't turn into zetsus. I mean if there's a tap of water which gives water any damn time......there has to be a consumer of water on the other side, right? If the consumer is absent then either the water overflows OR the tap simply remains closed. If the chakra absorption stops, people will just be in the genjutsu and won't undergo transformation. That's just my take on things...

I have a feeling next chapter I don't think the fight between Naruto vs Sasuke will be that long

Last fight was 16 chapters 6 of which were flashbacks.This one is obviously longer because itt carries more history and baggage although it is extending beyond the movie in such a case

Last fight was 16 chapters 6 of which were flashbacks.This one is obviously longer because itt carries more history and baggage although it is extending beyond the movie in such a case

 

We have at most 6-7 chapters left, it wont be that long. Even with the history it's getting closer to the end much closer.
