If Sakura selflessly loved Sasuke she would just go along with whatever he wanted to do so long as he was happy. She wouldn't be trying to stop him and change his mind. Same goes for Naruto towards Sasuke. They love him unconditionally. They don't agree with what he's doing and fight against his ideals but they'll never give up on him.

 

The difference with Naruto is that he can actually relate to Sasuke in a way, and actually get to him (because he uses friendship). Sakura's love for Sasuke though... is really pointless, because it doesn't affect anything.

 

Maybe SasuSaku fans ship SasuSaku because they refuse to believe Sasuke is completely unnaffected by Sakura's love? I agree that Sakura's comradeship affects him, in the way that friendship affects him, however Sakura's love for Sasuke never once affected Sasuke. That's probably where SS fans go wrong.

 

On topic though, I believe Sakura's love for Sasuke is unconditional romantic love. While her love for Naruto is selfless love, and has the potential to be romantic (as hinted at many times).

The problem is that Kishi's the only one who knows whether her love for Sasuke is still romantic or simply unconditional. Right now we're just speculating. But for the story to end making any kind of sense for NS that love needs to solely be unconditional.

yeah but if you loved someone selflessly would you let them make choices that could ultimately lead to their death? Or that could put them in jail? No. When you love selflessly you love them for life but you do anything to keep them safe and happy as well. If you just let them do anything that you know isn't good for them, do you love them as much as you claim? Selfless means the complete opposite of selfish not careless and blind. If you're blind to it, then it's obvious you're obsessed.

How can it be romantic if she doesn't want to be with him in that way? I'm pretty sure with Kakashi's words and what she said herself she doesn't want that. Romantic feelings implies that Sakura wants to be his girlfriend/wife/lover. Unless I'm missing something, Sakura doesn't have romantic feelings for Sasuke.

 

Her romantic feelings are weak, because they are not selfless. That's why they've toned down to a point where she views him as he is, rather than an image that she created in her head. She's aware of how he is now, and doesn't have intentions of being with him as a girlfriend anymore. However she still holds devotion for him, because it would be out of character for Sakura to just drop him as if he meant nothing in her life. Yeah... that seems like the right word. Devotion. It's not even unconditional anymore, because she constantly questions her feelings for Sasuke (like I said, weak). Unconditionally romantic is what we'd call it before, but now it's just sort of her duty to love him. Despite his flaws, she wants Sasuke to be saved from the darkness so that she doesn't have to feel pain for him.

 

Quoting from Kishi - she loves him so much that it hurts. That kind of love isn't romantic and neither is it unconditional. It's a mess - especially when Sasuke never feels or intends to feel anything back. Which leads me back to feeling like Kishi hates Sakura...

The way I see it is not so complicated.

 

Sakura loves Sasuke, but it became a platonic sentiment. The problem is that she doesn't realize that yet, but Kakashi already did, hence 675 and 693.

 

Sakura will always love Sasuke no matter what since he's part of her precious Team 7, and right now loving him hurts her since Sasuke keeps choosing darkness over them.

 

I say we're going to see "The Gutsy Ninja" plot twist. Kakashi will tell Sakura to close her eyes and then Sakura will realize that Naruto is what makes her the most happy.

Because she loves him romantically but now is aware he won't ever love her like that ? So she gave up on thinking he would someday marry her.

 

My God, it's so retarded.   But typically the kind of crap Kishi no-one-ever-give-up-on-their-onesided-kindergarten-crush could come up with.

 

At this point I just want to see at least someone move on, even if it's Naruto...   But preferably, Sakura or even Ino, Karin and Hinata.

I am really big Sasuke's fan, he's my favorite character from Naruto, I like Sasuke more than I like Naruto. And honestly as a Sasuke fan, I don't see him loving anyone romantically, I don't ship him with anyone. He really cared for Sakura and Naruto, he almost gave up his revenge to save Naruto, deep inside Sasuke is a good person. But he can't cast away his family, he doesn't move on, which makes him full of anger, he couldn't protect his family and that made him always want to be strongest, but when he sees that Naruto is better at something he gets jealous, he has inferiority complex. He wants to get rid of Naruto because then he will feel the strongest, but it is something that Sasuke would regret in the end, because all Sasuke needs is family that can fill his heart and that family would be team 7. I don't even think that he's going to end up with Karin honestly, most NS ship them I don't. In part 1 you can notice that Sasuke knows Sakura and Naruto really well, when there was a fake Naruto he immediatly noticed and when Sakura was feeling insecure he also immediatly noticed and cheered her up, when he was with team 7 he was becoming more warm and caring, he was forgetting revenge, but something kept on happening that made lose the right way. Naruto will definitely say something to Sasuke that will remind him of who he is.:)

Haha, Sasuke looks good with anyone lol. I don't mind Sasuke pairings, I like him with Sakura, with Karin, with Ino, with Mei lol xD Sasuke x harem :3 But when it comes to manga it would just feel so OOC.

sasukarin is not happening simply because sasuke doesn't have romantic feelings for anyone. there's really no way to make sense of it if you're factoring in sasuke.
