Idk how whoever he's talking about interpreted it, but to me, the chapter showed that Hinata's dream of being with Naruto is pretty much as possible everyone else's dreams (like Gaara's of having his family together, Ino of Sasuke and Sai fighting over her, etc.); i.e., impossible.

Though they won't. All of them were impossible, a huge lie like Naruto said. Dan is Hokage/with Tsunade and Nawaki alive, Sai & Sasuke fighting over Ino, Kiba becoming Hokage, Shino finding a rare mega-bug species, Lee and Gai acting calm and cool, Shikamaru not being married because it's troublesome (Temari agreed hehe), Choji finding a woman who loves men who eat so much, Naruto and Hinata together, Mizukage getting married, Gaara having a good childhood/parents alive... it's all never going to happen. Harsh but true. It's gonna be a little heartbreaking when they wake up an realize it was all fake.

 

Yeah, this is pretty much what I said when the chapter came out.  All of the dreams are probably impossible, but some of them are for sure.

 

Some of the dreams included people who are dead, or circumstances that cannot happen, or both.  Tsunade's and Gaara's dreams are great examples.

 

Hinata's dream falls into the same category. Even if it was technically possible by assuming that Naruto's feelings could change and he would no longer love Sakura, Kishimoto made a point of including Neji in the panel -- signifying that the content of the dream was impossible.  If Neji had been left out, there might have been more hope for NH.

 

And yeah, poor Shikamaru, lol.  Looks like he's going to get married anyway, despite how troublesome it might be.  $20 says Temari had a similar dream....

No, with Shikamaru, because the dream will not happen the way he dreamt it, that means he WILL get married regardless of how much of a hassle he thinks it is, and might very well marry Temari because she was the one he dreamt of NOT marrying.  

 

If it happens that way, he's going to be so whipped, lol.

Right... that's why I guess the movie will give us a proper pairing development. I really wish, but don't think Naruto will confess anyone or even make it clear that a pairing is canon, specially because it would spoil the movie a lot... and that sucks because I want NS in the manga

Depends on how the ninja system is changed, assuming it is, by Naruto and Sasuke's resolution.  If there is a new peace among the countries, it may no longer be necessary to maintain a full complement of ninja for each village.  

 

I mean, are we really supposed to believe that after all this, everything will go back to the way it was and each village has to spy on and compete with the others?

 

I imagine that if Temari wanted to marry Shikamaru, Gaara would not stop her or force her to remain in Suna.

Yes, many readers do prefer more adult romance.  Sadly for them Naruto is a bad place to look for that.  Romantic hints are hidden between hundreds of chapters at times and are intensely subtle.  SS and NH are something more direct and less ambiguous.  It is quite clear how Sakura feels(or felt) about Sasuke, and how Hinata feels about Naruto.  
 
During my time at Narutoforums and debating there literally it came down to people's taste.  They preferred the more direct shojo style of things, with the female characters chasing the male character in terms of romance.

I can actually understand why so many people don't like NS. As it is a rollercoaster with many good moments which we like to focus on here, but also many craptastic ones. On the top of my head : The PoaL, really great from Naruto's part, but still Sakura asking the boy who is in love whith her to bring back Sasuke was selfish and cruel, the LoI, even if good intentioned, Sakura still lied to Naruto and tried to use his feelings for her to manipulate him (she also betrayed Sai and Kiba in the process:ermm: ), and that recent chapter where she thought it would be a good idea to confess once more to Sasuke (as if it could make Sasuke changes his mind when it already failed once ) and do so right in front of Naruto (I know Kakashi's sentences mitigated it a little bit, but it's still looked like a confession enough to fool Sasuke).Also notice all the crapatastic moments comes from Sakura, which may explain the hate.the poor girl get...What I can't understand however is the people deluding thereselves into thinking NS doesn't stand a chance and that NH was ever canon material. At best NH could have been a by product of SS with Hinata being a consolation prize of some sort.

I read some of the Japanese fans explaining why Hinata is the only one looking away and she's sad. Probably the love is not fulfilled something like that. Since the movie is the love for the first time. Anyway, I'm still hoping for Naruto's confession. Coz up to now, he didn't say anything to Sakura about his feelings to her.

I hope all those narusaku moments will not be wasted. It's been beautifully built up and develop since the beginning and we're almost there. The only missing part is for Naruto to confess to Sakura so she could realize and think back everything they had. I hope the genjutsu Sasuke put it to her might help her too to question herself why.

I really like when Sakura was willing to forfeit the chunnin exam for Naruto's sake. You can see she's really starting to see him as a  person she cares for and not a pest anymore.

 

I really hated when she put the PoaL burden on him. She really irritated me at that moment. Well at least she tried to make amend for it latter even if a very clumsy way.

Too bad that the hero is never aware of all those Sakura's Naruto-moments (I find uplifting). Like when she ran (even if it was a crazy/foolish thing to do) to the four-tails Naruto showing unconditional acceptance of his jinchuriki status. If my memory serves me right, her act was the most vivid example of compassion (if we take Naruto's curse theme).

Is that the chapter where infinite tsukyomi is released. We then see Hinata dreaming about being with Naruto. Then a few panels later we have Naruto call infinite tsukyomi a lie? Yeah I didn't think that boded well at all for NH.

Most change: CPR and heart grab or promise of a lifetime.

Wish never existed: Chapter 693

Mostly ignored (by Kishimoto): Her addressing her feelings but might happen soon (as unlikely as it feels after 693).
