You're a genius! Can I hire you to make my business?
Oh wait. That's what most countries use now. Just a little less on the regulations.

Republicans are idiots
Democrats are idiots
Conservatives are idiots
Liberals are idiots.
They all think one dimensionally and never care about what really needs to be taken care of. The Economy? The economy always sorts itself out in the end. Just give it time. War on Iraq? I am not going down that road anymore. Pollution? While I think pollution is a problem, I think too many blow it out of proportion. The planet has survived far worse and will continue to do so long after the human race dies off.
Every action has a consequence in this world. The biggest problem I have is with the politicians themselves.
People are losing faith in the constitution of the United States. What happened? What happened to freedom of Speech and freedom of religion? I can't even celebrate my religion anymore because I am afraid that some hypocrite might sue me saying "you are intolerant" while they themselves are being intolerant than me.
I don't care about gay marriage, I don't care about abortion. While I am not one to decided if they should be legal or not, I really am indifferent about it. I am not a homosexual, though there is nothing wrong with that, so gay marriage doesn't affect me. I am also not a female so abortion does not affect me either. Do I think they should be against the law? No. I am just saying "It doesn't concern me so I do not have an opinion."
I do not follow a man who is named president and I do not follow a group of men who claim to be our government. I follow the one thing that America is....the Constitution of my rights. My right to be free in this country. I will live by it and I will die by it.
If Obama or Bush have any problem with this, then they both can go to that hot place down in the deep south.
I just want to be free and if anyone tries to take that away from me, I will fight to protect it with every power I have.

1). There will be absolutely NO bashing of ANY political party, the politicians of any political party, or any member who is part of said political party.
2). There will also be absolutely NO bashing of any particular topic that involves laws, or rules that you may or may not agree with.
3). These rules will be strictly enforced, as politics and religion are two topics that are highly volatile, and that we have tried to avoid having here at H&E.
The US elections for better or for worse, have changed all that.
So please act like grown up, mature human beings. Have grown up, mature conversations, and leave any and all negativity far outside of this thread.
Thank you.
~SakuBloss~
Have to quote Shauna on this one. No bashing in this thread, please.

One thing, calling people an idtio will not get you any sluice with the water here. The rules are at the first page.
I am not an idtio, and I am a liberal. =.=

.......what?
A sluice?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sluice
It's a good thing I am not water then huh? lol.
The rules say I should not insult someone personally, but then you just insulted yourself. I did not mention any names and I do not mention anyone personal here. I merely stated that anyone who categorizes themselves into a political group are retarded by their political group. And no not retarded by a personal insult. Retarded as in "held back." I am using the proper use for the word.
However, I did not curse and I did not doing anything wrong. In fact I could have ten times worse and used much more derogatory terms, but I am being polite about it. Just because someone is in idiot, does not mean they are unintelligent and it also does not mean they are unable to learn.
So what is the problem? I didn't even point out any names or mention anyone specifically. You did that yourself. You made it into a personal insult. So why is that my fault? I could say anything and it would turn into a personal insult. If you want to categorize yourself, that is your doing not mine. I chose to be my own category that shares similar views with others.
I tend to keep my mind open about politics and anyone who doesn't are just too blind to see the truth. If one denies the truth, then they are blind to it. In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.
What would you call someone who is truly "stupid?" ignorant? unintelligent? uninformed? uneducated? Seems every word can be taken as a negative feedback and you just proved my point that people take things too seriously and are indeed intolerant of things. What do you call someone who has no knowledge at all?
"True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing"
-Socrates
If you, in general, do not want me to voice my opinion. Then you, in general, should not open up a forum such as this one. What if an idea is stupid? Is that frowned upon? So according to the rules of the forums, I cannot be negative in anyway as everyone will tell me.
Alright....James Cassidy...you are stupid.

He did not call specific people idiots himself, he gave examples of what certain groups tend to say about their polar opposites.

This was not necessary to add to your post. Politics is a highly volatile subject as you should well know, and you can already see the result of calling everyone an idiot. It's starting unnecessary drama in a thread that has been devoid of it for a good while now. Don't do it. As Cloud pointed out, the rules on this are clear.

Dude...a small store needs to make half a million yearly to stay alive. Plus if you raise taxes on the rich, the rich will raise prices on the middle class, which is us. If you let's say tax the toilet paper company, then the toilet paper company will have 3 choices.
1. Close down [no more toilet papers]
2. Move to another country [Hong Kong, Mexico, someplace where there are no minimum wage laws, and no taxes] [no more toilet papers]
3. Raise prices to keep up with revenue. [Toilet papers more expensive]
Now how would you live your life without toilet paper?
You see, the problem that the United States faces is simple, competition against foreign nations. Foreign nations have no minimum wage laws, and some of them don't even have a progressive tax system. The Bush tax cuts were to prevent a total Exodus from happening, it just wasn't enough.

I understand what you mean, but I think the problem is that you called a majority of the people in America "idiots" since most people tend to agree with the majority of ideals of either political party. A lot of people on this site, and most of them who visit this thread regularly, probably call themselves Republican, Democratic, Conservative, or Liberal.
You can say that you don't agree with any of those, and prefer not to be grouped up and labeled one thing or another. But you can't use a term like idiot to label the whole group since that is stereotyping and considered sophomoric behavior around here.
On a different note, the National Healthcare bill is going through the Senate right now, right? I can't even find a hint of information on this online. I guess I just don't know where to look?

No...the place that i work, a small warehouse needs to make a million a year, otherwise it will not be able to stay afloat, and it is not a big company. It is a small one, the expenses are huge.

The bigger companies the one that make over 250,000 a year.
First, a small business's gross (not net) earnings are taxed as income. In many cases, they are reported on the owner's taxes as personal income.
Most small business's gross earnings exceed $250,000.
Thus, an increase in taxes on those people is an increase in taxes on those small businesses.
Number #2: The tax breaks to the rich line is crap. It ignores two very important things. The first being that nearly 40% of the people in the United States don't pay income taxes (when all deductions and credits are accounted for).
Second, the "rich" pay the vast majority of incomes taxes. And I do mean vast majority. It took him three terms, but Michael Bloomberg finally figured this out.
Given those two facts: how would you construct a tax break that wasn't for "the rich?" and was for everyone or the not so rich? Additionally, if I did an accross the board tax cut where everyone's rate was cut by the same amount (which I believe is what the Bush tax cuts did at I think 3%, along with a cut in the capital gains tax), who is going to be the biggest beneficiary? I'd imagine that it'd be the people that pay the most taxes.
Only selective or obscenely lopsided tax cuts will not benefit "the rich." It's a matter mathematics.
That's because there is no single Senate bill. Various committees in the Senate have passed their own bills, such as the Baucus Bill (Finance Committee), but there is no "one" bill right now.
Dood, there are so many great ways to answer this question, most of which will probably get me into trouble.
