In memory of Joeseph Hanna and William Barbera, two men who shaped my childhood with some of the greatest cartoons of all time I've been on a movie based on their toon marathon over the last few days.
Scooby-Doo (2002)-4/10 The first 10 minutes of this movie are great, almost like an episode of the show. After that however it falls apart faster than a milk-sogged Oreo. One really good thing I can say about it is Matthew Lillard's performance as Shaggy, if there was an award for accurately bringing a cartoon character to life he'd win it. Can't say the same about the rest of the stoners cast though.
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)-0/10 I can't say anything about this movie, it would probably get this thread deleted. Just look at the score and lets move on.
The Flinstones (1994)-8/10 I don't care what anyone says, I freaking love this movie. Maybe it's just personal bias as a long-time Flinstones fan, I dunno but I can't ever remember a movie based on a cartoon that captured the spirit of the source material better than this one. Yabba Dabba Do!
The Jetsons Movie (1991)-0/10 Love Ballads, 80's rock music, Care Bear like creatures....sure sounds like a Jetsons movie to me....
Tom & Jerry: The Movie (1992)-0/10 This movie is so bad it almost ruined Tom & Jerry for me as a kid. Tony Jay (Rest In Peace) should've been ashamed to be in this crock of ****.

I forgot to post this movie because I saw this a couple of days ago...
Journey to the Center of the Earth: 8/10
It was boring at the beginning but then it became exciting later on as the trio stumbled in the cave. I wonder does all of extincted plants and dinosaurs really still exist in the Earth's core.

This Christmas - 10/10
Watched it over the Thanksgiving break with my mother and simply loved it. A must see for anyone who enjoys the 'unusual' Christmas movie filled with comedy, drama and the true meaning of family~ (jeez, I sound like one of those... previews >>) Regina King simply stole my heart in this movie... since I haven't seen her in anything else since Miss Congeniality 2 (Tina Turner moment ftw! )
No matter how dark it is, you’re not alone you know?
This is a bad batch of films.... I rented them all at the same time..... please, someone save me from all the badness.
Anaconda 3: Offspring 0/10 Terrible, I thought this was going to atleast be cheesy fun what-with David Hasselhoff being in it.... But now, god is this awful, not as bad as the BTK killer movie I rated a while back but close. Lets get to the two stars of the movie first, David Hasselhoff and the snake(s). Um... so bad actor + bad scripting can = funny but in this case it is deadly, like a flesh eating virus seeping from the television screen, nothing makes sense that these people say or do. The snake itself... this is one of those movies where the creature is a creation gone wrong.... and of course any kind of tweaking would cause nature to give the anaconda a axe-spiked tail.... and the deaths, aren't suspense inducing, there are no jumps, and the anaconda has a fetish with not swallowing it's prey, even though it's 60 feet long!!!! No, it simply bites their heads off because you know... that's enough to keep it full....... Bad, bad bad movie distributors!!!!
Superhero movie 0/10 Wow... not even funny.... not in the least. I've not watched any of these "Movie" movies since Scary Movie 2. God-awful... their basic formula is thus: "Hey look it's everything you've seen already mixed into one... and we threw in a few sex jokes and poorly executed/timed slapstick"... I throw up on you people who made this, this is useless junk where the money could've been spent on making something better.... like "Daredevil" even. Yes, I said it. Daredevil is a bad Superhero movie, but boy is it isles above this in terms of being decent in it's genre of film.
Strange Wilderness 1/10 Strange wilderness.... not funny, they're trying way too hard... and the jokes.... aren't funny to begin with, I maybe laughed 3 times.....
But mind you none of these are as bad as BTK killer.

Resident Evil Degeneration (2008)-4/10 I never thought I'd see a CG animated film based upon a video game worse than FF7 Advent Children....boy was I wrong/
I was suprised, when I saw the trailer after watching the brilliant Wall-E I thought to myself it was going to be another garbege disney tries to throw at us because it had Celebrities like Travolta (for the grown-ups) and that anoying Miley Cyrus (for the kiddies)...
But it happned to be a really enjoyable film, don't get me wrong, Miley Cyrus was still anoying as hell and cheap morale lesson were still inserted, but besides that I can honstely say that the animels saved this film and espicelly im refering to Bolt (Johnny who was surprisingly great) and Mittens (Voiced by the wonderful Susie Essman) who created an intresting reltionship you don't see very often in disney, and intruged me and made me laught throught the film, besides that Rhino and the pigons were hilarious (notice the animaniacs reference!)
Bad point was... the humans! bah! so boring...
Anyway, a step in the right direction for disney, good for them

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: 9/10
Damn it. If I should had bought the rest of the Narnia series when I was younger (only have The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe), then I can actually rate the movie based on difference between film and book. But I haven't, and this movie better than the first. Got me excited, though, Aslan finally appeared at the last minute and saved the day?! Why can't at least one Perversie kid save Narnia for once? Although, since I read the short character summaries that was provided in the second book, I knew that this is the last book that the 4 Perversie kids will appear together because in the other books, they came in 3 or 2 and readers won't read what and why either one or the other didn't appear.
What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!
Bah, was pretty enjoyable as a kid but today it's really laughable, Jacky's joker is just Jack nichloson in a clown suit.
Batman returns 8/10
The best around of the old batman films for me, the destrctive romance of batman and catwoman was done pretty well and the Punguin was nice remake for an old fav.
Batman forever 4/10
Augh! Jim cerry's ridler is idotic and don't get me started on two face bah! NEXT!
Batman & Robin -5/10
NEXT!
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm 9/10
Before Nolan, this was as far as best came to Batman for me, it dealt with such deep issues in the batman mythos that even some of nolan's film didn't come up with (Although Dark knight tried to approch one of them but I don't think it was good as it was in this film) and it was just a cartoon! Just too see how wonderful this movie is here are what I consider the two best parts in this movie:
A great movie has it done things by the book (or the comic book in that matter) A more realistic world without any bat nipples "shudder" Great, faithful villians. And most impoetent of all dealing withone of batman's most known themes: fear.
The Dark knight 9.9/10
I believe in the Dark knight!
But really this movie made the impossible possiable, no only did it manged to be faithful to the source metrial but it also manged to add some of it's genius to the batman mythos. It's really great that the ertenal battle between Batman and the Joker made it to the big screen, even though Heath died, they still made it clear that Batman and the Joker will never stop fighting!

It was finally the time that I watched:
The Dark Knight: (I don't know how high I can rate this movie, but it's certainly OVER 10!)
Epic. Excitement. AWESOME! God rest his soul, Ledger shocked me as he was playing the Joker. He REALLY was in character, so much in character that it got to the point it almost scared me. And then the guy who played Harvey Dent, who soon to be known as Two-Face, another great character!
I can't really describe how awesome this movie was. I finally got a chance to see it and it was a great movie. Hopefully, Ledger will get an accomplishment in the Oscar/Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actor for how he did played an awesome yet scary Joker.

The Wrestler (2008)-10/10 I had to search high and low for where this movie would be playing and boy was it ever worth the search. 58 year old Mickey Rourke turns in one of the best performances this year as a retired Professional Wrestler who steps into the ring again 20 years after a heart attack forces his retirement. The movie isn't so much about the Wrestling as it is about the characters and Rourke as well as the supporting cast including Marissa Tomei, Tilda Swinton and a quagmire of real Professional Wrestlers really light up the screen. That's not to say this movie doesn't have some good Wrestling action, it does including a memorable fight between Rourke's character "The Ram" and real-life hardcore Wrestler Necro Butcher. If you aren't a fan of Pro Wrestling this movie might not be for you but if you can look past your hatred for it there is a great movie within.
Crazy funny movie! Lots of RPG references (WoW). And it seemed to hit alot of inside jokes I have with my friends, so that makes me a very biased reviewer.

Cadillac Records:
8/10
It was cool to see Beyonce SO in character, and all of the other cast portrayed their characters pretty well. Also, I hadn't known that The Rolling Stones has named themselves after a Muddy Waters song, and it made me wonder the real truth behind The Beach Boys, Elvis, etc. Overall, it was a pretty good movie and I was entertained.

I just had a 14hr flight to Asia last night so I saw a number of movies I missed.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army. 7/10 Overall it was a very interesting movie that could be watched by a person who is unfamiliar with the first movie. But one thing that bugged me is that the ectoplasm guy's actions. They shifted with much stimuli though the explanation given could apply to earlier situations.
Get Smart. 9/10. In my opinion it is one of those good comedies that didn't base its humor and jokes on crude sexual innuendos. The over all movie it self was a great fun to watch.

In the Spirit (no pun intended) of Frank Miller's new movie I go back and review my favorite movie of 2005.
Sin City (2005)-10/10 I'll admit, I never read the Sin City graphic novels or even heard of them before I saw this movie. I knew who Frank Miller was though, I must've read The Dark Knight Returns at least 100 times and Robert Rodriguez is one of my favorite Directors so my expectations for this movie were about 50/50. But my expectations were blown out the freaking window when I actually saw the film and after I saw it I decided I HAD to read the graphic novels. This is one of the greatest adaptations of a comic book/graphic novel I've ever seen and it was robbed when it came to the Oscars. It wasn't exactly Best Picture worthy I'll admit but the art style, the visuals, the music and especially a great performance by Mickey Rourke as Marv all merited nominations. I was so pissed at the academy for snubbing Sin City I actually sent a letter (and I have yet to get one back XD), this is pure entertainment and it shouldn't be missed by anyone especially if they are fans of the original graphic novels.
Resident Evil Degeneration. 7/10 I know this is talked about elsewhere but meh... It's the Final Fantasy Advent Children of Resident Evil. While there's more story to this than advent children the voice-synch is off, and not only that but the characters in this movie who aren't zombies sometimes suffer from one of CGI's biggest pitfalls, the whole dead-eye situation, where there's no life behind the eyes at all. Other than that most of the movement was decent the non-human animation was pretty good. The surroundings almost looked real. not a RE fan so it was pretty good, but just meh.
Square Enix's attempt to make more money off of FFVII has some beautiful CG, Tifa kicks ass before getting owned, and The Cloud VS. SEphiroth Fight was beyond awesome, but the plot was nothing special. FFVII Fans will like it, but im not exactly impressed by this movie.
