I have no idea. I'm not convinced this is how Kishi truly intended to end the manga and I think a lot of the problems are SP's doing. I bet the manga's ending was rushed to meet a deadline so the movie could be released and the ending was nothing but an advertisment or intro for part 3. I'd even go as far to say that Kaguya was only inserted to have the manga be connected to the movie and have it be canon, otherwise Toneri would be just a random filler villain. Having Madara be the final villain (before Sasuke anyway) felt like the right way to go and we wouldn't have this convloluted plot with the Otsutsuki clan.
I know a lot of us hate Kishi for what he has done to his manga, and I do too, but there's no way this was all his idea. I don't buy that one bit.
Agree, but what I think Kishi originally gave up perhaps the personal problems have to do with the passing of his father (a theory) and somehow came to regret his decision at a later time. But reading all his contradicting interviews, starting from the red herring one on December 5th (the day before The Last aired in Japan) up to the Jump Festa, kishi seems to be against SP and the canon pairings that are NH and SS and is out to sabotage his work with all the intentional and careless mistakes and OOCness in the final chapter and the new era projects. We got hint about Sakura's so called "hidden feelings" from the her novel and Kishi already made Naruto an a-hole in the Kakashi novel. if he's really out to get SP, now would be the chance to clinch it with the Sakura novel, explaining that Sakura secretly sees Naruto more of an romantic interest than her husband despite being married to Sasuke. 2chan already confirmed Kishi stating something similar in the movie pamphlet. And that's how you sabotage SP's BS. Problem is that I think Kishi does not have the mindset to pull it off

But seriously, it's pretty obvious now that they are taking people advantage. It was clear with The Last. It was clear with volume 72. It was clear with that calendar, and it's only going to continue on.
It's shame that I'm in same world with people that use those tactics, I never prefered to picture something that isn't there.
