Well, 2nd chapters is better, at least some work out, lol
It takes some time roughly 3 chapters before things get better. At least that's how it was for me, people have different opinions on when the series gets better. Based on my experience from reading this series it gets better little by little as the chapters keep going.

I barely remember what happened in chapter 1 XD
I'll tell you ahead of the time which guys and girls I like the most:
Boys- My favorite character is Shouto, followed by Deku, and then All Might. I also like Iida and Tokoyami.
Girls- surprisingly I am not sure; the majority will definitely say or at least mention Ochako Uraraka, but I'm still waiting for her to do something; I also like Momo, and Hatsume, but yeah.
You prob have no idea who these characters are, but you'll get to them soon.
Not that ships are important, but it seems like IzukuxOchako will become a thing.

The reason why I am saying this is b/c Ochako often goes on her own to Izuku, and lately she seems to have displayed some jealously when Izuku compliments another girl.

Oh yeah OchaDeku at least that's the ship name we've kinda came up for the ship name. It is a thing that will happen later on down the road considering how the series did just start last year tbh. Alot of people support it though and I mean I don't really blame theme. The shippings aren't really that important forthis manga, but I will tell you that Kohei the mangaka likes putting scenes of Deku and Ochako, and has plans to do so as well. So that's one sign you can consider as a hint for OchaDeku.
I'll tell you this my favorite characters:
Male: Deku (not cause he's the main character, but the intellegence he possesses for a shounen protagnist is what I love about him) followed by All Might, Todoroki, Aizawa (you'll know him once you get to a certain chapter) and Ida.
Female: Ochako (even though she needs to do something I love her personality), and Mei (you'll know her once you get to a certain chapter) are my favorite female characters.
One thing I can say though it's interesting when you re-read the series from where we are in the story because of the things the characters have gone through. Like I said there's only 31 chapters at the moment and you can see just where they've gone since the beginning. Just to give you a heads up in case you keep reading it.

Ugh... I've enough of love triangles for one series Naruto pretty much killed it for me when it comes to that aspect.

It killed the whole concept. There was no normal love triangle, there was one big couple with two not relevant people around, and with some madness they become most important people in whole history.

In the future, it's gonna be more than a finger. It's kind of a self-inflicting and dangerous quirk if you ask me

How is that All-mighty use it? 
I understand shounen, but c'mon, he got a badass power, and now it's more of a suicide solution. And gives new vibe to "with great power comes great responsibility"

Like the insights from volume 1 Kohei gives insight on certain characters in this volume. This time he talks about Todoroki, Momo, Tsuyu, Mineta, and a few other people I can't name at the top of my head.

Lol, you saw what All Might looks like if he is not in his SuperPower Modus XD He looks unrecognizable and terribly undernourished XD Deku (Izuku) still has a long way ahead of him to control this power. For now, it's mainly his brains and determination that makes him stand out.
I can't wait until you actually get to see the new class! Some of them are really badass with amazing quirks. Others have quirks that incredibly funny or ridiculous (depending on how you look at it.)
