It can be hard to take the first step after this huge disappointment with Naruto, but if Naruto is completely behind you besides this forum, TG should not disappoint you. I mean, I don't know what you like, and there is a possibility that you might get disappointed, but the storyline and characters are pretty captivating to say in the least.

In the anime, Juuzuo was creepy as kitten. They should have chosen another voice actor, but then again, some scenes cracked me up a lot. I'm trying to imagine what Sasaku and Shirazu will look like as women... Mutsuki didn't look to happy either. It sucks for him that he has to take up his previous identity again. Torso actually kind of had the idea of Mutsuki being a woman, I think. Otherwise he wouldn't have dared to attack him like that.
Lol, I totally forgot about that! It can only be someone from Aogiri Tree in my opinion. Maybe it was Nora or Eto? I imagine it's someone from the higherups.

I think it was Eto, or Tartara on Eto's order. Probably wanted to keep an eye on Kaneki's development.

Also, looks like Uta ran into some trouble back in the day, courtesy of Arima's former partner Hirako (the third CCG member that fought along with Shinohara and that other big guy against old man Yoshimura during the Aogiri arc):

the people with Uta at the end of the first part might be all that's left of the clown gang.

You know the good thing? Now that we are going into the original anime material, we don't need to worry anymore about the manga content. Watching TG again, but not knowing what will happen: I welcome this kind of unexpected turn of events

Well, it's true that Shironeki has undergone a drastic character development, but this Kaneki is just not convincing enough to me. He barely talks, and I can't just don't feel like the voice actor is fully impersonating Kaneki in his new self. But it's only the first episode, so we'll see.

If Touka would have just punched some sense into him XD But she was wounded T_T They make both Touka and Kaneki suffer even more in this series. Can't wait to see the inside of Aogiri Tree.

Seeing half of the investigators die was shocking as hell. Oh and btw, no censorship. Thanks SP.

Imao, Sawyer7mage is back and reviewed the first episode of Root A. I missed his sense of humor. Goddammit, Sawyer, just give the manga a try- looks like this episode convinced him now to start the manga though. He should beware of the comments b/c I doubt he knows that Kaneki doesn't join Aogiri Tree at all in the manga

Haha it's funny because people thought he died in a car accident, and i'm like poor guy I feel bad for your fans have to think about. It was great to hear his point of view of the anime though. He definitely needs to start the manga because it'll help help realize just how different both source materials are.

Do you mean that they expected something like this to happen to Kaneki?

Hirako often gets forgotten among all the other inspectors. It took me a while tbh to realize that he actually showed up a lot in :re so far.

So basically, the CCG knows about the Clown's existence, and Uta has been a clown for a long time, possibly already when he met Yomo.

Yes, he is hated among the fandom. I'm personally like, whatever, he's not my favorite character. I actually thought this turn of events was pretty cool.

Btw, did you watch the new episode of Root A. The clowns get mentioned early on! Nico, that guy he wears lipstick, said that the "Pierrots will have the last laugh." Expect a big shocker in the end at season 2.

I laughed my but of when he said that car crash accident in the beginning! I mean, I know he's not a professional critique or something like that, but he does aim to become a counselor, so I can generally expect from him better comments in regards to characterizations. He did a good job with the Legend of Korra if you ask me.

I expect another rant video from him one day b/c he got spoilered about Root A and the manga. He already got spoilered once about AoT and Fate/Stay Night- he got mad as kitten.

I think the main things we need to look out for are Uta and those damn clowns in general.

As for Uta, I've noticed that after I read his bio on wiki XD It's weird enough that he never turns of his Kakugan in his eyes if you ask me.

Kanou is probably one of my hated characters, imao. I knew from the start that this doctor wasn't trustworthy at all. Maybe he'll become a half-ghoul himself, who knows. Maybe it's one of those typical tropes in which he lost his wife or child that caused him to be such a nihilist regarding the human race.

Me, too! I was like: Goddamnit! They messed it up! I wanted some slow motion and emotional music, but nope, didn't happen. But the ending broke my heart! Touka and Kaneki need to suffer even more in here T_T

Yeah I told her about it yesterday just before we started watching Tokyo Ghoul yesterday.

True I will have to agree on that for sawyer reviewing Legend of Korra they were pretty amazing.

I do too actually, and I remember when he got spoiled for AoT he was pissed to the limit like stay away from this guy if you see him.
