Ino goes back to instant fan-girl, and the whole alliance completely ignores Sasuke's crimes including Naruto like there is nothing wrong. It's like Sasuke is never accountable for anything. As for SS and NH, they're not sunk yet. Sakura's reaction to Sasuke is really up for debate, and Naruto's respones to his father depends on the Raws. Also, no Kakashi or Lightning Blade this chapter, but that's more personal preference than anything.

I wouldn't say that seeing how Shino, Shikamaru, and a few others put up a protest. However, they have to focus on the Ten-tails at the moment so it's more of a "We'll let you help, but we don't trust you." Seeing how Sasuke doesn't care either way, I am not surprised. He is out for his own gain as usual and sees no one as equal except maybe Naruto.

The more I read this chapter , the more Sasuke is starting to piss me off yet again . He is not redeemed in the least , he is still the same old arrogant prick that does not care for others , he just wants to become hokage because he says so . While he may have changed his mind about the village , his attitude really makes it seem that he is willing to do anything and sacrifice anyone but himself to achieve his new goal ( Danzo ring a bell ? ).

It is also shown that Naruto perfectly understands this , when he remembers Itachi's words right after Sasuke says he does not care what the others think about him . And then Naruto , as if replying to Itachi , says to leave Sasuke to him , understanding that Sasuke has not yet changed .

So imo Sasuke is not yet redeemed and only Naruto can truly make that happen.

But since Minato was saying, "（初めまして。僕は波風ミナト）Nice to meet you. My name is Minato Namikaze" to Sakura, and THEN he was asking the question, so the more precise translation will be, "Are you Naruto's girlfriend(lover)?" instead of "Could it be...Naruto's girlfriend?"

Since I can't quote you for some reason, I'll answer to this.

In Japanese we don't have a word that can be used for both "girlfriend" AND a "friend who's a girl".

Besides I read the raw. Minato said 『もしかして...ナルトの彼女かな？』
This cannot be translated anything other than girlfriend or lover.

彼女can be translated to girlfriend, lover, or she.

But when it's translated to she, it is used the same way as the english "she".
She has a cat. She is training.
彼女は猫を持っている。彼女は修行をしている。

There is no way 「彼女」 could be translated to "she" with the way Minato's speaking.

Minato asked 『もしかして....ナルトの彼女かな？』

AH! My mistake then! But I direct it to any NH Fan though, that to argue for NH you have not just say things on impulse but think things through. Same for NS.

I much prefer psychotic "want to destroy everything" Sasuke than this one. He just doesn't feel "evil." Arrogant ass ,yeah, but that doesn't make someone evil.

I need the raw to confirm that actually on the contrary to how mangapanda looked like Naruto was hesitating before answering to Minato,
the raw version had no hesitation when Naruto said Sakura was his girlfriend. (from what I remember, I could be wrong)

I love how many people are calling this the worst chapter ever. No one complained when Ino and Hinata took control of Obito and the Juubi, no one complained when Ino linked minds with 300 people out of the blue, no one complained when Hinata deflected the Jubi's attack with Kyuubi chakra and no one complained when Tsunade revealed her Byakugou. I wouldn't put it that way, we only saw the Rookie 9's reaction to Sasuke, not the entire Alliance's. Their reaction was pretty much the same as if The Joker came up to Batman and Family and say, "I'll become the President of the United States!" Which is complete "WTF?"

Well, not the same, Batman'd probably beat up The Joker, but you get my meaning.

The way I see it, Sasuke's new motive is almost exactly like Orochimaru and Madara. And we all know how they turned out.

I'm guessing Kishimoto doesn't want to keep Sasuke as a good guy for long.

Well , he most likely still is the same psychotic "want to destroy everything" type , but only if it stands in his way to becoming Hokage . Which is how I see Kishi going with this and how he will make the final battle be a serious fight rather than just a simple spar.
