WooooooooW.
Interesting chapter, considering that I was gonna write my own alternate '616' chapter if it was less than satisfactory.
It was gonna be about their strategy to take out Madara and the Juubi.
It was gonna go something like this:
After Naruto held Hinata's hand, he jumps away from the Jubi, taking Hinata with him in the process, while yelling, "NOW!" Cue a gigantic, almost mountain sized rock flying towards Madara and Tobi, courtesy of Sakura's monstrous strength. It turns out Naruto was just faking his breakdown (although Neji's death almost did make him lose his composure) to distract the duo from discovering his and Shikaku's last-minute counter-attack plan.
The rock is followed by Chouji and other Akimichi, in their big-ass Kaiju mode, body-slamming the Jubi to hold it down, while the Nara all use their Kagemane techniques to help the Akimichi, with the Yamanaka helping coordinate the attack. The Inuzuka join in, using their Fang drill attacks to great effect. As they're flying through the air, Hinata questions Naruto's sudden vigor (insert dirty joke

) and Naruto responds with an incredulous, "What, you think their lecture about true Despair is enough to bring me down? I'm sorry Neji died, it's sad, but he died to protect me, to protect you. The only way to honor him now is to fight and give it my all to defeat these two psychos. His death just enraged my Will of Fire!" As they hit the ground, Sakura meets the two as Naruto lets go of Hinata and looks at Sakura and says, "Ready?"
They launch themselves towards the Jubi, with Rock Lee joining them, Gated and crying about Neji's unyielding FLAMES OF YOUTH, about to do one of those Peacock attacks as Sakura prepares to throw Naruto. Naruto, himself is charging a powerful Rasengan in Kyuubi mode. Sakura throws the two with her monstrous strength to deal the final blow.
Some similarities, especially with the Ino-Shika-Cho trio doing a lot of important work.
What I did not expect was for Naruto to give chakra to the entire army.
I especially love how his last dialogue practically erased my entire negativity about Naruto 'regressing.' This was the lesson I wanted him to learn DURING the Pein Invasion Arc, when a whole load of people died, but better late than never, I suppose.
My prediction for the incoming chapters:
The Fight against the Jubi, Tobi, and Madara comes to a close.
Sasuke's reappearance sets the final stage for Team 7's..."
explosive" Reunion, hopefully, an epic duel in Konoha happens.
Or, they don't meet at all, but when the Konoha shinobi come home, they discover the result of Sasuke and his group's infiltration.
I'm not even gonna bother with any 'romantic' developments, they occur so sporadically and often end up leading to something that doesn't make it a romantic event.
Useless trivia: The main universe in the Marvel comics is called Earth-616.
