I just realize that the most NH/SS development happen in the chunin exam arc. Only one arc that those two parings had development. In part 2 before 437 & Kage summit arc, you kinda forget they had NH/SS. Sakura in the start of part 2 too the Kage summit, did not seem to be still in love with Sasuke and Naruto seem more determine to bring back Sasuke more than Sakura and Hinata barely shown in part 2. NaruSaku was develop in almost every arc in the story, so it is common sense that Kishi intended to make NaruSaku canon.

i wouldn't quite call that common sense considering that narusaku is a minority, or so I'm told.

Hmm. looks like stuff from 3 different sources-

1) fanart
2) a Japanese book or magazine article
3) a quote from a blog

The first one is easy, looks like a tiny narusaku fanart with the artist's funny comment on the antinarusaku crowd will react- "Kyaa! Masaka no narusaku" ("Eeek! Impossible! It's narusaku!")

The second unfortunately is too tiny and blurry for me to translate.

The third is just someone talking about how much they like narusaku and that it's "tai" (sea bream). This is a Japanese cultural reference and is difficult for me to explain in context, but you can sort of translate it as symbolically meaning (all at the same time): fortunate, auspicious, highest quality, respected, enduring... like I said, hard to properly translate into English.

It's the least popular Big 3 pairing, at least in the west. When you get really emotionally involved with something, common sense is often thrown out the window. Sometimes, I feel like presenting all the NS, SS, and NH moments (basically, any moments that are deemed SS and NH moments by SS/NH fans, even if NS fans don't necessarily consider it a moment) to someone who knows absolutely nothing about Naruto and its characters. I'd like to see their opinion on which pairing is more likely to happen.

Thanks a lot.

I'm more curious about that second image. I wonder what's the source. Also, I thought the quote is from the second image. I don't know. Good to know more NaruSaku in Japan. Seems like we getting populated.

Actually even in the west, even online, I've seen a sharp drop in naruhina and sasusaku fans, and a big jump in both narusaku and sasunaru shippers since I joined the fandom. True sasusaku shippers (not nh shippers who dump sakura into that ship to "get her out of the way" or even worse because they want Sasuke to abuse her or kill her off) have, in the west, dwindled away to very small numbers dropping below both narusaku and sasunaru- a section of the real ones switched over to sasukar in part 2, another section switched over to narusaku in part 2. Naruhina has declined in part 2 as well, it's online numbers are nothing like they were seven years ago, part of it's shippers moved on to narusaku, kibahina and nejihina in part 2. Online presence in the west the rankings involving at least one of the 4 main characters are probably: naruhina (declining), narusaku (rising), sasunaru (rising), sasusaku (declining), sasukar (rising), kakasaku (rising), itasasu (rising, eww, I know, but yeah it's numbers are rising since part 2 started), sakuhina (rising), sakuino (rising)

Now in Japan as far as the hetro pairings go involving the 4 main characters, sasusaku is still number 1- but it's numbers have dropped substantially since part 2 started and narusaku, although second ranking of those type pairings, even in part 1 has seen it's numbers jump since part 2 began. (naruhina has never been terribly popular in Japan, it's way down the overall favorite pairings list, below even a couple of other pairings involving Hinata, Nejihina being the top Hinata pairing in Japan)

well part of it was posted here awhile ago

as expected KakaIru was number one in Japan

and as she said NejiHina was ahead of NaruHina (NaruSaku was as well)

however it must be stated these are from Japanese fans who actually care about pairings which is a minority (whether sizable or not is debatable)

No, sasusaku has been #1 of the het team 7 related pairings since the beginning. But sasusaku has declined in popularity while narusaku has risen since part 2 of the manga started. The numbers for sasusaku used to be double that of narusaku. Narusaku was still number #2 though, of the het Team 7 related (meaning having at least one member of team 7 in it) pairings. This is the latest pairing poll we have from Japan- May 2010 and was posted on NF no less, here:
http://www.narutofor...ad.php?t=620658

To show you how popular Sakura is amongst Japanese fans compared to Hinata, even a crack pairing for Sakura- KakaSaku comes in higher than the first Hinata pairing- NejiHina. Naruhina doesn't even have half the numbers of Narusaku.

Who I feel sorry for in Japanese fandom is poor Chouji. sad.gif Prejudice against fat people is worse in Japan than in the US (and it's pretty bad here)- this didn't used to be true, it's only gotten extreme in about the last 10 years over there. Thankfully Kishimoto, although he does the typical stereotyping of fat people with Chouji, he clearly loves the character- shows he's the heart of Ino-Shika-Cho, and has been subtly hinting at Cho-Ino since part 1. Hope he goes through with the pairing at the ending of the manga, maybe that will have some positive influence amongst the readers of Naruto at least.

I don't really care about Chouji anymore. I really hope Kishi doesn't just make like 5 pairings at the end. The most I want for SasuKarin is just a subtle hint towards it. The main pairing focus should be on NaruSaku since, well, both of them are main characters that I think alot of us care about more than the other characters.

Except for Deidara... Wish we could have gotten more of him. In fact I demand there be a sequel staring Deidara.
