Apparently there's another translation (see the movie thread) that doesn't even mention the scarf blowing in her direction.

I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but if the official twitter account for the naruto movie is saying "hey, pay attention to Hinata and the scarf", that's the biggest red flag we've ever gotten. 

 

"The main poster of the movie "THE LAST - NARUTO THE MOVIE" has been lifted!! Naruto's red scarf turns sideways towards Hinata!? Also take note to the catching text too!!"

And the text which they are asking us to note says "The last story is the first love"

 

 

I mean, come on guys. It's as clear as daylight. I don't like it either, but that's the end of the shipping war to me. And I know, there's so much more evidence for narusaku then naruhina that it's ridiculous. Logically, narusaku should be end game. But this is Kishimoto.  He's screwed up his own story before and he can do it until the end. And if the majority of the naruto fanbase favors naruhina over narusaku, he's probably going to pick naruhina. It's all about pleasing the majority of your fans and making money from that unfortunately. Convince me otherwise, please. But for me, it's over.

True. One side is going to be mad regardless of the outcome. Even so, looking at what I quoted (or rather what milan kyuubi originally quoted), that's enough to make NaruHina canon I think.

actually I made an error on that translation. Better I make a recap here..

 

yesterday a japanese article said something like that "Hinata is the only character who appeared in profile and the red scarf can be the key to the solution of this story. And the fans would like to dig into it."

 

So, at this rate, the official tweet of THE LAST, retweeted before that article and then twitted "Naruto's red scarf and Hinata sideways?! Look at the text".

 

I see a small of teasing here... it's the usual crap war pairing.

one Narusaku movie

tons of Minakushi/Narusaku parallels

and Minato asking Naruto if Sakura was his GF

 

for Narusaku not to happen at this point.

I would only be worried if they made any mention of Naruto and Hinata's relationship being central to the story.

 

All they do is mention the scarf and Hinata's pose being different from everyone else.

 

So what is clear a daylight and how does this confirm NaruHina?

 

Find me manga evidence that Naruto been hinted to or has shown romantic interest/feelings in Hinata along with page links. This needs to be irrefutable as well.

 

It takes two to carry a ship, not one.

I'll believe NH is endgame until I see it but until then I'm not giving up on NaruSaku I don't care how many NH or SS fans tell me to give it up.

I don't think we'd have gotten the NS hints we've gotten unless the author intended to come full circle on this pairing. By hints, I mean, Naruto not being able to confess to Sakura until Sasuke came back, and that whole "Are you Naruto's girlfriend" business that only confirmed the Kushina/Sakura parallel--especially with that last one being so close to the end of the story These are the strongest hints.

 

I don't know what to make of the tweet, but I'm not too worried. Apparently it's normal to have pairing teasing before a movie comes out--it's all about the money, people will go hoping to see their pairing canonized. The rest, we'll just have to wait and see.
