I don't know for sure about this, but I did read somewhere that Kishi liked stories where the lead male gets the lead female, but has to go through trouble to achieve his goals...

I'd love to believe that, but I've also heard NaruHina fans claim Kishi said he doesn't want to do a Main Hero/Main Heroine pairing. I guess I'd feel like a hypocrite if I believed one while laughing at the other.
His family might be an inspiration, but I haven't heard anything about that, and I've also heard NaruHina fans make claims about that to support their own pairing *rolls eyes* .
I think, as far as inspiration goes, the best we can call upon are other manga that inspired him. I've only heard him claim Slam Dunk and Dragonball (Z) as inspirations, and neither really helps us too much. I don't believe the love triangle in Slam Dunk was ever resolved (correct me if I'm wrong), and Goku's wife Chi-Chi can be seen helping either NaruHina or NaruSaku. I believe she started off as a sort-of shy girl (again, correct me if I'm wrong), but definitely grew up into a tsundere like Sakura. I feel like Goku and Chi-Chi's relationship in DBZ is reminiscent of NaruSaku, but their relationship isn't identical by any means.
Besides, I feel like the only thing he drew from Dragonball was Naruto's character and his relationship with Sasuke (drew upon Goku's relationship with Kururin/Krillin). And the LSSJ Raikage of course.

WOHOO!! x3 Sakura has been compared to Kishi's wife! Poor, poor Kishi lol. And with the NH fans bashing Sakura, in Kishi's eyes they'd be bashing his wife! If what Patpala said was true, then NS scores!! I also read that Kishi is really fond of Sakura on Sakuras page of Narutopedia. But when I read Hina's page, her quotes were almost all based on Naruto which scares me a bit >.>

And yay, what everybody said made me feel much much better. Now I wonder if the OVA is gonna come true or not...? Its not like Kishi to give hints... If the OVA does come true, I must bring myself to say; NS=canon biggrin.gif There was no mistake in Naruto's love when he touched Sakura's cheek.

1. That's why I don't want this to be the only reason that NaruSaku is possibly and why I also said this isn't 100% of our confirmation...Curse you NaruHina fans

2. Really, I thought of it more like his relationship with Vegeta, but backwards, unless you consider Majin Vegata vs Goku, but I guess it is like Goku and Krillin

Chi Chi wasn't actually a shy girl like Hinata when young. she was like Sakura fangirling over sasuke abit, not timd or reserved but tough nonetheless. but yeah Goku and Chi-chi do remind me of NS an awful lot, just the basic tsundere relationship. actually you could say that about Gohan and Videl relationship too. you have to be familiar with DBZ series.

Goku and Chi Chi = MinaKushi

Gohan and Videl = NaruSaku

they just match perfectly seeing Kishi is a big fan DBZ

Goku and Chi Chi = MinaKushi

Gohan and Videl = NaruSaku

Well I think Videl was toned down a bit everytime we saw her in DBZ, she went from being awesome to a background character and her personality went from serious to goofy after hanging around with Gohan after too long. And we all know Sakura is still an awesome fighter and important to the storyline.

Other than that, yeah, I see these two being the couples that match from DBZ and Naruto

Pretty much any wiki gets destroyed by fans, but lately, Narutopedia is kinda spot on, but the only thing I use it for is jutus, cause recently I found someone who thought the Rinnegan was the worst eyes in the series, stating it only lets you see what other bodys with the eyes see...hmm dude didn't know what he was talking about.

Yeah, we can't say this proves NaruSaku 100%, but hey, it's puts smiles back on our faces.

It doesn't really do anything to prove NaruSaku, I agree. Which why I said that the comments probably weren't related, and just a cute / amusing coincidence to mention. wink.gif It's just a fun fact I found myself liking.

And yes, the development that Naruto and Sakura's relationship has had over the entire series is one of it's major backings. Despite everything, there's been absolutely no development of SasuSaku from Sasuke's side, and absolutely no development of NaruHina from Naruto's side in the entirety of part two.

NaruSaku, whether you consider it platonic or romantic or some unnameable mix of the two, has had mutual development of their relationship over the course of the entire series, in which both sides have come to love and appreciate the other and make sacrifices for one another's happiness. It is obviously the most important bond in the story after Naruto and Sasuke's.

Honestly, with all the slow, gradual and consistent development that NaruSaku has had throughout the manga, it's hard to think of it not happening. Sakura's feelings have changed for Naruto over time from the very beginning of the manga. If Kishi was to be swayed by what is more popular or what people like, then it wouldn't be Kishi's story. It wouldn't be the romance that Kishi had written for his own story. He will do it the way he's been doing it since the beginning. The reason why it would be strange if NaruSaku doesn't become canon is because of all the development and everything that has happened between these two and that he would spend so much time on it's development and bringing in so many positive and mutual moments between them to then just dismiss it at the end of the series and go with a different pairing. Naruto still loves Sakura and Sakura has been shown to love Naruto as well. Sakura just needs her feelings for Sasuke to be resolved and then prove to Naruto again that she truly loves him and only him and that he is truly the right one for her.

Some of you guys are being really pessimistic about this whole thing. It's best to just relax and stay calm about it and to just watch and wait to see where the manga is heading from now on. There's bound to be more moments in the future.

That's my two cents, even though most of it has already been mentioned.

Bolded- sweatdrop.gif sorry, didn't know thats what you meant...

Back to topic, yes their development is what keeps the story going, but sadly, Naruto's does more seeing as how he's the main character, but that doesn't make Sakura anyless important. At least these two work for there strength, not like Sasuke getting free boost out of thin air. Plus unless Kishi really likes the troll life, all the moments Naruto and Sakura had must mean something, it can't be a sister/brother relationship that NaruHina fans believe it is. At least we can say both sides like each other, not like the one sided Hinata and SasuSaku fans stating Sasukes just confused...

NaruSaku can be whatever relationship it has to be, I'll support it no matter what. Sacrifice is where this relationship get it's drive, that or Sasuke, cause all roots of sacrifice revolve around Sasuke

I don't know why so many people get worried about the brother/sister thing.
First off, siblings don't ask each other on dates, ask each other how 'womanly' they look, or hug each other like Sakura did to Naruto after the Pein Invasion.
Secondly, even if they did have a sibling relationship, I don't really think could completely kill the pairing. I've seen a few slightly more mature series where step-siblings or cousins fall in love (marriage among first cousins is/was legal in Japan, someone correct me if I'm wrong about this). On top of that, I've seen a few Japanese stories where non-related characters claim to see each other as siblings, and still get together in the end. I'm a little tired, and my anime/Japanese video game resume is pretty limited as it is, but Sothe/Micaiah from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (random game I know) and Edward/Winry from Fullmetal Alchemist come to mind at the moment.
I'm not trying to say incest is promoted in Japan, but I do think there are certain elements that differ between Western and Eastern storytelling that some Westerners don't really understand too well.

WTF? thats the ridiculious arguement ever it has no ground. NaruSaku doesn't have a sibling relationship it never has been protrayed as that .Naruto is IN LOVE with her. Sakura has never shown she likes him as a brother.

thats what we call denial my friend.

they are delusional if they say that.

NS is only going one way! it can't go to anything else imo. evidence says so.

I could tell with my own eyes, which pieces of information are true or not. Just that many important points, I think, are skipped. And many points are a bit emphasized.

And I hope that Sakura protects Naruto from that Akatsuki guy who attacked her x3 So Naruto won't be captured by him. That would be great, as long as it's not what they call 'suicidal love'.

Not to be a debbie downer, but theirs a couple of things that suck about this whole situation.

1) It's not really Sakura lol its Kishi, all this romantic development wont mean a thing if at the end of the day kishi pairs Naruto with hin(didnt want to say it all)

2) We as Narusaku fans have to kind of beat two ppl and win this war. ( kind of like Naruto vs Madara and sasuke lol)
the other pairing are happy if one or the other happens.

On the other hand SS cant happen cause I just dont see sasuke coming back to the village and just living a normal life like nothing ever happened lol
then again I guess, (but highly doubt) sakura could end up alone, just longing for sasuke forever.

And I was wondering isn't Hinata wasn't feelings for someone else?

Interesting a_plotting.gif

It was Kubo (or another mangaka) that said something about Kishi's wife reminding him of/ resembling Sakura.

Kishi himself said in an early episode in part one I believe that he felt that he was most like Naruto.

In all honesty, I'm pretty sure they're not related comments, but I thought it was a funny and cute coincidence none the less. tongue.gif

I suspected that Kishimoto was basing Sakura's personality at least partly on his wife, he recently (at the notes for manga volume 53) stated that Kushina's personality came from his wife- he outright asked for her help to make the character realistic. What female character has a personality similar to Kushina? Sakura. And look at how he describes Sakura- "a normal girl" "the most realistic character in the manga" (what women would Kishimoto know best- his mother and his wife. In another manga volume Kishimoto described his mom very positively and how he felt she was heroic: when he was on a field trip as a kid and she rescued him when he fell in something that covered him in muck. Even his teacher just stared at him, his mom marched right over and got him out, no scolding she just acted. He said that moment made him in awe of her, what a great mom she was. (The origins of Kishimoto's love for strong willed women and knowing how deeply they care for the people they love, I think smile.gif I could very easily see Sakura acting that way with her and Naruto's children.

Your statement actually makes me think of this pairing debates going on and about. Even with some of her doubts, for me, Sakura is a much more Stronger willed woman than Hinata. Her doubts and fears just give her bigger depth compared to Hinata who just thinks of Naruto and poof she's A-OK. This just adds another reason to why Sakura is a great character. She's believable, you can actually relate to her somewhat.
