I know who you're talking about (try not to mock her too much, though), and I just have to say that I find it incredibly ironic that she doesn't find SasuSaku to have abusive qualities at all when she's apparently "studied psychology for over three years". What makes SasuSaku a potentially abusive relationship is not about whether or not he physically beats her or insults her regularly. It's the simple fact he, Sasuke Uchiha, does not care about Sakura Haruno romantically. This fact alone not only makes the relationship one-sided - as has been argued against the pairing from the get-go - but it also greatly implies that Sasuke would neglect Sakura romantically, thus hurting her. The fact he never paid her the kind of mind (because he was never interested in the first place) was a form of neglect and inconsideration toward Sakura's feelings. Sasuke's indifference toward Sakura's advances is what makes the relationship abusive. Granted, it is her own fault for still trying to pursue him, but the point still stands. Loving Sasuke does nothing but hurt Sakura.

Sasuke cares about Sakura as nothing more than a friend. Nothing he has said, nothing he has done has proven anything otherwise. He's not interested in women. He's too absorbed in his wants and needs to so much as consider it. Why? Because his ambitions don't lie in birthing more Uchiha babies; they lie in restoring his clan's former glory and pride. Well, maybe not so much anymore, but you get the idea.

That's my two cents, anyway.

I am not shocked NS is more popular in Japan. Japanese readers obviously understand manga tropes (including the tsundere archetype) better than Western fans, and they know how a Japanese person's mind works. They are more liable to interpret the feeding scene or the hugging moment how romantic hints.

Hey, Fire, I wouldn't worry too much about what the anime implies with its material. We don't know if it's "Kishimoto-approved" or not, so it's not something to seriously consider in debates about which pairing in the series is more likely.

I will, say, though, that it makes for a perfectly reasonable debate on its own.

@PHYS: Yeah, she was the one who - uh - pretty much flooded the sticked fandom bashing thread in the fanclub sections with judgemental and biased claims about the ANH, using "three years as a psychology major" to back up her claims that we're nothing but a group of oversensitive, self-centered children. I'll try to refrain from delving much further into that, though.

Why I don't like NaruSaku:



Ah, the pairing of Naruto and Sakura. Yeeeah...no. I have never really cared for this pairing. Want to know why?

It just wouldn't...and couldn't be a healthy relationship for either Naruto or Sakura.

First of all, both Naruto and Sakura pined for Sasuke's attention when they were all just starting out as a team, and before that even. Sakura claims to be in love with him, and Naruto obviously cares deeply for him, as more than just a friend. They're both obsessed with Sasuke either way.



Yes, Naruto had a thing for Sakura back in part one, but really, you don't see him think about her like he did back then, or not much. His focus has always really been Sasuke. Sakura is very important to him, but really think about it, what would a romantic relationship do? It would only put more stress on their relationship.



Sakura, on the other hand, didn't even think Naruto was worth sitting down and really talking to in most of part one. Even in Shippuden, she's always putting him down, insulting him, treating him like a child, and even hitting him when it really isn't called for. There will be people out there who claim that Sakura only hits him out of love...that really only makes it worse.



Sakura, if she were to end up with Naruto...well, I wouldn't be too happy. I mean, yes, it's a clear possibility, that doesn't mean it's a good pairing. There are lots of canon pairings that just don't fit right. This seems like one of the biggest.



In fanfiction, you will read about Naruto falling for Sakura because she's beautiful and smart, strong and brave, and so sweet...but still a bit rough around the edges...oh, but of course the writers rarely mention that she tends to be a little closed minded, hits people she cares about, has a selfish tendency, gets highly competitive, and that she tends to say things that often hurt Naruto. Since back in part one, she hasn't really shown much respect for him. It's sad but true.



I just don't see this relationship doing much good for either of them if it were to take a romantic turn. Sakura would be an abusive partner, that much is obvious to me. That, and they have chemistry, but not on a romantic level. They fit rather well, but as friends and teammates. I just can't see them having a lasting, healthy romantic relationship, I never have.

The person is a SasukexNaruto shipper. They just used the same tiresome distortions that all the other Sakura bashers do. Nothing that hasn't been easily refuted by the manga before.

That person is a NaruSasu shipper. His/her ONLY reason for hating NaruSaku is -and forgive my bluntness- Sakura has breasts. All his/her reasons are nothing but excuses.

I still remember a NaruSasu fan screaming who Sakura thinks she is and who has given her right to hit Naruto.

Sakura has hit Naruto half dozen of times in comedic situations, usually when he was behaving like an ass or a pervert. And Naruto's bruises were magically healed in the next pannel (since that violence never was serious).

Sasuke has tried murdering Naruto several times over. Naruto is alive only because the Demon Fox regenerated his body, and he has been hospitalized cause the -physical- wounds Sasuke caused him.

Sasuke left and betrayed Naruto and has proved he can't care less about him. Sakura has stuck for Naruto's side and she has never left him or betrayed him ever.

I find hysterically hilarious a NaruSasu shipper bashes NaruSaku on the grounds of Sakura abusing Naruto when Sasuke has physically and emotionally hurt Naruto in ways Sakura never did.

well,Sakura is very hard headed its going to take some humungus event for her to realize how much she loves Naruto...Like her having to make a choice between whom she will have to save Naruto or Sasuke,or something along those lines.

as sdifferent as day and night, but yet one may not exists without the other in a spiritual since.
much like the Yin & Yang symbol. the purity of the white combined with the deep mystery of the black.
it makes perfect sense why they should be together !

but, you could also argue the same exact thing with Sasuke and Sakura.
though the chances arer slim. . i beleive them becoming one is still a very strong possibility~


but Naruto X Sakura are my favortie ♥


so i beleive therefore rat the moment. . its a battle between letting go of what you had, and diving in to something alien and completley new, in Sakuras case anyway !

Honestly, it's a pretty valid argument. But that's something that is still debatable, as Sakura's confession may have not been completely untrue. What we need to do is be patient and wait for Sakura's point of view before we make any calls on that, because the arguments for Sakura knowing and not knowing how much Naruto loves her are equally valid.

it says that when sasuke is walking away it means sasuke wants nothing to so with them he is closeing his hart more to everyone and going more evil

The beginning of the song can be implied to Sakura & Sasuke's relationship. I don't really think it's 100% anti-SS though, it's more like 50/50. I think it has a "friendship" feeling to it. She still thinks about Sasuke but this time it's different from part 1. As for the rest of the song, yeah.... pretty much N/S there......

I really don't think the song ties to any, though right now to me its more Sakura-centric, Sannin comparison and/or NaruSaku, depending on how you see it. Its more like a theme, once the animators has a theme for the next ending, they contact the artist for his/hers/theirs songs to represent the ending.

Definitely! I wouldn't even bother with arguing with them, they'll still be denying it if Kishimoto shows Sakura in labor and she gives birth to a blond haired blue eyed baby that Naruto and Sakura call their child.

Of course they would be denying it. That's not nearly enough evidence.
Obviously, Sakura is carrying Sasuke's child (both of them must have recessive blond hair genes).
Naruto is only there to help with the birth, while Sasuke is building their log cabin and playing with the gentle forest animals, after deciding one day that he didn't want to be a hate-driven madman anymore. (And that he was suddenly in love with Sakura.)

Oh... and the same deniers will then make fan-pics, putting Hinanta's face over Sakura's.

The only reasons why there is any question if her confession is true (which it was):
1) anti-Sakura bashers
2) Naruto clinging to his outdated image of the world.
When he found out how wrong he was, he proceeded to pass out.
I doubt that Naruto's reaction to Sakura confessing would be the same now, as it was then.
