I love FT so much but the fanfiction I read is just....

The reanimated corpse. Zeref used Natsu's body and used Etherious substance to give it life.

Disappointed with the revelation, like I normally am when it comes to FT reveals, the reveal is always built up a certain way but is always anti-climatic in comparison to the build-up, like with Erza and the other redhead, you felt like there was certain history there and then it's revealed as something not as dramatic, the reveal of the new reveal, was again built up as something more interesting instead it turned out not as interesting, still hoping the only reason the two smell the same is being of the magic used to create them, and not because they are clones of each other, I really hope there is more to what this chapter revealed.

 

I do have to wonder if this anime was more popular in the west, like Naruto, how religious parents would react to a character depicted like Jesus (His mother is hinted as being a Mavis, a Virgin mother) who punishes his enemies using the seven deadly sins. If we want to go further we could argue Zera represents the Holy Ghost, and the other founding members were the three wise men.

I think if there's one thing with the way Mashima reveals things is that they're obvious but not so obvious at the same time. In this case, we can assume Rakheid was "created" using the same way Zeref created E.N.D., but at the same time there's likely a twist in Rakheid's inception. Another good example might be Elie in Rave. From the beginning, readers could assume Elie was a Resha clone or even her descendant, but in the back of their minds the possibility that they were both the same person existed, although as improbable as it was.

I think Sherlock's quote applies to Mashima's way of storytelling:(paraphrased) If you eliminate the impossibilities, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

Simply speaking, anything that could explain Rakheid's character, however improbable (because it's too obvious), should not be dismissed.

Oh yes I have read so many stories like that to a point I have gotten SICK of them. You think authors will use more originality and creativity when it comes to fan fiction but many of them keeps using and reusing the same ideas. Don't they get tire of writing the same style of story?

I just want to see how Lucy will take the news next chapter  And don't worry about the scarf. that is a indirect Natsu X Lucy moment afterall since Anna is Lucy's many greats grandmother.
