Of course Naruto has to be there to keep an eye on things cause Sasuke might get too excited and strangle Sakura to prove how much he loves her.

1)from kishimoto because he hasn't any skill with romance

2)from editors who might have insisted to keep all pairings still alive until the end (marketing move sadly)

3) The fandoms who , 9 times out of 10 , tend to make a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to any panel remotely related to pairings.

I don't understand why a lot of people say that all romance, even NS, is pretty kittened up..... I might be agreeing with them in small part but we don't know what will happen in the movie... I would wait for it before. I just don't like to pass judgements before the things starts to be placed definitively...

As far a canon pairings go :

I liked DanTsu, that's it.

 

 

My favorite pairing are

SasuHina : don't judge me, I shipped it before Sasuke went full crazy and I do so in AUs where Sasuke didn't turn into a murderous angsty little kitten.

and SuigetsuxKarin

 

Basically shipping a pair with zero interactions and another one with people who hate one another above the romance Kishi spoonfed us. That's how bad he is at it.

 

Well I guess I still like LeeSaku and NaruSaku... But let Sakura get over Sasuke, Kishi you emotional abuses-loving monster.
