[only Naruto]

am really sad for the news .its like saying goodbye to a friend i knew  for 7 years and i know almost every thing about him . . it was coming anyway. there is so many things to be resolved in  just 5 chapters.. and open ending in the manga more likely now than ever  . but we still have the movie. i just want NS to happen .  cause its the only good message  for kishi to send about romance ..

just curious how kishi will manage the end... i don't thin thatk he will resolve definitely the pairings in this end... but only in the movie...

If NS does not happen in the manga. Then by all means it will be dead. Kishi is more likely going to write off screen panels how NH became to be and how he'd ignored SasuKarin and went with SS.

there's something worser... the manga will end with chapter 699 on 6th november (because we get the chapters early than japan which will have it on 10th), we will wait exactly one mont for some reports from those who will watch the movie at cinema. I predict a terrible war in that time lapse...

don't be so silly... resolving pairings within 5 chapters is impossible... At most Kishi could drop a hint in the last chapter but nothing definitive... the movie will give us all answers...

I knew you would have enjoyed that KnS   Chelsea are looking a class above all other teams this season. Lol at our old manager though, that shove on Mourinho.....it was the highlight of the match from an Arsenal pov

I've never heard of a series ending with a movie. I thought Kishimoto would care more than that. You should resolve all the main plots and side plots in the manga only, not a movie. And besides, how much can he actually put in 1 hr 30 min movie??? This is such a cop out. At the very least he should have ten chapters, not five.

 

I'm getting the feeling I'm going to end up turning to fanfiction for a satisfactory NaruSaku endgame. I don't doubt NS will most likely happen, but I can't picture it being done well in five chapters or even ten. 693 really screwed that up, though at the same time it would be ridiculous that it would take Naruto and Sakura two more years to be together.

 

I'm sad.  I always wanted NaruSaku canon well. Turning to fanfiction for anything better written than what the actual author put is pretty depressing.

How it's dead ? NS dead, but NH and SS not ? NH and SS don't have potential and don't exist from the beginning. These two pairings are just fans preferences to have in the manga.

If you think NS becoming canon would seem rushed and ridiculous at this time, then imagine how much more ridiculous to make NH and SS at this point.

I lost my faith in Kishi's being able to write good and consistent romance a long time ago.

The Sasuke angst really did damage the NaruSaku relationship quite a bit, but it's still a lot better than naruHina, sasusaku, sasukarin, or even narusasu the author true OTP.

 

Too much dramu, unneeded ambiguty and too much ups and downs.

Well, that... sucks. Although, I know of an anime which had an open ending (regarding pairings), but that predicament was soon resolved in the following movie.

 

We can't say definitely what will be in these five chapters, but I'm sure as hell it will be rushed.

I used to have a lot of faith in Kishimoto's romance writing. But it was when Naruto woke up from near-death and there was no OVA scene where Sakura would realize she loves Naruto I began to doubt him. And then there was 693 with Sakura's Sasuke angst and confession and now it's that manga's ending in 5-6 chapters. Hard to have faith in a believable endgame anymore.

 

You and James are right though. NaruSaku does have more development so it's still more easy to swallow than NH and SS, but that's not much of a compliment anymore. None of them make perfect sense, not even NS. At this point it's just which one is less bad.

i have always knew this... NS wouldn't have become canon if Sasuke was still out of the village. Naruto won't confess to her until Sasuke will come back. And, honestly, I prefer so.
