Her feelings are a mess and based on misguided beliefs about romance. Having Sakura not accepting Naruto's feelings fits in that scheme.

i guess they'll show sakura coming to the conclusion that it was based on a rivalry.

I was thinking that too. I don't really get the novels though. I'm wondering if they'll all take place in different periods of time, since Kakashi's is before the Last.

Naruto is pretty poor MC right now, he worked his ass for getting a girl, even bring a crush of this gril to her, confessed to her (lolwhere it was?) and being rejected...

Worked his ass out to become hokage, and didn't become one until title was handed to him by his teacher.

Still loved(?) girl he was in love with from very start then she started to ship him with weirdo, and even give lecture about "true" love to him.

And his best friend stole his beloved one...

LMAO, that's a lot for being main hero  :facepalm:

It will never make sense. The Kage Bunshin scene is already telling. The writer was probably told to end NS in some way, so he decided to do so with a off-screen retcon. It will never make sense. Don't get your hopes like ever.
