Hey, its been a while lol
what are you guys thinking about sakura words in chapter 693?
ive been wondering too much about NS so i decided to give myself a little time away from all this stuff including naruto chapters and all.
i just read the chapter 693 today, and i was like ''what''. for god sake, whats happening in this manga, im starting to get crazy

Just in case you read Mangastream, ignore it and read Viz or the raw instead. Mangastream makes it seem like Sakura's confessing again and even has Kakashi say "All Sakura wanted just now was to be yours!" when in reality she's just trying to stop him from killing Naruto and taki over the world, and Kakashi actually says the exact opposite: "Sakura's not trying or wanting to make you hers! She only wants to save you!"

If Sakura really wanted to be successful, then she shouldn't have focused so much on her feelings. Talking about all of Team 7 would be way better. And I simply do not agree with the idea Sakura's confession was just about some sort of platonic love. Just because Kakashi said daisuki once doesn't mean Sakura meant it platonically too. IMO that's almost like me saying Hinata's daisuki was meant platonically just because it can be used in different context. That's how much I don't understand this argument.

 

There's also the fact that Kakashi never had a crush on anyone in Team 7 like Sakura did with Sasuke. You're comparing two entirely different characters in two entirely different situations. And Kakashi saying Sakura only wants to save him, not be with him is good for us, but that doesn't mean she doesn't think she doesn't love him or has feelings for him.

 

There are plenty of reasons to love someone but not pursue a relationship. Giving up on the idea, knowing she needs someone better, knowing it's unrequited, not wanting to get hurt, not wanting to hurt another's feelings (in this case Naruto) would make sense for this as well, wouldn't you say?

 

I know this is another ambiguous chapter, but Sakura did say straight out "I LOVE YOU". Of course, the points on Kakashi's viewpoints are valid and definitely kill SS happening. 675 is still accurate. She doesn't love him anymore and her feelings have changed, but Sakura might not be aware of it.  She's confusing motivations like sympathy and wanting to save Sasuke as romantic just because of what she thought in the past. That's literally all this chapter showed me after reading the raws.

 

I'm honestly a bit surprised people so readily ignore Sakura's words "I LOVE YOU" as meaning she just friendzoned him ... I don't think we have any evidence she knows she has. Kakashi's perspective is Kishimoto's mouth piece, but that doesn't at all prove Sakura knows her real feelings yet.

 

Trust me, I would gladly be wrong. Her feelings for Sasuke are terrible for her development. But I can't help but be skeptical on how highly people estimate Sakura's self-awareness.

If you think about it... Naruto is the biggest reason a love triangle even exists lol. He didn't do it purposely, but he shot himself in the foot by planting a false image of Sasuke into Sakura. Ultimately you would figure over time you'd learn from multiple contacts that a guy can't just turn face that easily unless it's a joke, but for whatever reason, Kishi want's Sakura to hold onto that until she either learns the truth from Naruto himself or she finally realizes Sasuke just isn't the compassionate type of guy.

I hope NaruSaku happens just so we can see a couple end up with a happy peaceful ending in this manga. If you look back at all the romances in this manga, they all end up in a different sort of tragedy. Obito didn't get a chance to confess to Rin. Asuma never got to chance to see his and Kurenai's unborn child (at the time of his death). Minato and Kushina never got to experience being parents and grow as a family with Naruto. The implied romance between Konan and Yahiko ended with tragedy as well. Tsunade lost Dan during the war. Jiraiya never got a chance to be with Tsunade. It's all so depressing that I hope Kishi makes the NS pairing come true so we can see something that we can smile about with positivity. This couple has to be the one that surpasses all the pairings that didn't get their true happy ending, the ones that gets to experience true love, know the joys of being parents, and never have to worry about danger or tragedy lurking in their future.

Since a new chapter is coming out tommorow, does anybody know what time it'll be out? I have to wake up for school, but I want to read the chapter first.

I'm on the east coast, I've noticed it usually comes out around 7 or 8 am over here, so basically when I wake up. We can get into how miserable it is to wake up that early later though, after everybody is done ranting about the chapter lol

Yes, it does. They are in a sort of a relationship because she actually offered that and he never told her: "No, Sakura, I don't want to be with you". So... NH is not gonna happen. Naruto is already bound to that "sort of" relationship.

That's why I feel like this is all Naruto's fault in the beginning Naruto disguised himself as Sasuke using the transformation justu and was also flirting with Sakura at the ninja academy.

Sasuke is such a pathetic revolutionary. If he were serious about his "Hate me!" ideology, he would have killed Sakura in front of Naruto and Kakashi to show that there is no way back. But nooooooo... he didn't. He speaks about all that crap, but he's not capable of it.

compare today's chapter to a chapter like 437 or even 469 you'll see the HUGEEE difference. Look at Naruto's eyes one bigger than the other, The drawings look flat, the lines is rough etc.
