Whats this a stylized cartoony pixar/dreamworks like adventure is the first videogame announced for the PS4. Wheres the brown and grey and the gritty military realism, are we sure this is next gen? It looks pretty neat though, even if we saw no gameplay.

Personally I think the controller is kind of a mish mash of different features and materials and it looks kind of messy, but I'm glad the triggers have been redesigned and it looks like they have adopted the Vita's d-pad so that a plus.

Edit: Does anyone else find it funny that Killzone 2 became the benchmark and the most talked about thing when the ps3 was announced and now the same thing is happening with Killzone: Shadowfall and the ps4.

Edit #2: Woo InFamous. One of my favorite new IPs for the ps3 so I'm hyped.

Oh my god.... Tyranny of King George is episodic.... As in you buy and download every episode. I just finished the DLC released today and it just says "To be continued...." Blargh, I feel cheated.

Yes! Watch Dogs. Finally! Thank you, Ubisoft!

I have that game on pre-order!

That FF Title better be Versus XIII coming for PS4. Otherwise they're trolling hard.

I know, right?

Looks badass. Looks like a game I'll definitely be getting.

WTF. BLIZZARD?!?!? BLIZZARD?!?!

......Diablo 3 on PS4?!?!? What the hell.

Edited edit:

No showing the system? Just specs? I wanted to see what it looked like... I guess we gotta wait for E3.

Finally WATCH DOGS! Or as I like to call in, Assassin's Creed: The Modern Edition.

Also, the Blizzard partnership thing was a bit surprising, but they had advertisements for people with console experience awhile back, so eh...

2013, eh? Oh well. Watch Dogs and PS4, time to save up for them.

Boring as hell conference though.

Only other thing is, the PS4 will probably usher in the technology that'll produce Skynet. Terminator got it wrong, the military didn't create it, the collective desires of geeks and nerds did.

Yeah, it was boring. I already saw the controller. They played the same FF cutscene from E3. The games weren't that interesting besides Watch Dog. And the beginning, when they were talking about the share and connectivity stuff.... Blagh. Too much focus on it and not the games.

It's probably because I'm really not that terribly concerned with graphics.

I was more hyped up fighting the Kyuubi in the Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 demo I just finished playing.

That's a contradictory statement. You can't have good software without showing off the specs of the hardware first.

They had to introduce the specs and then lead into the games and other interfaces.

Otherwise it'd be like: HERES PS4 GAMES K THX BAI.

I didn't contradict anything. My reasoning with why I was bored with it was that I wasn't really concerned with how prettier the graphics are, I didn't care about being able to comment on other people's profile or whatever it was. I understand they showed the specs and such, but I just didn't care.

I'll still buy the PS4, maybe around release date, but I'm still content with my PS3, so the PS4's announcement wasn't really something that set off explosions.

It's fine. But it did make me curious how the "Nextbox" will compete with the PS4 now.

Sony did a good job. They introduced a lot of new ideas, and interesting capabilities. Gaikai is more involved than I had thought, as a Vita owner I'm glad they are pairing it with the PS4. Their BC solution is decent. I'm not getting rid of my PS3, I own way too many physical copies. What is going to be great is the livestreaming options to facebook and ustream. I know we are going to be uploading lots of our co-op adventures, competitive multiplayer etc. Letting your friend jump in and play for you? Get ready to finish my games for me Cloud.

Killzone was the graphics whore is always is, it looks phenomenal. The game looks colorful and exciting, the first glimpse of a next gen FPS

Infamous second son is an automatic buy, I love the infamous series.

Watch Dogs stood out the most for the third parties, it does look like a modern AC, the one we've always wanted.
Deep down looks like a nice surprise, I hardly even care what Squenix has to say about anything anymore, and Bungie needs to show some actual footage of Destiny. Quit talking about it.

Price, date and the actual box won't be announced until E3. They have to same some stuff for E3. Holiday 2013 is all we've got.

The specs are incredible, makes you wonder about the cost though.

They had better not go further than $499. Ideally, Id want it near $425 we'll see.

The best thing about this, is the news is out, they got the news trending. Being first is an advantage they get to utilize for the next couple of months.

425-499 seems like a good price. I hope Sony learned from their 500-600 PS3 price tag.

YOU MEAN RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACER? AND $599 US DOLLARS?

Oh god, lets not have a repeat of that.

That was when processing chips were expensive to manufacture + the new Blu-Ray drives. That drove prices skyhigh.

Square Enix went off the deep end this gen so I'm not surprised all we got was please look forward to it, it's virtually their catchphrase.
Not being backwards compatible as much as its disappointing will probably shave quite a bit off the price, also as good as everything looks it doesn't seem nearly as big a jump as it was between the ps2 and ps3 which to be honest is a good thing, there's still so much that can be done with more Ram, better particle effects things like that.

At the very least I think Sony learnt their lesson with $599 so I doubt it will be anywhere near that much, nothing they have shown lends itself to being anywhere near that much so yeah I agree somewhere in the 400s is a good estimate.

Did anyone receive the $10 dollar voucher for PSN?

Sony mailed some out to loyal customers in North America.

I didn't get mines.

Alas, no. That would've made me do sacrifices to Gaming God, Kevin Butler, VP of Sony Pantheon, if I got one.
