I'll try to explain, when I was kid I was afraid of heights, it's many years that I'm not afraid of it, but not long time ago, I saw a dream and feeled that feeling of being afraid of heights in there, when I woke up, I was like WTF?

Those are the so-called "Chiacchiere" (o "Frappe" or "Bugie", it depends from which italian area you come from). They are some of typical sweets for Carnival and also very simple to make.
Other typical sweets of this period are "Castagnole", which look like so

Chiacchiere and Castagnole can never miss in italian Kitchens around the carnival period. ![]()

I don't doubt it..
The dough for chinese Doughnuts its very soft and moist though
Which reminds me...I like steamed sponge cake too!
