Just finished watching an anime series today, won't say what it is cause I don't want to spoil it but it didn't have a happy ending, at least in my opinion and this isn't anything new, I've noticed more and more anime/manga seem to be following this pattern of an unhappy ending (not just the action romances). I was wondering if anyone else has been noticing this or if it's just the type of manga/anime I end up attracting. Just curious.

 

EDIT: It's moreso that mangakas/studios seem to be going for that "shock ending" rather than a satisfying ending.

I'm assuming. Ronnie Mathews is the conman who doesn't even sing, he just gets on stage and shakes his hips well girls squell at him. IT breaks Phoebes heart, although Helga thinks he is brilliant for coming up with the scheme. Later though Helga sticks up for her friend and they show just how close they are together.

I think a lot of what was good about the manga was because of Kishimoto's first editor's guiding hand. It's either that or Kishimoto just a complete sell out and doesn't really care, so he made the choice that he thought would sell best... so yeah tick your pick.

 

But yeah Helga and Phoebe are close though. Helga understood her pain and was there for her friend in the end.

Okay so....

- He still thinks, Naruto's love was a silly crush. And basically said, because he was 12, he didn't understand love. LOL so was Hinata and Sakura. LOLOLOLOL

 

- Still believes the early conceptualization of Hinata's character made them canon and that Kishi has always planned it from the start. Tell me, what's in the Hinata character early conceptualization? That he accuses me of not knowing what concept and creation process means, as an artist, I am insulted.

 

- Sai never asked Naruto about his feelings....   and I'm like Sai for coming to my own conclusion. Oh he mentions the fake confession. Naruto was sad when he failed to rescue Sasuke because his motivation was to help Sakura.

 

- I lie about things. Naruto and Hinata RECOGNIZE EACH OTHER BY LOOKING AT EACH OTHER'S EYES!!

 

- Mentioned Neji death for them to get together "for all readers." I'm sorry Neji.

 

- I have my selective reading and double standards.

 

- When was being together with Sakura ever Naruto's dream? Hm, I always knew it was one his his lesser personal goals, to get the girl of his dreams, right?

 

- It's not double standards when the guy in question doesn't have deep feelings for the girl (I mentioned Kishi terrible woman interview).

 

- I do not care about the characters.

 

- LOL SASUKE SHOWED HE RECIPROCATED SAKURA'S FEELINGS IN PART 1!!!

 

- I only care about the ship that I like.

 

- Sakura would look like he only fell for Naruto after becoming a hero, the fake confession proves it.

 

- I countered him with a "you turn Naruto into a prize for Hinata" when he accused me of turning Sakura into a prize for Naruto. Now he's saying no, both have turned to like each other when they matured.

 

- I want Naruto to stay in his 12 year old mindset for life. LOL you want Sakura and Hinata to stay with their 12 year old mindset for life.

 

- I claim Kishi to be a bad author because my ship never sailed.

 

- Red herrings and misleads are a staple in fiction especially for romance? Is this true? Cause I haven't read many romance stories to know. But I'm now starting to think putting red herrings is bad writing.

 

- I disregard Sasuke's own development and claim he didn't care about Sakura.

 

- The POAL will never be romantic no matter how I try to spin it.

 

- There are apparently no rectons. Just because I couldn't see the NH development in the manga doesn't mean it wasn't there. 

 

- And again, I do not care about the characters, acting like things are romantic when they're not.

 

- There are no downside to the ending, they're all happy. Other than me, a NS shipper the is so selfish I want to deny them happiness for my own ship.

 

- I seem to want a puppy love to be true love for Naruto. LOL then again, what about Sakura and Hinata? Don't tell me just because they're girls, their love is not puppy love? 

 

- Why should he take Naruto's crush if the manga never did. Why should he believe he was in love with Sakura when the manga only showed it for comedy (he stated even the 'hurting Naruto')

 That's why Aqua Timez is one of my favorites along with their song "Mask," an ending theme in Bleach. 

The visuals in that freedom song is so strong. 

 

 

That's what I was wondering about. Smiter mentioned it, and I wondered it there was any more news, or any more specifics.

 

Like if it's a film festival, that would have had set dates and would have been well known in advance of the Naruto movie. So that shouldn't suddenly halt the release of the movie.

 

Then what could have been something unexpected that suddenly delayed the movie? Connecting the dots, it does sound like they're either doing damage control or waiting for the bad publicity to blow over.

 

I wonder what the pairing love is like in the Philippines? If it is not completely in support of NH, then the movie is going to go over like a ton of bricks.

It said because of a technical concerns on the film content? It's also weird since every year, they hold the film festival on December,it has been a culture. Or perhaps our Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) really deemed it as such, hell I wouldn't be surprised if they block it for being too mushy (lol), they recently banned a local horror film that's to be shown, giving it a double "X rated" for content and the reason was being "too scary."        I watched its trailer and it seemed better compared to other local horror films being produced. 

 

People around me prefers Hinata over Sakura, heck one of them even hates her for being weak (does nothing but punches along with Tsunade) and loves Hinata and Mei because they're apparently hot. So pretty much. I've only met quite a few who're NS (and they're not even that deep into the series.) But I can say many fans here aren't really much into the story and only goes along the ride, many of them  would go to something that is easier to understand, and thus avoid things that makes them think and reflect. Filipinos are known for being more sentimental than logical, it speaks volumes because I sometimes find that in myself as well. And lastly, because this country loves White people, we try hard to become like the West. Sad mentality I suppose. So I can say this country is dominated by Hinata.

 

Most of them are neutral fans. In the shipping part, I think NH is more popular in here.

What angers me the most is Kishi's excuse that Hinata was the first person to understand Naruto. Seriously ? I'm supposed to accept such bs from the guy who wrote the story..?! 

 

What exactly did Hinata understand about Naruto other than his pain of loneliness and his nindo ? Maybe, just maybe Hinata was able to understand Naruto better initially simply because she was suffering from the same kind of pain.. ?

 

'' Sakura only understood Naruto by the middle of the story '' - Yes Kishi, Sakura was a 10 year old girl who had a very normal childhood. She did not understand Naruto initially because unlike Hinata , she did not experience loneliness. How can you expect a 10 year old child to understand others when even mature adults are sometimes incapable of that ? 

 

As far as I'm concerned, I see no fault in Sakura. She was simply acting her age. Its beyond ridiculous to compare Hinata and Sakura then ! Hinata only understood Naruto because she had the same problems as Naruto. This led her to observe Naruto more closely and she found out about his nindo.

 

Sakura had no reason to do the same. To Sakura, Naruto was this obnoxious prankster who always got into trouble. Only when she was put into the same team as Naruto did she understand that there is more to Naruto than a troublesome brat. How exactly does figuring out Naruto a little later make Sakura any less worthy..? 

 

What happened after that ? Hinata's 'understanding' of Naruto never went beyond his nindo while Sakura understood his dreams, she understood his abilities, his pain of being a Jinchuriki, the importance of his bonds with Sasuke, Jiraiya etc. Its safe to say there is no one who understands Naruto as much as Sakura.

 

The epitome of their difference in understanding can be seen when Hinata and Sakura are thinking about Naruto in the War arc. Hinata was all 'me, I want your hand, I want to walk together with you, me ' while Sakura was ' Us, your dream is in front of our eyes, no matter what you say we'll do everything together'. 

 

If indeed Hinata was supposed to be that special person to Naruto, why is it that she never ever was shown to even care about his dream about becoming Hokage ? Why is it that Sakura ended up being the only person who, from the beginning till the end, showed an unwavering and selfless devotion to Naruto's life-defining dream ?

 

Kishi can do all the mental gymnastics he wants in the interviews to try and convince everyone that Hinata was always the one. What he cannot do is erase from our minds the 698 chapters of his manga. And its there for all to see that the person who always understood and stood by Naruto's side is Sakura.

Exactly. Sakura and Naruto grow together and mutually support the dreams of the other. It shows growth and character development. That should be rewarded, not misguided persistence.

At times, I do believe the former because it did flow normally, regardless of some problems though minor and just early on, to the point you can have more stuff added on. Then, well yeah, things seem like it went backward and go against the databook like "You fool. You're wrong. Or in this case, I was wrong. Time to tell me something about it." It's a swerve that got everyone wrong. That's what makes it bad writing.

Yeah, I know. I forgot how the show was deep, especially that therapy episode, which I find it great. It's funny that one episode I used to find it lame back then because well it was no comedy if I recalled, but now, seeing that episode, I appreciated it a lot. In fact, my story has that anti-socialism going on, because well I have that experience in here and it's something that may create controversial, especially if it's something going viral. I'm only basing this on real life in NYC. As a young kid, I didn't know better to think everyone is too friendly. Then growing up, I see kids bullying others, robbery, acting like they're the best by lies, and so on. I guess that's why I feel so good seeing dark story that tackles this. That or when the bad guy feels too much of an kitten the satisfaction of seeing them defeated is great.

That's why I don't like bittersweet or too much happiness within an ending. Risks must be taken, tolls must be heavy, and so on. I want you the audience to feel the feeling of wanting to see the hero win the impossible, no asspull required. Something that not only one man can do but anyone can. That's the feeling I missed.

Or neither should you be speaking if you don't know what are the reasons of the said divorces... It's easy to judge, but why stay in a marriage that brings you doom? Or makes you feel worthless or unappreciated? Why throw away your life? Just because of a marriage? Sorry but I don't agree on this view. As far as we don't know why those people divorced, we have no right to say that they aren't in a good position to preach what love or family is.
