So... according to RAWs (another translation) Sakura wanted to kill Sasuke and die along with him (almost the same was said by Naruto who wanted to save Sasuke no matter what). Crazy woman. Naruto should have knocked some sense into Sakura's head after her attempt instead of joking around. But... he's just as crazy. I guess, it's a hopeless case. Let's discuss.

Also, Sakura's actions in the past seem to indicate that she doesn't really know what she wants, thus making it seem like she doesn't know herself all that well. Maybe this genjutsu will help her out in that She hasn't even addressed her feelings for Naruto so you can't arbitrarily determine what she feels for him.

But I wonder does those developments and parallels really matter when the girl who was said to be developing relationship with Naruto, in reality did not still has fallen in love with him. Do you seriously want to tell me that all the development through 690 chapters after being proven false in a romantic sense, will now again somehow magically change in the same day she already confessed and will realise that she actually loves naruto.
If she didn't realise/fall in love with Naruto these all chapters, I can't find a justifying way to make her fall in love with Naruto now.

Sasuke needs to file a retraining order on those two. 

It won't be enough, even if he were to kill himself, they would find a way to edo tensei him to stalk him and bother him with their love FOREVER.

NaruSaku fandom is easy to put down... Way easier than NaruHina or Sasusaku. But I guess, it's waht happen when your fandom relies on canon facts more than fanfictions and fanarts.

 

But it's sad to see Sakura regressing at her lowest (and still getting jackkitten from Sasuke in return). What will be next if Kishi is still in his 'let's kitten on Sakura' mood? will she break up with Ino again because she's still after Sasuke too.

They haven't been proven false in a romantic sense though. She has yet to even address her feelings towards him, and he has yet to do the same. This chapter was a desperate plea in hopes that she could reach out to Sasuke so that the two wouldn't fight, and that they can all "go back to the way things were in the old days". This chapter was really more centered on Sakura's T7 dream than her feelings. People forget that her speech came right after Sasuke told Naruto straight up that he was going to kill Naruto. The presence of that, before Sakura's speech, proves that the only purpose of her words were to stop them from fighting, and it proves how desperate she was to do so. She was just as desperate to save Naruto from getting hurt when she said those things in the LOI.

We got RAWs and VIZ, both of which support that there is no reason for NS seppuku. If I see another "we all gonna die", I'll be be very angry... tsunderishly angry.

Having been away from Narusaku for a while, I returned today to find the fallout from 693.  Crazy.

Its taken me a good few hours to read most of what has been said by everyone and I think the consensus is that Sakura used present tense and romantic love.  So she is saying she loves Sasuke romantically at this present moment.  To tell you the truth, I think that this leaves me with only two possible lines of thought:

1)  Its a trap!  I mean ploy.  She is trying to get through to Sasuke to appeal to him somehow.  Thats what I thought before people said romantic love and were saying its more about Team 7 love.

2)  The deluded girl is still in love with him.

To address the points:

If its 1, then I have no problems.  Good for her, try to do something.  As above AHK has stated, just before her speech Sasuke is threatening to kill Naruto.  So if thats the purpose behind this and its a false confession then fine.  I would rather she kick Sasuke upside the head, but to each his own.

If its 2...well...what happened to the character development of her throughout the story.  To elaborate:

a)  Romantic love should come through mutual interaction and attraction.  Else it is an infatuation or as the Japanese seemingly love to phrase 'unrequited love'.  She definitely has an infatuation.  She has no romance with him.  And even when he was still in Konoha she did not have the interactions necessary to evolve her infatuation to real romantic love as it were - as evidenced by her childish confession before he went off to Orochimaru.

b)  Since he has left, she has had alot of interactions with Naruto.  They have grown ever closer.  She has a real bond with Naruto.  She is not a child who cannot tell the difference between bonds and infatuations.  It is even implied she has genuine attraction for Naruto (Just when he comes back from training with Jiraiya).  So, in summary, she has all the hallmarks of a burgeoning mutual, romantic, adult relationship with Naruto.  This is built up in the character development, its not in dispute.

c)  In the Land of Iron, the confession part where Sakura says she loves Naruto is supposed to be real.  So there is definitely something there, right?

d)  So, why is she holding a torch for A over B.  Does it make sense in any universe?

I could understand if there was a deep and meaningful 'romantic' relationship between Sakura and Sasuke but there is not.  I believe, as many others do, that NaruSaku ships in the end, because thats what the author wants.  Although I have the horrible thought that Naruto may perish, which I would hate as I want him to have a happy ending.  But if Sakura's feelings for Naruto are the result of one "Genjutsu Ass-pull" rather than their years together, then it goes beyond merely cheapening NaruSaku.   It makes it hollow.  Naruto is Naruto, he loves her.  But if Sakura can still confess to Sasuke like that and if there no deeper meaning to it, then I think Naruto is better off finding himself another girl (not Hinata!).  Because, truth be told, she should NOT need a Genjutsu Ass-pull to find her 'true love' for Naruto.  That is utter bs.  It does not even make sense - loves Sasuke despite likes Naruto, then oh no Sasuke does not like me, Naruto has been there for me, okay Naruto, you are my man.  Actually that sounds a bit like her confession, talking about how Naruto is always there for her, etc.  Should it not be 'you make my heart race, you make me smile, you me happy'.  Truth be told, if she does not realise that she has the hots/love for Naruto by now, then its quite odd, because she is supposed to be an intelligent and mature character. I would hope that there is a plausible explanation, but if its an asspull explanation it will absolutely ruin the shipping of NaruSaku.

Anyways, I will hold my own torch that:

i)  The speech actually means Sakura is appealing to him as a Team 7 member and love bonds as teammates.  Please let this be the case and then everything can make sense in the context of everything else.

 

OR

ii)  She is lying about the romantic part to try to get Sasuke to stop killing Naruto.  This is okay too.

 

Sorry for covering stuff that has already been talked to death, but I read everything at once and I just felt I needed to write this down.  To get out a bit of my inner rage.  Romance causes so much rage, goodness.  Lets get down to a good old fashioned death match.  Just kill him Naruto.  POAL...err...I saved him Sakura...he's with his ancestors now.

The crisis is no more. We cleared everything. NS is safe. No harm done unless Naruto misunderstood Sakura. But Kakashi explained to everyone again what she actually meant.
