I still believe NS is the most likely, mostly because of its getting Minato and Kushina's approval, and because it's the only one I can see actually working (but that's more subjective). However it's sad Kishi still feels like he has to drag his dramu to the very end, making all the wannabe canon pairings look bad because he wants to pander to everyone.

 

Still Narusaku is the less despicable one, IMO. SasuSaku and SasuKarin are just horrible, he doesn't deserve their love (and I say that as a Sasuke fan), NaruHina is less morally wrong but it still rubs me the wrong way (going suicidal for a dude who otherwise doesn't care much about you, not even in a friendly way is weird and unnatural and crazy and a bit pathetic, and I say that as someone who likes Hinata a lot). NaruSasu is bad too, as I can't empathise with Naruto on that matter. To me back in part one Shika, Kiba and Chouji looked more like friends to Naruto than Sasuke ever did...

 

Kishi should just have been more straightforward. By trying to keep things seemingly ambiguous, he just makes thing bad and damage his characters.

 

That said 693 didn't surprize me, as Sakura hadn't shown any sign of giving up on her love for Sasuke. she has just been shown to be more and more fond of Naruto. Maybe it's a turning point to resolve that issue and kill SS for good.

 

Still you gotta love Sasuke's brutal honesty. He often voices my feel regarding this manga.

I don't even understand....how this can even be a cause for celebration for SasuSaku?

 

Not only has Sasuke flat out said he's not interested in her (a fact he made clear throughout this entire war arc), he just placed her on a violent Genjutsu depicting him striking her in the heart?

 

What makes the Genjutsu worse than simply putting her to sleep or knocking is the nature of the attack and the imagery. As far as Sakura is concerned, Sasuke has just killed her after she poured her heart out to him again as a desperate attempt to stop him from pursuing a path of destruction. That and people seem to forget that Genjutsu can psychological damage to the victim as well it seeming very real to whoever is the target. The fact that it's an illusion that leaves no physical damage is irrelevant when the nature of it is really violent.

 

They can still be physically affected by it as well. :)

 

You then realise that Sakura has not, in any way possible been a factor in Sasuke's redemption, nor has Sasuke, in his time away from Konoha had any fond thoughts of Sakura alone as a person. In every instance Sasuke has thought of Sakura, he has thought of her with the whole of Team 7 (which includes Kakashi and Naruto).

 

SasuSaku has romanticized violent acts of cruelty and general indifference from Sasuke, as well as twist Sasuke's character and placed too much importance on Sakura being a factor in his redemption. Kishimoto, for his faults has made it perfectly clear that Sakura does not, and will not be a factor in his redemption, nor has he built up Sasuke to be a potential love interest to.

 

There are no lingering feelings, because Kishimoto has not suggested it, nor does he care for her more or equally to Naruto, a fact he made known during the Kaguya fight.

 

Meanwhile, NaruSaku as a bond has consistently been one that is positive, caring and loving. Naruto and Sakura as chemistry which has been mirrored/paralleled in the manga. I don't recall any relationship in the manga that mirrored SasuSaku.

 

It's downright offensive and delusional to suggest SasuSaku can compare to or work on the same level as every other romantic relationship in the manga. It's the only relationship of it's kind and it has been consistently portrayed as something negative and one-sided/selfish/immature.

The SasuSaku fandom has never had any problem with Sasuke acting cold or brutal toward Sakura. It has always been about Sakura's all enduring love toward Sasuke, no matter how abusive he acts.

 

Of course they would celebrate.

 

That said, I don't think they like the abuse, they just think that Sasuke will eventually reciprocate (and finally act sweet and loving) if Sakura doesn't give up on her "love".

So apparently MS was only partially correct? That "she only wants to be yours" was nonsense, obviously, and the raw stated that "she only wants to help you". So she might love him, but she isn't interested in pursuit of it, she wants to stop him from doing bad kitten. Which means that I was right yesterday when I said that the whole spiel was out of desperation to keep Naruto and Sasuke from fighting each other lol

So SS truly died, and NS remained largely neutral, the slight positive coming from the promise of a lifetime.

"Aikitteneru" vs. "Dai suki"

 

Sakura said "dai suki" to Sasuke, litelally meaning "I like you very much". If I'm not wrong, she used "suki" as well in LOI.

Will Naruto say "suki dayo" or "aikitteneru" (which is on the whole different level)?

 

In English, I believe, it is either "like" or "love" (a more profound affection). In Russian it's the same, except that people strictly distinguish between "loving someone"(a true feeling which comes with closure) and "falling for someone/being in love"(more of a crush). According to Russian logic Sakura may think she's in love with Sasuke, but at the same time love Naruto.
