I don't remember who it was, either Rikudou or someone else, that it was confirmed there will be an epilogue, or in the last chapter if the word " epilogue " wasn't said as in showing what happened to the characters in the future, and the movie will tell what happened before the epilogue or the last chapter. Hinata's feelings possibly being a part of the movie's romance part.

 

The movie being the blank phase before the epilogue or the last chapter.

That's not truly saying much. That's like saying it's connected even though the world in there is robotic but it has reasons. Of course it has to connect because it's based on it. Otherwise, he wouldn't have to "best I could to connect" or whatever similar to it.

also, in the trailer it is said: Original work , Character Design and Story supervisor: Masashi Kishimoto. So while yes, there is a connection... Why say originally work done by Kishi if this is truly Canon? Because I'm sorry but I doubt a flash back like that with Hinata and Naruto ever happened in Canon.

the hate Inoue gets isn't even warranted. If she didn't like the main character she'd be loved but that's not the case. i love the character that Inoue is because she has realistic traits. She acknowledges the relationship Rukia and Ichigo has. Shes not completely focused on Ichigo and shes finding her way when it comes to being useful in battle. Cant say the same for Hinata who is all about Naruto. Shed be more likeable for me if she actually had a damn story. Just a character that just so happens to be in love with the main guy...

 

That's what I am saying, Inoue gets hate because of her constant 'Kurosaki-kun', and focus on Ichigo, but take that out and she's an amazing charactor, her abilties to heal and shield are unique and were enough to get her kidnapped by Aizen, and she's so bubbly, fun and quirky, like her cooking skill, or that picture she drew of what she wants to be in the future and she drew herself as a robot, she's hilarious, and she cares for everybody even her enemies. (I ship Inoue and Sasuke,...and by that I mean either that Emo Sparda or the emo friend who is also voiced by the same VA as Sasuke) ...Hinata doesn't have those other traits, she cares solely for Naruto to a point you'd be worried about her teammates if she saw Naruto in trouble, she'd leave them in the lurk, so if she was given more focus she'd be a really hated.

I wish we would get a more direct quote on that. Like, "this movie is canon" or "this movie is not canon, but related and could be taken as canon since Kishi wrote it". I'm so confused on that point.

No other movie has been stated to connect to the manga not even RTN which Kishimoto worked on. Anyway even if you dont want to call it canon, Kishimoto worked on it and it will be the only thing we ever see from the NV future. 

Well it is a new era which people would be confused as in why everyone looks different and else. I never said it's not canon, but it doesn't sound solid proof to begin with. It would be easier to ask the question on why and/or how did this (like NH for example) occurred or something like that. Plus, why Kishi would have to say the same thing dozens of times. Not to mention, they will say that and really don't effect the overall plot.

Here's a question: if the movie isn't supposed to be "the end" or whatever, even though they hyped it to be a new era, a short lived no less (or maybe...), then what would you be thinking exactly? What if the manga epilogue is only 3 months later? Take it as a if, if you must, but do answer without going "well it's already been said..." Answer the question.

Of course! How could we forget all those nondescript, faceless techniques that the Yamanaka Clan prides themselves on . It's not like they're a clan of interrogators, spies, and radiomen whose primary focus is to act as auxiliary for their companions, the Nara and Akimichi clans. No, we have to acknowledge the hidden depths of strength that was senselessly and unjustly handed to their offspring.

Forget the Hyuga clan being the strongest, Yamanaka must be the best.

Let's not forget that Sakura is supposedly close to surpassing Tsunade. What does that mean in terms of strength and importance for Ino? Is she on par with the Slug Princess too? Oh, but wait! Since Ino is part of a trio of mutually dependent shinobi who have learned to equally contribute and rely on each other, I guess that technically puts Shikamaru and Choji up there with Sakura and Tsunade as well.

So the tier listings must go something like this now, I assume:

Tsunade >= Sakura = Ino = Shikamaru = Choji

All this time Team 10 has been holding out on us. I'd really like to know what kind of training helped put them on par with a Sannin. I thought that was intended to be the White Fang's shtick only. Ino's not even a combat type and Shikamaru relies primarily on his intelligence and teammates in fights. How these three would be considered equals in combat is nothing short of insane.

Of course! Anything to ensure the top place for their deified character is perfectly acceptable in their eyes, even at the expense of the woman who is supposed to be the heroine. I always disliked Pierrot's interpretation of Sakura's looks. Ino isn't that much different. She's easily the mose sexualised out of the trio, and while hate is a strong word, dislike might be appropriate, in light of all the crap that's been unveiled with this movie (some of which I refuse to believe).

No, original work as in the source material. The manga is what the movie comes from. The movie is not the original work.

That's why Kishi said connected.

 

Connected means he's not deviating away from the plot of the manga. It means it's consistent with the manga's character and main things happened to them and anything that need to be tied. The other part of connected is what are the new things in the movie that had to be added.
