Don't get me wrong I liked the author's precursor fic "Experiments" but the crossover bs just kills "Troika Parallel" for me.

Character bias- That's a real pity, for exmaple, alot of good Narusaku stories are ruined for me alot of times because of that thing. I hate Sauske, but it dosnt mean I dont understand his importance as a character for the story. So when I read that Naruto says that the only reason he is saving Sauske his because his promise to Sakura and when Sakura Suddnly hates Sauske's guts for no reason, I stop readin imadditaly.
Grammer and spelling- Im not an english expert myself but for god sake if your grammer and spelling is crap, please stop writing!
Mary sue- Do I need to say more?
Mary sue fans- seriously... how can someone love that junk?

IIRC (read: too lazy to look it up) Shivakashi had written a InuYasha/HP cross previously and brought Experiments!Naruto to that universe. While I raised an eyebrow at that concept (because Experiments is that awesome) I find Troika Parallel well written enough that it's not a big deal to me.
I don't have many pet peeves when it comes to Fanfiction. Personally, IF you write well enough you can sell me on almost ANYTHING. The few I do have:
-I don't care for Yaoi. Yeah I have a double standard, I like Yuri. But it just doesn't appeal to me. As a matter of fact, the only fic I can recall reading that I like (and still read) with any type of shonen-ai overtones is Butterfly Effect by Bard Linn & Kiraya (FFVII fic). What makes the Yaoi fics especially bad is how most of them rush right to the er, point without even a token amount of setup. And MPREG...yeah. I try not to think of the mechanics of it, lest I start weeping uncontrollably.
-Given the amount of stuff on FFN, you better have a good summary ready to catch my attention. I hardly ever click on a new story nowadays without a recommendation, recognizing the author, or going through an author's favorites/C2 list. So you have to do more selling than "Naruto falls in luv. Sorry, not good at summarys." I will say that I once read a fic with "_____________" as its summary. And it was damn good, but that was a novel approach, relevant to the story, and was on someone's favorites list. But that's rare. The summary is your advertisement. Pull me into your store/story.
-This is my big thing. GRAMMAR. If a fic is sloppy with numerous misspellings and awkward sentences, I can't read it. It jars me out of the flow of the story. This includes 1337 and IM-speak. You might have the best story ever written but if I can't understand it then what's the point? I understand that not everyone speaks English as their first language but if they're that bad at it, get help. Get a beta.

(For the younger readers, a "record store" was a building that you had to go to when you wanted to buy music.)
(For the younger readers, "buying music" was the way we acquired it, since we couldn't just… you know what, let's just get back to the Bowen song. Stupid kids, you ruin everything.)

How deep is the overtone? Or is it just not serious enough? I loved that fic, as it was the only one other than the now erased DarkWindKaze's self-insert fic that was well written and had an awesome story in the FF7 fandom. I stopped reading it because the author stated that it might become hetero or yaoi, and that was just a depressing moment in time. I'll pick it up again if I find out they took the hetero route, and it seems to be that way whenever I skim over some of their chapters, but I could always be wrong.
I don't like either Yaoi or Yuri, though I don't mind it if it happens in a harem setting.

All in all though, nothing's happened either same-sex or opposite-sex. I have to commend the authors because it could've turned very easily into a smut-fest - but that's not their focus.

Also the whole uke/seme dynamic does not seem realistic AT ALL, and I'm not a gay man so I can't really speak from experience...but it's kind of insulting and troubling. Especially for the Uke.
I tend to see stories where Sasuke getting all hot and heavy over Naruto crossdressing is proof that he is so OBVIOUSLY HOMOSEXUAL.
Huh. Well I'm confused about that one.
Look folks. Naruto is a BOY. Compared to all the other guys in Naruto he is the most stereotypically manly guy in the damn series. He may be short and cute at first, but he doesn't have a soft girly face with fluttery eyelashes and a high soprano voice untouched by puberty. And he cries all the time for his seme to save him. Cries shoujo tears and whimpers pitifully when his seme rapes him and then later discovers that when he feel in love.
LOL WUT?
Actually I heard some girls talk about how they write yaoi because all of the female characters suck. Well write an OC, don't chop off Naruto's balls!
Now there are some authors who don't do this, and I will happily read these stories if they're written well. Like I do for any other pairing het or otherwise.

Yeah, I agree...why do that? Those people are searching for attention or something...
Normally you write because you want to...and it's nice to see reviews...but its not like you should be writing just to get reviews, right...
I also dislike AN's in the middle of the chapter

Its better to have those at the end actually, like what Terra of Genesis does.

I prefer jutsu translation names, not as part of author's notes at the end or right after it being said, but as a part of the narrative right afterwards -so it keeps the flow of the story steady.
I don't think I can think of any new pet peeves to add to this, aside from characters having a 180 in attitudes in the middle of a story, for no apparent reason whatsoever.

I avoid Yaoi as best as i can, but sometimes...typoes can lead to very very big misunderstandings, (I.e. Narusaku =/= NaruSasu you get the pic

And well, yeah like before, that Troika parallel, inuyasha crosses with Naruto, k fine, i accept that, Hp with naruto, sure, weird, but fun to read, but ALL THREE? Weird.....
Well, those who write for reviews, i dun really blame them, it feels horrible when everyone places u on favs and alerts without telling u why they did it, cut those guys some slack! XD
The a/n thing, well, i myself do one at the top, one at the bottom. Middle a/ns? As in halfway through the story, the guy goes (A/N: LOL) after a sentence?
