Anyways, about the newest chapter:
LMFAO, at Soma's and Megumi's reaction to the spicy food. Soma's pussy, swollen lips, and Megumi's fire-spying mouth XD
Pretty sure that Soma and Megumi will focus on another Chinese region's cuisine.
Love seeing Erina and Alice quarrel with each other. Imao, did anyone notice how Erina was wondering about Soma's father

But like I said REALLY SUBTLE in making that chapter right? Those hints were like a nuclear explosion really.
Yeah XD Btw, pretty sure the reason this chapter was made is to remind the audience of who the main female character is. Ch.52.5 was released around Ch.65 or so (so after the Curry contest), but chronologically takes place around Ch.46. The author prob knew that Erina's absence in the following chapters would make readers forget about her, so he created this chapter to reinstate her importance to the overall story (and not in a subtle way at all XD).
EDIT: More than anything though, I just felt bad for Erina :( It's pretty much there to hint that she needs to learn to set her priorities straight and to take some detours in her life before reaching her goal.

It was only up there for a few hours. That sucks cause the translations, while not perfect, were infinitely better than those of readmanga. Seriously, readmanga made Erina say S H * T in their translations 
... It's like they are completely forgetting from what kind of family Erina comes from XD

I haven't read the latest yet but concerning on the latest episode before later today, I really like it. I remember that angry cute cute face Megumi made. It's funny but adorable at the same time. Lol.
You know, I really wasn't aware that this series is already in USA. Why TG took longer?
B/c Tokyo Ghoul Japanese sales last year were still meager than meak. Shokugeki no Soma has long sold at least 100,000 Japanese copies, while a volume of TG only sold like, what?, 30,000 copies before the anime started (I know it wasn't a lot)... Like I've said, as sh*tty as the anime was, it fulfilled its job, and that is boosting TG's sales exponentially Just compare the sales from TG in the first half of 2014 and the second half of 2014, and you'll see the difference.

Megumi is pretty much Soma's closest friend in Toutsuki Academy if you ask me. They always help each other out, and it's endearing to watch how Soma helps her grow and become more confident in her cooking skills.

What chapter you're on?
I'm guessing (at least storngly hoping) that she'll make it into the Elite Ten next year. If she does, she'll be prob in the very low ranks (so the 9th or 10th Seat).

It did beat Naruto last year sales. I guess the effect is now going strong. Now I can pray USA knows about it. So far, it's in the top in Japanese bookstore.
