Nah, that's ok. I hated that about Shirou, too, in Fate Route.

I don't even know why they wrote him like that...

But I like their interactions when they were just being honest to each other.

 

Part of why I like the Unlimited Bladeworks route better is because Shirou doesn't act that why. He's a much better character in UBW, I think. I don't feel like slapping him.

I don't care about ships, too much, but more about the individual characters. I love Saber the most ^^

 

Overall, Saber, but I also like Rin and Irisveil from Fate/Zero. I don't really ship anything.

Yes! Merlin did magic to Saber so she can be a boy and make a heir..so much info...lol

Btw the weapon that Saber a king is called Caliburn! Saber Lily uses it

Can't wait for him to become a badass! Shipping is for fun, the story is more interesting

Not wanting Saber to fight because she's a girl and must be protected. He always acted liked she couldn't take care of herself.

 

I've seen diferent fan explanations to this...

The most accepted one is that Shiro doesn't like being protected, it hurts him. He is broken as hell because he is unable to actually properly express true emotions due the whole tragedy that happened to him. the only reason he kept on living was to try to replicate the same thing he felt when Kiritsugu saved him, basically the only way he feels validated and happy is by acting with selfleness.

This thing about "protecting girls" is just a front

Just like Korra, I honestly am fine with Saber not getting together with anyone. She is just so incredibly awesome.

Sakura... Oh gosh, she suffers so much in Heaven's Fell Route, too... I wonder how far Ufotable dares to go
