Sasuke swapped places with Sakura's jacket. It really wouldn't make sense for him not to appear behind her.

I second this... I noticed that too.... His ability makes him to switch places through some objects. So my original theory about his ST power was right.

If it means anything of the sort, Kishi might have planted it as misdirection. He has a nasty habit of heightening the tension between characters, providing events with a passage system which leads to a spectacle of close interaction. Someone already admitted it but #615 is like that, as are many of the chapters that involve characters who we know that have shown serious romantic curiosity in the other.

 

What's more concerning to me is that someone who has been as distant and uninvolved in Sasuke's personal life like Ino would have desires intense enough to watch him arguing for her affections with Sai. The Infinite Tsukuyomi is supposed to give a mental image of what the person seeks most of all. It speaks volumes about where her priorities lie. I would say that Sakura's emotional relation with Sasuke is certainly a step-up compared to someone like that (whether it's platonic or other things).

I don't really see that event as threatening. Sure, it could be a moment from a certain point of view, but Sakura wasn't really swooning over Sasuke like her twelve-year-old self would. She was exhausted from over exerting herself and Sasuke just decided to prevent her fall. Like anyone in a combat situation would do for an ally. Not to mention Sasuke was just stoically staring at her without any emotion.

 

Could this be a set-up for Sakura to find out the truth about the bench scene? Maybe. Though that would probably be weird if it happened next chapter. "Hey, I know we're stuck in another dimension and all, but remember that event that took place when we were kids?" So that's an issue. I'll just wait and see.

It means that Sakura is willing to do whatever it takes to help Naruto. She is willing to not have rest for a few minutes and risk a chance of Kaguya coming back to that dimension before they get Sasuke and get him back to Naruto, so that they can seal Kaguya up. She is pushing herself beyond the limit for Naruto, so that he can finally stop the war. It is all for Naruto because he needs Sasuke or else they can not seal Kaguya.

Does help? I tried to explain it as best as I possibly can and how I interpreted it.

I'm glad that this situation is over though I wonder what's the volume focus on really? It's hard to say for now. I thought it will be about getting Sasuke out as in taking it a long time, but clearly, there's more to it. So I guess I have to see the next chapter.

I think we should take this chapter for what it is and move on. If it turns out to be romantic in the end, it turns out to be romantic.

Of course the focus of the chapter is based around the last stupid page and the not the fact that it was about Sakura's will and her desire to get Sasuke to reunite the team. She proved her worth (for the umpteenth time in my opinion) and is looking at the end goal of defeating Kaguya, not deciding the ending to the love triangle.

I don't think we can fault them for that without looking like complete hypocrites. If Naruto was in Sasuke's place, we'd do the exact same thing.

I don't know but now Sasuke's back and Hokages still haven't done anything, something tells me there's something going to happen. Like...maybe the seal may not work after all. Unless Kaguya could just toss Sasuke to another dimension one more time for fun. Lol.

Of course ForneverWorld denied Sakura's badassery in this chapter. He didn't even mentioned how awesome she was. This guy need some medication.

Nice chapter, Sakura's determination really shone through. 

 

We also get another hint at Sakura's feelings towards Naruto!  Obito noticed that she was so determined not to waste the chance that Naruto gave them.

 

"When he stumbles, you want to help him..."

 

Every time Naruto stumbles or overexerts himself, Sakura always worries and always wants to help him.  Looking at the remains of Naruto's clone made Sakura redouble her determination, because she knows that Naruto seriously needs her help if he is to win against Kaguya.

 

Next chapter should be interesting, I guess that Sasuke will help them return to Naruto's dimension, and we may also have Naruto reacting to a wounded Sakura, unless she still has enough chakra to heal herself.

 

Sakura's discarded jacket ending up in the desert definitely hints that Sasuke needs to target something in order to instantly transport. He swapped himself with her jacket in order to escape through the portal.

 

However, if Sasuke can transport across dimensions, I wonder if he will actually leave Obito and Sakura behind?  It could be that Naruto's dimension is closer than the one he was in.
