^ I've thought of entering the Juubi's inner world, though only Jinchuuriki can probably do that.

This is Naruto's arc so I believe he will save everyone. Quite honestly, I want no one to share his glory. This arc is all about him, so anyone else getting the credit would make it look weak.

Well that was an exceedingly dark chapter. It's been a while since we've had one of those. Still, I'm glad that Sakura is okay. I also have a feeling that Shikamaru will live as well, because for some reason I just can't imagine him dying. He's a part of the new generation after all, but then again we used to say the same thing about Neji and look what happened. Still, he promised to look after Asuma and Kurenai's child and become a cool adult. Don't give up Shika. I know you can do it! I believe in you! 

 

Sakura was awesome in this chapter. It's always awesome to get a look inside her head, because she has such a unique character. She's both strong and resourceful, but at the same time she's also incredibly fragile and to me it seems like she might still be struggling with some confidence issues, especially in regards to her abilities as a kunoichi. 

 

She's just so damn...human.   Yes, I can see why she would somehow blame herself for the death of the other shinobi, but at the same time I feel like this is a situation where she couldn't really have done anything. It all happened so fast and with such force that it would have just been impossible for her to react in time, let alone attempt to shield everyone. It might even have cost her her life and if that had happened, the alliance would have lost it's best medic. Plus, Naruto would have been very upset.

 

Ino was also pretty awesome, what with her being able to relay Hashirama's message to the entire alliance. Something that, to my knowledge, is quite taxing. 

 

I liked how everyone was able to see into Naruto's heart. It's such a monumental event and yet it makes perfect sense in this context. Throughout the entire series, everyone has been mesmerized by Naruto's determination to never give up and now when both his ideals as well as his will power is being pushed to the limit, everyone might finally comprehend what it is that drives him.

 

The last thing I want to say is that if Kishi wanted to make me feel like when I'm going up against the final boss in a video game with the fate of the entire world hinging in the balance, then all I can say is "Mission accomplished!", because that is exactly how I felt when I read this chapter. 

 

15 minutes left. I would seem like the next chapters will be the end of the war arc. It's almost been two years now, but it feels like so much longer. So much has happened. It's amazing! I'm really looking forward to see what will happen next.

I do think Shikamaru will be fine. The sad news is that Sakura can't heal everyone, just one by one. I also believe that Tsunade will head to Sakura for reasons of Katsuyu, Sakura, and add support for the people.

nice chapter but damn Shikamaru is down right now . That was sad man . This might be Sakura-Chan's time in the limelight . 

 

And Sakura-Chan could feel Naruto's heart and emotions . Maybe not nothing romantic right now but it will come to that point soon .  and since its talking about regrets Naruto might confess to Sakura-Chan next volume or so . But I can feel a major NS moment coming that could end everything for good  .  Damn I'm anxious to see how it play out .

Did anyone notice that Sakura's internal conflict reflected Naruto's own?  Both felt responsible and guilty for the deaths that resulted in the wake of the tree's attack.  I thought that was interesting, and connected them as the hero and heroine on some level, showing such concern for others and feeling responsibility for it as well.

 

@ arian_rad, & BakaNeko-Chan:  Yep, that's pretty much exactly how I saw it.  

 

 

Nice argument. Pathos arguments never get to me, or even any sentence that begins with "You have to understand".

 

You could question what would get to you more; the villain blaming you for everyone's deaths or your father's death? Now examples aren't that big of a deal - they make the point clearer and easier to explain. But even if you remove them; I still think we should be past this by now, I agree that it feels repetitive. I would rather want to see him be scarred for life later, rather than involuntarily letting it out now, but that's just me. Because this is the moment Naruto has potential to grow as a leader.

Ino cried when her father died as well, about as much as Naruto cried for the fodders that died last chapter IIRC.  I get that normally, the loss of a father is a much greater emotional loss, and I'm not trying to downplay the strength and maturity Ino has displayed in the war (she's been amazing).  The difference is that Naruto was essentially responsible for the ninjas who died.  As I said in my earlier post, they were relying on and trusting Naruto to protect them, and Naruto was well aware of it.  I think that makes all the difference, especially with Obito twisting the knife in deeper right afterwards, and telling him if he hadn't continued to resist, those people would all still be alive.

 

I agree about the potential of this moment - hopefully Naruto will keep this new resolve for the rest of the fight.

 

 

I think it will take a while, because the Kages just arrived. They're going to somwhat save the day, and give new hope. Kakashi has to make an big entrance a bit later..to make it more fleshed out, and Kishi will give him the perfect timing of course.

I just thought of something. If Shikamaru dies now, his death has potential be even worse than Neji's. Different reasons ofc, but still. If an important character like him is gonna die, it might at least be epic.   That's why I'm crossing my fingers, even though Sakura-chan says it's too late.

At the italicized:  So we still have at least the following to go through before the end of this fight then:

• Kage arrival
• Kakashi's return
• Madara's trump card

I'm hoping that this fight and the war will be concluded in the next volume, but that really depends on the pace Kishi wants to go (this last volume's pacing felt especially slow, but it might just have been me).

 

At the rest:  I didn't see Sakura say anywhere that it was too late to save Shikamaru.  Just that she can't use remote healing at this point because the little Katsuyus were destroyed.  Shikamaru will live, I have no doubt.

 

The closest I can think of is Erza x Jellal.

Btw, possible Sakura and Karin interaction: they cooperare in saving Shika's life. Karin might recognize her life savior.

 

I really hope this happens myself.  I would like to see more interaction between the two, especially since I felt that the moment in which they cried together was touching.

 

I also hopes she gets to interact with Naruto as well, since they're related (likely distant cousins).  It would be pretty interesting to see how they respond to finding out that little tidbit.

Two things that cross my mind and please answer me. One is did Naruto intentionally did this for everyone to understand his final struggle? How deep does his heart tells everyone, or is it just regrets? I feel that people saw many things, but they're highlighted by each characters, in order to show connections as well as making them understand.

Judging by the way things are heading next chapter, it seems like my theory for the war arc ending next volume is becoming accurate.

 

There isn't much left in this arc now, I mean take a look: 

• The arrival of the 5 Kages 
• Kakashi's Return to the Battlefeild
• Stopping Infinite Tsukiyomi 
• Edo Hokages Disappear
• Sasuke's Betrayal

 

It doesn't seem like much, but for some reason it feels like something Kishi will do.

Well yeah, it really seems like it's coming to the end. I believe the next chapter the Kages will be there and maybe Sakura reacted to naruto's thoughts because well I realized how much focused she got and everything. It would seem Naruto will motivated everyone and we will see her section to it. Just remember 628.

He understood Sasuke is feeling inferior to Naruto again. Sasuke doesn't give two kittens about the war, he just wants to kill Naruto himself.

He does give yes, the main reason is that he doesnt want his memory of itachi turns into nothing for later to be able to continue his revenge.
 

Even so there's a difference, the deaths doesnt affect Sasuke because he doesnt care about the others unlike Naruto.

she's creepy around Sasuke a person that tried to kill her....and she's totally okay with it later when he says sorry.

 

no...I don't like her..theres no reason for me to like her.

 

I don't ship sasusaku becuase it's sad....and I don't ship sasukarin because it's sad.

Karin is all around unstable and, by all accounts, needs to be committed. 

I have serious qualms and issues with her character and have debated making a thread for my thoughts honestly. She might be the most offensively written female side character I've ever seen.

Yeah, that does make sense. He's out there not only upset that his wish for Itachi will disappear, but so as his desire to kill Naruto. OK, now I get it.

Well if the heart connections only show regrets, then that won't happen. Otherwise, it could happen but not because of the anime, but because it's just the way it's told. But anyway, war first, everything else later.
