Truth be told , i miss the old times when the strongest jutsus in Naruto were Rasengan and Chidori    , more hand to hand combat ,but still it isn't that bad .

I find it funny that the whole TenTails thing is somewhat related to some symbolism of Naruto and Sakura. We had the Heaven and Earth attack, now a flower blooming, dunno, I find it funny and interesting how you can connect them.

It would be interesting that in the future chapters they do another  attack and Minato thinks of another huge name for the attack. But that time it will sound fine.

 

Edit: If I think more about it thou. One would need one BIG ASS AXE to cut down one BIG ASS TREE?

So what does Tsunade say here? That she created or developed the Medical Jutsu?

Well Katsuyu clones were on all the alliance people, Katusyu clones use Sakura's chakra so the tree was prob absorbing her chakra from the clones on all those people who got caught.

Basically the prophecy is almost complete, this is the great calamity that Naruto is supposed to stop.

I wonder if the great sage toad will appear.

I'm surprised at this chapter, because Kishimoto just went mythology and religion on us. I'm digging the background of it.

 

But I wish Kishimoto make up a good fire user. Trees can be burned down by fire... Recall forest fires, anyone?

At this point I'm fairly certain it has a sentience not sure if it can speak or if it can be reasoned with. The one to do it is going to have to be Naruto.

I feel a NS moment coming but this chapter was kind of surprising .

I read this chapter 3 times to understand what was going on, the tree branches absorbed chakra from Naruto, Minato, Hashirama and Madara and tried to attain Killer Bee yet Sasuke Juugo and the fodders behind them were unaffected I wonder why ? Was it because they were closer or because they have more chakra (wouldn't make sense since Sasuke and the fodders behind him were fine and still had the chakra cloak) ? or maybe it's both ? and why is Sakura down when she still has her chakra cloak and Katusyu and Sai right next to her are fine ? I think we are missing some elements here to make a clear judgement.

The mythology sounds like a bad fanfiction and I don't see the point but I get the impression Madara doesn't know the whole deal. I am ok for the use of mythology and religious notions but this is too much it's like Naruto is the second coming of Christ or the return of the buddha (Maitreya), and Obito is the antichrist since he's the dark Naruto, now this child of prophecy bs is starting to make sense. If that's what Kishi planned since the beginning of part 2 then he didn't do a great job, I get the whole idea but the execution is not that great.
Madara's reasoning has little basis especially in light of his previous actions but he's a villain in Kishi’s manga and he is bound to be a poor deluded bastard who is looking for peace in his own way so no surprise there.

Can't really say much more I have no idea where Kishi is going with that but I will reserve judgment until things are expanded if they ever are but at this moment I am not convinced. Good thing tough the manga is getting closer to the end.

Given what he's ripping from he might as well have said God rather just gliding past the whole thing. Also does anyone know why only the Uchiha seems to know this despite him having two sons? And didn't Sasuke see some table in the compound at some point? Also if the tree could turn into a sentient being...well it's component are for some reason...it just seems mindless...why was it producing fruit it didn't want people to eat in the first place?

I wonder if she ended the conflict by laying waste to all the opposition. It doesn't say. There is a just a picture of people appearing to worship her, which tells you nothing.

I think the message is that it always should have a sage of six paths, the conflics started again because no sucessor were made, Naruto will be this successor and will end all the conflicts because he will become a "god" or he will find another way.

I think Kishi has ran out of ideas. The Juubi is now a tree and magical fruit gives people super powers..... I just don't even know what Kishi is thinking at this point. Do you think maybe Kishi decided to betray his own work and completely change the ending on a whim? I don't see any other way for him to think this was a good idea.

 

In any case I just hope the Juubi arc ends soon, this is just becoming trainwreck after trainwreck with a few shining moments in between to give us hope.

Hmm maybe kishi has changed the ending

There were hints thoughout the manga.

First we knew that the juubi was responsible for creating the humans, he just connected the dots.

Also i dont think he changed the ending.

Without it, our knowledged si that.

- the sage of the six paths was a guy that came from nowhere and sealed the juubi inside himself.

- Then he passed down his powers to everyone(ninjutsu) and was the father of ninjutsu.

- The juubi's transformations was resembling a tree, it started being a sprout and kept evolving.

 

I dont see how the "life god tree" changed the ending of the manga, when everything was leading to this, at least he give a logical explanation about how chakra appeared, and how that guy sealed the juubi inside himself.

I don't think so... From the original, it was like she said "My own medical ninjutsu (that I created) was born out of that will too...", she was implying that she created her own medical ninjutsus due to that will. It sounded just that she was talking about her own medical ninjutsu, not the whole system medical ninjutsu... Remember, medical ninjutsu already existed during Hashirama's times...

Hmmm....I read most of the comments and something...doesn't feel right. A good portion of you find this plot hard to believe. A tree that bears fruit and can create gods if that fruit is eaten? Why Kishi has gone off his rocker. Nay, I say.

I am about to bring up something else that is far worse than that. People know of my relationship with this series as I have mentioned it so many times before on the podcast. One I never said was that there was another reason why I hate this series. I want to bring that up now because I think I have a point to make.

I have to bring this up because so many people have told me how great this series is and how amazingly written it is, but...from all the comments I see here...

I want to ask you this. A tree bearing fruit that when eaten by humans gives them power beyond reality in this world is too much and too out there, but....

Yes, I have seen the ending....(finally)....and I have to say that it made even less sense than this does.

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase: "My will be done"
